Banza earns strong reviews as a high‑protein, gluten‑free swap that often tastes and chews close to traditional pasta and even delivers standout frozen pizzas, while many note it can overcook quickly, turn mushy or sticky, and some cuts feel fragile. Reviews of Banza praise the satisfying, protein‑dense pasta, kid‑friendly appeal, and tasty mac & cheese (notably White Cheddar), but flag inconsistent texture across shapes, occasional bitter/chickpea aftertaste, and spaghetti/linguine that clump or stay too firm.

LOVE their chickpea pastas. The only GF pasta that I actually love

I tried their pasta and was amazed at how many grams of proteins there were per serving. The orange noodles seemed a little funny at first, but they were so delicious. Made myself some simple vegan pesto to pair with the pasta and was not disappointed! I would recommend this brand’s pasta over some of the other competitors on the market. Its texture and taste won’t catch you by surprise.

My favorite pasta being vegetarian it faves me so much extra protein

It's pretty good, but still doesn't quite hold up like pasta after boiling. Though it is one of the better non-pastas out there.
Feedback
It could still be a bit more like pasta.
The best pasta ever plus you’re getting protein so it’s a double win. Won’t eat any other pasta at home
We love how this brand takes the guilt out of carb-laden foods! The pizza is our favorite - well worth the price premium compared to other frozen pizzas - but we've been buying the pasta for years, it's a staple in our weekday dinner rotation.
Feedback
Pasta breaks apart too easily and doesn't maintain its integrity after boiling.

Banza's products are all great. Specifically the pasta provides greater nutrition compared to regular wheat pasta. I think that the chickpea taste is subtle & taste better actually.
I’m a loyal banza consumer! It makes it so easy to get plant-based protein into your diet and it really does not taste much different from normal pasta.

There could be better packaging for saving it for later. As it’s just a box, it does tend to go stale quickly especially in humidity.
I'm not gluten free but having tried many GF pastas, this is the only one that actually tastes good. I cook often with regular gluten pasta, but when I want a little extra protein in a pasta salad or similar dish, I'll buy Banza.
I appreciate having the option to add extra protein to a pasta dish.
Feedback
My only feedback is I wish you could cook this to be al dente, but I’m not sure if it’s possible given that it’s chickpea.
If I could be a brand ambassador for them I would! Absolutely love their pasta and the added protein is great

I've recently tried to switch over to more "healthy" pastas but it's been a struggle. Personally I think the texture is the what throws me off. I might need to experiment with the cooking times to try to get that texture from mushy to pasta-like.
Chickpea pasta and plain crust pizza are staples in my household. Easy to swap for gluten-free recipes, and affordable.
Love the mac and cheese! A go to for protein, although one box is more like one serving for me. The pasta is great, and the pizza is just okay.
Good tasting pasta that’s not to chalky and is a nice substitute if you want gf pasta.

Expensive.
Banza noodles are delicious. Such a great alternative to normal noodles. Great flavor and texture.

Love banza pasta!!! I have tried several of the pastas and all have been delicious and cooked very well. I have not tried the pizza but will in the future.

There is just something about being able to eat a whole pizza made mostly from veggies and whole foods and not feel sluggish or overly full afterwards. I love a thin and crispy crust and this chickpea crust is somehow both hearty and delicious! I’ve tried every flavor of their pizzas and the veggie is probably my favorite. The mac and cheese is a standout too—the protein content really keeps you full!

Pricey—depending on where you buy from, these can be up to $10-15 for a pizza.

Gluten free savior!! I love Banza alternatives, I usually stick to the pastas/rice products which are an easy swap.

Certain noodle shapes fall apart easier.
Banza's mac n cheese is top notch in the gluten free world. Highly recommend the white cheddar, in particular. I also appreciate that the nutritional profile makes it more 'healthy' / feel acceptable to eat a whole box in one sitting... Their pizza is also quite good, but it's more of a flatbread.
