Reviews mention

  • Protein-rich pasta alternative
  • Surprisingly authentic texture
  • Flavorful frozen pizzas
  • Kid-approved crowdpleasers
  • Inconsistent noodle integrity
  • Sticky, mushy overcooking risk
  • Noticeable chickpea aftertaste
  • Clumpy long-cut spaghetti

Banza earns strong reviews as a high‑protein, gluten‑free swap that often tastes and chews close to traditional pasta and even delivers standout frozen pizzas, while many note it can overcook quickly, turn mushy or sticky, and some cuts feel fragile. Reviews of Banza praise the satisfying, protein‑dense pasta, kid‑friendly appeal, and tasty mac & cheese (notably White Cheddar), but flag inconsistent texture across shapes, occasional bitter/chickpea aftertaste, and spaghetti/linguine that clump or stay too firm.

  • Love Banza! Such a great alternative to regular pasta.

  • I love being able to get my protein from my pasta! It feels like a healthier way to indulge. These do take longer to cook and soften than regular pasta so make the time, but it is a delicious alternative to your daily carbs

  • I love this pasta, you can’t feel or taste the difference between regular pasta!!! My favorite way to do it is with some ground turkey, tomato sauce and cream cheese

  • Really poor texture and strong flavor... often falls apart easily

  • Most pastas give me instant heartburn. With Banza, I feel like I can actually enjoy dinner again without the worry of feeling awful for hours afterwards. The great taste and texture make it perfect for hosting a pasty and not feeling like it’s diet food. I love the added fiber for my kids as well. I’d highly recommend this product

  • My husband is diabetic and needs to eat a lower carb diet, which means we don’t eat a lot of pasta. This is a terrific alternative. It’s got a little more “chew” than regular pasta, and the flavor is subtly earthy, but it’s a whole lot better than no pasta at all! And honestly, we’re used to it and generally prefer it now. Plus, higher protein! Less carbs! That’s a win!

  • Absolutely love!!! Can count on Banza to taste great while still meeting my health needs! Dream of a brand!

  • These pastas are one of my favorite bean pastas! I've tried many of the pasta shapes. They have added starches and xanthan gum so the texture is more chewy than other bean pastas. This makes it feel more like a regular wheat pasta.

  • The products are natural and taste so good

  • This product is very good and you can taste how healthy and fresh it is. You can also tell that it doesn’t have all the added bad ingredients in it

  • For people who like alternatives to normal pastas, this is great product to try. This looks and cooks just like traditional pasta. It works great in recipes or as a standalone dish.

  • Love giving my toddler a mac and cheese with protein’

  • Tasty and filling. Not the same texture as Annie's cheddar shells but the pasta is still good, and worth it for the protein. Cheese is great in flavor and texture.

  • I am gluten free and banza has always been my go to gluten free pasta! I love using it for mac and cheese or spaghetti and I truly cannot even tell that it is gluten free!

  • Great flavor and love the ingredients, however, the pasta was kind of a weird texture. My toddler was not a fan and neither was I.

  • Love this pasta. Great consistency

  • I’m not sure if I cooked them right. The taste wasn’t bad but not good. The texture threw me off.

  • I love the extra protein content of this pasta compared to just regular pasta. It is a unique take on pasta since I never knew of chickpea pasta before I saw this brand. I go to the gym so the extra protein is amazing!!! It also tastes pretty much like pasta, there isn't much flavor and the pasta sauce you use gives it the most flavor. I think the texture is a bit off though, it is not like regular pastas texture and can also get a bit mushy so that's why I wouldn't give it 100% an amazing review. The texture is the only thing I dislike a bit about the pasta but everything else is great!

  • This is a great pasta alternative if you’re looking for something that’s higher in fiber and protein than traditional pasta. Although I’m not gluten free it’s nice that I can make if for family members that are without having to compromise too much. The taste and texture is definitely different than real pasta, but I find that once it’s mixed with a good sauce the ‘chickepea’ taste disappears. The pieces do tend to break and fall apart if overcooked

  • Love the high protein, taste, and texture! My only complaint is the pasta water boils over like crazy, it’s hard to get used to.
