Reviews mention

  • Protein-rich pasta alternative
  • Surprisingly authentic texture
  • Flavorful frozen pizzas
  • Kid-approved crowdpleasers
  • Inconsistent noodle integrity
  • Sticky, mushy overcooking risk
  • Noticeable chickpea aftertaste
  • Clumpy long-cut spaghetti

Banza earns strong reviews as a high‑protein, gluten‑free swap that often tastes and chews close to traditional pasta and even delivers standout frozen pizzas, while many note it can overcook quickly, turn mushy or sticky, and some cuts feel fragile. Reviews of Banza praise the satisfying, protein‑dense pasta, kid‑friendly appeal, and tasty mac & cheese (notably White Cheddar), but flag inconsistent texture across shapes, occasional bitter/chickpea aftertaste, and spaghetti/linguine that clump or stay too firm.

  • I have tried Banza pasta many times. I love that it's a healthier alternative to pasta. My husband says he can taste the difference and doesn't like it, but I think it's just as good.

  • I continue to purchase Banza occasionally when the gluten-free pasta options are limited, but it just never quite manages to be what I am looking for. It is very easy to overcook, the texture can become mealy quickly, and I often find the product does not stand up to sauce. The cooking process can also be irritating, producing a lot of foam to boil over the top and cooking time seeming to be a knife's edge for getting the right consistency.

  • Felt super clean and tasted delicious

  • I use Banza when I make mac and cheese and it's kid-approved at our house. I like the little bit of nutty flavor with a bit of chew. Yummy replacement

  • I love banza - such an incredible replacement for pasta, pizza etc

  • It’s very similar to regular pasta and a great alternative!

  • It was ok. A lot of gluten free pasta has a weird texture and this one did too. What I found was best was to slightly undercook and then thoroughly rinse with cold water. Did use for my thanksgiving mac and cheese and it was good. Good for a gluten free pasta but not a substitute for regular pasta

  • This is one of the best companies ever! High protein, clean ingredients and really delicious! Their pizza is amazing, crust is never soggy. Their rice isn’t perfect but it’s really good and we love it. The pastas are also great. Again, for doing imitations of main staples with chickpeas, I think all their products are super good!

  • I’m gluten free- so I keep Banza products in my pantry to make all of the pasta dishes I like to make. I also like the higher protein and fiber content

  • Seriously the only pasta we buy in our house! Such a great alternative and love the added protein. The texture is not too far off from regular pasta and the flavor goes well with any sauce we’ve paired it with!

  • I like most of the products made Banza, my personal favorite being the pizza. It's a good option for people who need pasta alternatives.

  • Pleasantly surprised by this product! I purchased for my toddler and was worried about the difference in taste but they didn't even notice. Honestly if someone made me dinner with Banza instead of typical pasta - I wouldnt even notice. They are easy to overcook though and become mushy.

  • These are great gluten free noodles. Their Mac & cheese is good as well. They do froth more than a typical noodle when cooking. So you do have look over them. I continue to purchase them

  • Love them! So far, the best gluten free noodle that is filling and holds up well during cooking.

  • Not nearly as tasty as other alt-pastas. Too chewy. Great design though

  • I really loved the alternative they have provided. If you cook for a max of 7 minutes tha pasta stays ardente (firm with excellent texture). Wait until the water boils and throw the pasta (6 minutes would do fine for those that love a more firm pasta). Goes great with Rao's marinara sauce and some bison ground beef 😋. Fully recommended.

  • Banza’s pasta has the most similar texture to regular pasta compared to all the other bean pastas. I like that it doesn’t break apart when I’m putting sauce over it, and it doesn’t leave a weird after taste. 10/10 recommend!

  • Really tasty.

  • Actually super good! I wish the packets had more of a cheesy flavor and I usually add a bit of milk or butter to make it taste richer. The white shells and cheddar are my favorite and one box is perfect for two people because the amount of protein fills you up so well.

  • Banza is good if you HAVE to eat it, but I wouldn't opt for it by choice. It's a bit grainier than other GF products. Good with lots of other textures. The taste is just dandy and pairs great with vegetables.
