Reviews mention

  • Protein-rich pasta alternative
  • Surprisingly authentic texture
  • Flavorful frozen pizzas
  • Kid-approved crowdpleasers
  • Inconsistent noodle integrity
  • Sticky, mushy overcooking risk
  • Noticeable chickpea aftertaste
  • Clumpy long-cut spaghetti

Banza earns strong reviews as a high‑protein, gluten‑free swap that often tastes and chews close to traditional pasta and even delivers standout frozen pizzas, while many note it can overcook quickly, turn mushy or sticky, and some cuts feel fragile. Reviews of Banza praise the satisfying, protein‑dense pasta, kid‑friendly appeal, and tasty mac & cheese (notably White Cheddar), but flag inconsistent texture across shapes, occasional bitter/chickpea aftertaste, and spaghetti/linguine that clump or stay too firm.

  • This a go to for me when I’m craving carbs. I know this is a healthier choice and tastes great!

  • It's not bad, but not good either. Flavor of the sauce was lacking a bit and also dry

    Feedback

Maybe I need a bolder flavor, extra sauce.

  • Such a good alternative to the real deal. The taste is a little off-putting by itself but you really can't tell when you add sauce.

  • This is my go to lazy brand of pasta for lunch when I want to get protein in but I don’t want to cook chicken or etc. The pasta is great and has the feel of pasta. Love the amount of protein to keep me satiated for longer than regular pasta.

    Feedback

Overall more variety at the stores!

  • I have used their pasta on so many occasions and it is super filling and a great healthier alternative

    Feedback

I think the cooking instructions are slightly off and I prefer cooking it a few minutes under to maintain its shape

  • I tend to shy away from gluten pasta since they make my stomach ache. Banza has the best alternative to gf pasta that I've ever tried. It feels like the same thing! Love the products and use it all the time

  • Yoooooooo this pasta is DELICIOUS. Cooks fast, Great Macros, no stomach issues. What's there not to love?

    Feedback

they could make more products..... 😗

  • Tried the pasta and the flavor is okay but the texture is off putting to me (stiff and crumbly), but someone that doesn’t have texture issues might find it good. The protein and fiber is really nice

    Texture

  • I love Banza and their alternative options for all my gluten friendly friends and myself! It tastes great, packaging is fun, and well worth a try. You'll be shocked how good chickpeas can taste.

  • Banza is my go-to brand for gluten free products; they mimic the texture of traditional wheat products really well. For someone who is gluten-intolerant and predisposed to Celiacs, it is great to find an easily available alternative that satisfied cravings. The toppings on the pizza's are great too, and it's nice to have a non-rice flour gluten free based product as an option.

    Feedback

It would be awesome to have more alternatives for pizza toppings.

  • Where to begin. Pasta is 11/10 and I will never go back. I have tricked people who didn’t want to try it into eating it and they couldn’t believe how delicious it was. The pizzas are also incredible. Such a wide variety of products and so so yummy.

  • I love every pasta from this brand— holds it's integrity after boiling and adds a great taste to the dish.

  • Macro-friendly, tasty, and easy way to get my protein in.

  • For an alternative to the traditional pasta, this is the best I’ve found. Traditional pasta is still my preference.

  • I really like the branding but I just can't get behind the chickpea pasta. I want to like it but every time I try it, I regret it. The texture is too much like cardboard to be worth it.

    Feedback

The texture of the pasta specifically needs improvement.

  • The banza pasta tastes like cardboard.

    Feedback

It should taste better; it would be fine if it tasted like chickpeas, but it doesn't.

  • Banza has become a staple pasta substitute for weekly meals. The benefit of added protein and fiber lends a tremendous hand in nutrition goals while still being able to enjoy some sort of fun and delicious dishes.

    Feedback

Texture tends to be a bit inconsistent. You have to be spot on with your timing or banza pasta can get mushy.

  • The pasta doesn’t taste like real pasta. Perhaps it’s my Italian bias, but this is not it.

    Feedback

    Develop the flavour.

  • I love banza! I recently tried their mac & cheese and loved that, too. It's such a simple switch for a more nutrient-dense staple. I think the taste and texture are very good.

    Feedback

Keep doing what you're doing! I love it! If you really want to add more... I thought the mac & cheese was awesome and would definitely buy other kinds of pasta-with-sauce combos like pesto, cream sauce, or even a hamburger-helper type box.

  • Their mac and cheese is a go-to favorite.Way less grainy than other chickpea pastas I've tried, and I love the high protein content.

    Feedback

More flavors of mac and cheese would be awesome, but I like it as-is!
