Reviews mention

  • Protein-rich pasta alternative
  • Surprisingly authentic texture
  • Flavorful frozen pizzas
  • Kid-approved crowdpleasers
  • Inconsistent noodle integrity
  • Sticky, mushy overcooking risk
  • Noticeable chickpea aftertaste
  • Clumpy long-cut spaghetti

Banza earns strong reviews as a high‑protein, gluten‑free swap that often tastes and chews close to traditional pasta and even delivers standout frozen pizzas, while many note it can overcook quickly, turn mushy or sticky, and some cuts feel fragile. Reviews of Banza praise the satisfying, protein‑dense pasta, kid‑friendly appeal, and tasty mac & cheese (notably White Cheddar), but flag inconsistent texture across shapes, occasional bitter/chickpea aftertaste, and spaghetti/linguine that clump or stay too firm.

  • Chickpea noodles are amazing, less grainy, and not as prone to falling apart as some of their competitors.

  • Banza pasta had opened up so many dietary options for me. Love how I also get my protein in

  • Great tasting, healthy option if you are trying to increase your protein intake! I usually make this pasta with creamier sauces, and it covers up the slight taste of the chickpeas completely. If you make a dry pasta dish, the taste might peek through a little, but it's not bad. Great product, love that I can easily meet my protein goals while still eating my favorite foods.

  • Great gluten free products, high protein so you don’t need to have as much of it to feel sustained.

  • Love the pasta, but hated the pizza.

Maybe sell the pizza crust without the toppings?

  • Banza is the first chickpea pasta I tried and its still my favorite to date. Their pastas are perfect for a filling dish without the guilt.

  • I really enjoy the pasta and like that it is higher in protein than regular pasta. The boxed Mac n cheese is tasty too! However, my boyfriend does not enjoy the taste/texture so I can’t buy as often as I would like.

  • The best of the best when it comes to gluten free pasta and pizza. Now, it doesn't taste like gluten pasta but it's pretty close and you get a solid dose of protein which makes it filling in addition to delicious. I always cook the pasta for longer than the cook time (3-4 mins longer) so it's a little softer but would highly recommend. Their pizza crust is yummy too!

  • I really like the Banza products. I've mainly tried their pasta and I think it's really good. The pasta kind of has a peanut butter taste to it which doesn't bother me but I could see it bothering others. The consistency is a little different, it's a little chewier than regular pasta, but I think it is still very good.

    Nothing!

  • Really loved the Banza pizza, just like I love their pastas. The added protein helps me to hit my goals while enjoying the foods I’d typically miss out on.

Would love to see a dairy free version of this!

  • It's a good alternative to regular pasta for those who want more protein or are gluten free.

    Feedback

The taste is a bit off, but fine overall.

  • I like that it offers a vegan option for pasta etc. but wish it was organic.

They should make their products organic to compete with Tolerant.

  • as a vegetarian, banza has really helped me up my protein without having to adjust my diet too much! i really like their variety of products, and everything i’ve tried so far has been really tasty!

  • I've only tried Banza pasta but I think it's fantastic. Love that the macros are better than normal pasta but texture is still great. Some other products made with alternative flours or "healthier-for-you" branding tastes terrible but Banza is great.

Would love to see other products, maybe frozen meals or something. Don't think the pizza crust is that great

  • i LOVE Banza - pizza, rice, and pastas. No, it doesn't taste identical to flour-based pastas, but it's the absolute best-tasting alternative I can find. And the protein! Excellent substitution for gluten-conscious folks looking to add protein to their diets. Be careful with cook time, though - if overcooked, it's TERRIBLE.

  • The pizza crusts were great and definitely tasted good. The texture was awesome for being made from chickpeas! I think they achieved what they set out to do!

Nothing that I can think of.

  • Such a great pasta alternative; the pasta is loaded with fiber and protein.

    Feedback

The pasta can taste a little chalky in the bringing, and it goes away once you are used to it.

  • Review is for pasta and vegan mac & cheese by someone who isn't gluten free. Pasta is delicious and hits the spot for me as much as regular boxed pasta. I don't buy regular pasta anymore, I only buy Banza. Vegan mac & cheese is not flavorful or "cheesy enough" - I prefer daiya's gf/df version.

    Feedback

I'd love to be able to buy pasta in larger quantities to limit the amount of packaging I'm tossing.

  • Great alternatives to wheat-based carbs!

    Feedback

Taste profile - it doesn't taste like generic carbs.
