Reviews mention

  • Protein-rich pasta alternative
  • Surprisingly authentic texture
  • Flavorful frozen pizzas
  • Kid-approved crowdpleasers
  • Inconsistent noodle integrity
  • Sticky, mushy overcooking risk
  • Noticeable chickpea aftertaste
  • Clumpy long-cut spaghetti

Banza earns strong reviews as a high‑protein, gluten‑free swap that often tastes and chews close to traditional pasta and even delivers standout frozen pizzas, while many note it can overcook quickly, turn mushy or sticky, and some cuts feel fragile. Reviews of Banza praise the satisfying, protein‑dense pasta, kid‑friendly appeal, and tasty mac & cheese (notably White Cheddar), but flag inconsistent texture across shapes, occasional bitter/chickpea aftertaste, and spaghetti/linguine that clump or stay too firm.

  • Banza pasta started off as a delightful alternative for me with its high protein content and great taste. However, over time, I noticed a decline in its quality. The texture became less appealing, and the flavor seemed to diminish. While it's still a healthier option, I'm disappointed by the inconsistency. I hope Banza can address these issues and maintain the initial appeal that drew me in.

  • Love the new innovative products the team is releasing allows for healthy eating with fun new recipes.

  • I always keep Banza in my pantry! I love the higher protein and fiber compared to wheat pasta, and it’s way easier to cook and eat than other non-wheat pastas. I particularly love the cavatappi. I use it for quick dinners or pasta salads. I wouldn’t use it for a true pasta craving but it’s my go-to for easy meals. Just wish it came in mote pasta shapes!

  • I have tried a number of the Banza products, but the one that I keep coming back to is the pasta. I love the healthier alternative to standard pasta, and the taste is wonderful.

  • As someone who is trying to eat clean, maximize protein intake and still have delicious meals, I always have Banza in the house. I’ve struggled with Hashimotos Thyroiditis for years. It has made me sensitive to additives and to gluten. I’m a pasta and bread loving person. I really missed being able to eat my favorite foods, until I tried Banza. They create products that are actually tasty and a great substitute for pasta, pizza, and more, while increasing your protein intake and eating plant based food. Would highly recommend

  • This review is of the pasta, only. It's not good. I eat lots of substitute foods, and it is not something I would ever buy again. I couldn't stomach it, my kids even less so! I really wanted to like it, too. =(

  • Banza pastas are good. It’s really nice to get so much protein in a gluten feee option. The pizza crust was a little soggy but overall a nice option.

  • As a mom of a young child, trying to find new and interesting ways to get my kid to consume protein can be difficult. Banza is delicious and a hit with my whole family.

  • To be totally honest, everything from the pasta to the pizza I've tried and while I so badly want to enjoy Banza, I simply can't. This sh** is so dry, I am not a fan. Even when I drenched the pasta in sauce, the texture was still off. I will give this 2/5 because it WAS filling. High in protein. Other than that, this brand takes an L from me.

  • Couldn't be more obsessed with Banza. The pasta is healthy and delicious, and their customer service is top notch.

  • I enjoyed Banza Pizza. It reminded me of my childhood frozen pizzas but guilt-free. The crust came out perfectly crunchy and it was great to share one as a light snack with a friend but at $7 each in NYC and the fact that I'm not strictly gluten-free makes this frozen pizza a real treat. I'll keep an eye out for a sale but I wouldn't add it to my every day grocery list. If you are a gluten-free person then I recommend you check it out, I think you'd love it.

  • Less carbs, more protein. That's what I like to hear in a product. As a health nut and someone who regularly goes to the gym, I want to make sure what I'm eating will support my recovery and this does just that. My partner and I don't do well with gluten so this is an absolute win for us!! Very tasty stuff as well!

  • I have used banza pasta. Not a huge fan of the chickpea flavor in the pasta. Needed extra sauce to hide the taste. The pizza is quite good.

  • The Banza pasta is a great alternative to standard noodles, though it won't perfectly satisfy that desire for "true" pasta. We love it in rotation for our kiddos as a break from flour.

  • I typically grab their pasta, I like the added protein benefit & I don't taste a huge difference (my boyfriend who is a pasta snob can, but what does he know). It does leave a slight film on the pasta pot after boiling, which I think comes with the territory of using chickpeas in anything!

  • Banza is great! I hope they expand their range. I experienced minimal glucose spike

  • I could eat their pasta all day everyday. Seriously so bussin. Wish I had some rn

  • Best tasting pasta alternative I have had with enough protein for my needs. The mac & cheese is my favorite and if I could have 4 boxes in one sitting I would :)

  • Love this pasta. Cooks quickly and is delicious. Great texture for any pasta dish. I've used it in bakes, as a pasta salad and with sauces. Delicious in everything. Definitely the go-to pasta in my house.

  • I love Banza! I have tried multiple kinds of pasta, their pizza crust, and macaroni and cheese. I love being able to have some of my favorite foods, but not feel as guilty knowing it is primarily from chickpeas. I always recommend Banza to people I know if they are looking for a healthier alternative!
