Reviews mention

  • Protein-rich pasta alternative
  • Surprisingly authentic texture
  • Flavorful frozen pizzas
  • Kid-approved crowdpleasers
  • Inconsistent noodle integrity
  • Sticky, mushy overcooking risk
  • Noticeable chickpea aftertaste
  • Clumpy long-cut spaghetti

Banza earns strong reviews as a high‑protein, gluten‑free swap that often tastes and chews close to traditional pasta and even delivers standout frozen pizzas, while many note it can overcook quickly, turn mushy or sticky, and some cuts feel fragile. Reviews of Banza praise the satisfying, protein‑dense pasta, kid‑friendly appeal, and tasty mac & cheese (notably White Cheddar), but flag inconsistent texture across shapes, occasional bitter/chickpea aftertaste, and spaghetti/linguine that clump or stay too firm.

  • Such a vibey brand, just wish it tasted a little better. Mushy pasta. But thankful they paved the way for mainstream-ing better-for-you pasta/pizza etc.

  • Banza pasta is a staple in my pantry. As a vegetarian, I find it to be a really clean protein source that it very versatile. Excited to try their other products at some point!

  • Absolutely love this and not only their pizza but their entire product range. My husband doesn’t eat wheat product and several other things that makes it hard for us to enjoy foods together until we found banza. Higher protein, lower carbs, and more fiber which I need as I get older. I’m a fan of chickpeas and beans and so this makes a perfect dinner for us and not feel bloated or unhealthy from eating PIZZA!!

  • Love this pizza. So delicious and healthy at the same time!!

  • I love this brand! I love the pasta and the pizza. I actually like the banza pasta taste over regular pasta. It’s a great healthier alternative, too!

  • Has a bit of a gritty texture. Serves the purpose but is not a seamless substitute for regular pasta. Don’t hate it, but prefer another brand for my gluten free pasta dishes

  • Not a fan of the texture of their pastas but I do like how protein heavy they are. Their pizzas are not there yet, the texture is way off, the portion is so small for the calories and the overall taste is nothing like pizza. Would skip this "healthier" pizza and just eat something more clean instead and have a proper pizza another time.

  • One of the best gf pizzas out there! Also all the pasta products are amazing

  • I’m never one to favor alternatives, but Banza doesn’t feel like one. It taste like regular pizza and has an amazing crunch too!

  • This pizza is absolutely amazing and a great high protein option as well. I think they’re doing a great job putting a variety of products on the market and this was one of my favorites!

  • Okay pizza, not one of the best as far as the crust. The vegan cheese is good.

  • I love Banza pasta. Every shape. It’s easy to cook, filling and it’s great with every sauce and vegetable. Love it with vegan cheese. It’s an excellent option for gluten free pasta.

  • The fact this pizza is made from chickpeas blows my mind, because IT ACTUALLY TASTE GOOD!?!

  • Last week I tried their rotini pasta and we were impressed! My partner is Italian American, he was just as surprised and delighted as I was. It really was very close to regular pasta in flavor, the texture was a tiiiiiiny bit chewier - that was the only difference. The extra protein is a big sell for us as we’re trying to hit a protein goal each day and reduce our calorie intake but obviously love pasta. We will continue to buy the rotini and try more pasta products.

  • In general I have liked banza products. They aren't the same as the "real" products but they are great healthier alternatives and I really appreciate.

Better textures would be nice but I am still buying their pastas etc.

  • Love the banzai pasta and rice line. The texture is fantastic, which is always the issue with non traditional pastas. The only thing I'd say is...make sure to actually follow the directions! One time I put my pasta or rice in before the water was completely boiling and....it disintegrated by the time it was "done" little pricey, but highly recommend!!

Great product, little pricey, but very tasty and worth the investment in your health! I already recommend banza to anyone who can't consume traditional pasta or anyone looking to improve their diet!

  • I've only tired the pasta but its been great, my nephew cant tell the difference but he is getting the benefits. excited to try the pizza.

  • Love Banza products, it is a great alternative to pastas and pizzas - but it certainly isn't a 1:1 swap, and thats okay! My favorite way to add protein into my normal meal schedule is some Banza pasta with sauce and meatballs - YUM!
