Banza earns strong reviews as a high‑protein, gluten‑free swap that often tastes and chews close to traditional pasta and even delivers standout frozen pizzas, while many note it can overcook quickly, turn mushy or sticky, and some cuts feel fragile. Reviews of Banza praise the satisfying, protein‑dense pasta, kid‑friendly appeal, and tasty mac & cheese (notably White Cheddar), but flag inconsistent texture across shapes, occasional bitter/chickpea aftertaste, and spaghetti/linguine that clump or stay too firm.

I love this brand! It makes amazing products that are high in protein and taste so similar to regular pasta I can’t even tell the difference. Although it is a bit pricey I think it is worth it, especially for gluten intolerant folks.
I wanted to love this stuff, but I can't quite get over the texture. I was hoping it would just be a hop and a skip away from whole wheat pasta, but the texture is a little thicker and more gluey in my opinion. In a baked pasta dish it might be less noticeable, but I did not love it boiled and topped with sauce.
For gluten free pasta, I didn't think it was bad; of course the texture is going to be a bit off, but I'm impressed how close it is.

A solid, tasty, high-fiber pasta. I’ve enjoyed most all instances I’ve had this pasta, given its versatility and texture overall flavor profile. The price point, however, makes it a bit less than competitive on the market, Recommend for those with the disposable income; maybe stick to Barilla if you have liabilities.
Love the health profile but generally don't like the taste. Also find it's a lot 'mushier' than regular pasta/harder to get al dente.
Banza is one of the best gluten free pasta alternatives. It’s so easy to make and has a really authentic pasta-like texture, which isn’t the case for all gluten free products. I like swapping this into my favorite recipes for some extra protein.

I love this pasta - even though it is made with chickpeas, it has a great consistency that is very similar to traditional pasta but without all the carbs. I also love that it is high in protein, versatile and reasonably priced.
Great gluten free option, but I don't love the flavor and the pasta stuck together after cooking.
Our favorite pasta brand! I have 3 boys and a husband, and we all love banza. I love that it's higher in protein and also taste delicious - a win/win.
I like that the pasta is higher in protein and fiber than traditional pasta however even when I follow the cooking instructions to a “T”, Banza pasta always comes out too al dente for my taste.
Their rice/orzo is a great texture and taste. Can’t speak to other products but this one is a winner.
TO BE FAIR: I don't like chickpeas. But I was hoping that a good sauce could mask the taste and that these would be a great option for regular pasta, as I was looking to cut down on my carbs. However, the taste of the chickpea was just too present. If you like chickpeas, then I'm sure any of this stuff would be good. You'd probably enjoy the pasta, as the texture was fine.
I absolutely love these chickpea pastas. They're substantial enough to hold on to sauce, but they don't give me the bloating and other awful side effects that gluten-containing pastas give me. The taste is quite neutral, and I don't find the noodles clashing with any sauce I serve with them. Love this product.
I have celiac and have tried just about every GF pasta option there is. Banza tastes fine, but the texture is off. It's grainy if you cook it less and mushy if you cook it too much. There are much better options out there.

We bought a bulk box of the spirals from Costco. We purchased them because our 14 month old doesn't eat a ton of solids, so we wanted something with protein and fiber and he liked the sample. For being made of chick peas, these tasted really good and were super filling!`
Nothing special but still delicious
As a person with a primarily wfh job, I’m always looking for quick, higher protein lunch options and Banza pasta has been great for that! It tastes very similar to normal pasta (as long as you don’t cook it too long). Love that they have pasta shapes like caviar appl. Downside is that it can be a little spendy if not on sale. Also, did not care much for the frozen pizza line.

Hands down the best alternative to traditional wheat pasta. The Cavatappi is my favorite noodle and I forget that I’m eating a chickpea based pasta, honestly. Something about this shape is the best, and I’ve tried them all. The high fiber content gets you full so much quicker than a traditional pasta that you end up eating less. Absolutely recommend.
I think this brand does a great job of making pasta from chickpeas that tastes like pasta! While it's a little on the expensive side for pasta, it works great for me as a vegetarian as it increases my overall protein intake.
I just can't get past the distinct chickpea flavor. While Banza does a good job masking it compared to other legume-based pastas, it's still there, adding a nutty earthiness that can clash with traditional pasta sauces.
