Reviews mention

  • Protein-rich pasta alternative
  • Surprisingly authentic texture
  • Flavorful frozen pizzas
  • Kid-approved crowdpleasers
  • Inconsistent noodle integrity
  • Sticky, mushy overcooking risk
  • Noticeable chickpea aftertaste
  • Clumpy long-cut spaghetti

Banza earns strong reviews as a high‑protein, gluten‑free swap that often tastes and chews close to traditional pasta and even delivers standout frozen pizzas, while many note it can overcook quickly, turn mushy or sticky, and some cuts feel fragile. Reviews of Banza praise the satisfying, protein‑dense pasta, kid‑friendly appeal, and tasty mac & cheese (notably White Cheddar), but flag inconsistent texture across shapes, occasional bitter/chickpea aftertaste, and spaghetti/linguine that clump or stay too firm.

  • For a health-conscious person, this will suit them. The pasta is somewhat tasty and needs to get used to. But when combining this product with, say, classic tomato pasta sauce of any kind....that sauce had great trouble wanting to get married to the pasta itself.

  • I’m not sure this is any better than normal pasta. I went on a pasta rage to try different tupes and i think some of the cauliflower pasta is better

  • Pros: -might be easier to find since its at many retailers -Gluten free -higher in protein -Tastes good Cons: -Not Organic -Noodles shape consistently falls apart -other better gluten free options out there -Not a toothy bite

  • I use this brand to get all the right nutrients and fill my stomach. I sometimes mix it with my regular pasta if I don’t wang to add other veggies

  • Very crisp Very consistent product quality

  • This isn’t my absolute #1 gluten free pasta brand but it is readily accessible, a good price, and high protein which is great! It also is great for those who can’t eat grains. I would definitely recommend!

  • The pasta tasted pretty good, almost no difference with generic store-bought white ones. Probably best tasting out of all vegan pasta I’ve tried.

  • This is the first chickpea brand on the market that ever became known, and it's for a good reason. Banza uses chickpea and offers a healthier alternative. I would like for them to use better ingredients but love their pasta and pizzas.

  • I love this pasta! It is slightly denser in texture than standard pasta, but overall it is delicious. I think it can be used in any recipe that calls for pasta without anyone even noticing the switch.

  • I used this pasta in place of my normal regular pasta and it replaced it perfectly! It was easy to make the texture was just like regular pasta but the less carbs made me feel better after! Highly recommended!

  • I wanted to try a high pasta but the gumminess and flavor on this pasta was awful. I couldn't get myself to eat any of my meal prep with this or try it again. It's just not what pasta should be and I can't get past it.

  • For a pasta alternative it is pretty good! I really like that it is high protein. This was a staple for me on a paleo diet where I avoided grains, so banza allowed me to enjoy pasta again!

  • One of my very favorite gluten free noodle varieties! I love that these noodles are made with chickpeas rather than an assortment of grains.

  • my favorite pasta. And I’m a pasta lover. I love that. It has more protein than the standard pasta. And offers an alternative for those who are gluten-free stays pretty affordable as well which is great. I’ve tried other chickpea, lentils, black beans pastas and I have been quite disappointed is by far the best texture and flavor for an alternative pasta .

  • Great gluten free alternate for pasta, my kids don't even know! Also affordable as well compared to other gluten free products.

  • Really good, but the texture is slightly different than normal pasta! I love the concept for people who want more protein, but my family noticed the difference!

  • Initially purchased for my auntie's low carb diet, but its pretty delicious for regular eaters, too. Higher fiber and protein, decent texture, barely counts as health food!

  • It’s a great gf pasta alternative but still making my stomach hurt. I find other bean pasta alternatives better

  • I have to admit, I was really skeptical when I first heard about Banza Chickpea Pasta. I’ve tried a lot of gluten-free pastas, and most of them just don’t live up to the real thing. So, I wasn’t expecting much when I cooked up my first batch of Banza, but wow, was I wrong! This pasta is absolutely delicious—so much so that it’s now a regular in our household. The texture is spot on—firm and satisfying, just like traditional pasta, and it doesn’t get mushy or fall apart like other gluten-free options often do. The taste is amazing, with a subtle nuttiness that complements any sauce or dish you pair it with. I was blown away by how good it is, and the fact that it’s packed with protein and fiber makes it even better. What really sealed the deal for me was when my picky grandson tried it. He’s usually not a fan of anything that strays from his usual favorites, but he absolutely loves Banza! It’s the best gluten-free pasta on the market, hands down. If you’re looking for a healthier alternative that doesn’t sacrifice taste or texture, I can’t recommend Banza Chickpea Pasta enough. It’s a total game-changer!
