Bala earns strong reviews for sleek, durable workout accessories that make low‑impact routines and daily walks more effective and more fun, but the brand divides opinion on comfort and performance at higher intensities. Reviews praise the Bangles, Bars, and Power Ring for aesthetic design, easy travel/storage, and motivating versatility, while citing limited weight ranges, velcro-related discomfort/fit issues, and occasional sliding or chafing—especially on ankles—as notable drawbacks.

Love how sleek these are. Very easy to take on and off, and they don't hurt your ankles at all.
I really enjoyed using Bala and one of the main reasons I purchased their products was because I was not keen on keeping clunky gym equipment in my room. Bala is not only functional but modern and stylish. I hardly notice it stored in my room as it doesn't stick out. The weight range is good for me and the weights are easy to hold on to. I also have the Power Ring, one of my favorite products from Bala since it's multifunctional and comfortable to hold. I'm looking forward to purchasing the Bala Beam next.
These are so easy to pop on before a walk or a workout. They look cute aesthetically but work well too!
Innovative design- packs well for travel and comes in pretty colors.

Slightly bigger zip bag so you don't have to stuff it in so much.

so cute :)
I love their wrist/ankle weights. They are sleek, simple and work well with any workouts that require light weights. I am really thrilled with my purchase and love giving them as gifts too!
I love my bala bands! Have honestly seen a huge impact on my arms (and my confidence!)

They are a bit expensive!

Beautiful AND functional. I have almost their entire product line (other than the bands and mat). Incredibly well made and I love the color selection. HIGHLY recommend.
Love these bala bands! I wear them while walking, at barre class, and Pilates! An easy way to add additional weights to your exercise routine.
I love my balas! I've had them for about two years now and love walking around in them - either on my wrists or around my ankles. The only downside is that they can get a little uncomfortable around the ankles and rub on longer walks. I wish I wore them around my house more!

I purchased my first pair during the pandemic and they wouldn’t stay on my ankle. The Velcro was very weak so they were kind enough to send me a second pair. The owner was very sweet and said they were re-branding with a thicker Velcro however, I still had to buy a very thick industrial brand Velcro and take it to a shoemaker and have him use a special machine to attach it Now they never come off. I know a lot of people like to use these weights just for their arms however, I prefer this weight for my legs it’s a perfect weight!

I love the weight! It’s perfect
Bought the 2 lb Bala Bangles and they're a pretty great edition to my workout. Good for beginners. Pretty design.
TInx made me buy it! I love my Bala wrist weights! Perfect to bring to the gym with me to get a pilates style work out it. Also love bringing them on walks for my wrists or ankles. I have the 2lb ones and they're great for traveling too!
Love wearing these bands on my ankles during walks! I have the bands in the teal color. Super easy to put on and take off. Just simple, which is perfect for adding something to your workout.

Breath through your plateaus with microloading. I love to wear light blue bangles on my wrists and ankles with a variety of exercises to add just a bit more load when I don't feel like adding 5-10 lbs at a time. That doesn't cut it when you're plateauing.

software materials would be nice. If the weights are so low, try using comfier soft options.
I love the colors Bala Bangles come in - they are definitely a super cute accessory for working out or even just taking a walk.

Even the 1 lb weights are a little heavy on the wrists. They can be uncomfortable to wear. I'm not sure if it's just me, maybe my wrists are on the smaller side... but nonetheless, I was hoping they would be a little more comfy!
I got these as a gift thinking believing the hype around them from social media and I wish I could say I think they're worth the price point, but personally, for me, I haven't found the use for them to warrant the purchase. I love aesthetically everything about this company from their marketing and social media to the sheer color array they have. Unfortunately, I just have not found a way to incorporate these into my health/fitness regime in a sustainable way, I also feel silly wearing them when going on walks outside or on the treadmill and wonder if they're actually making a big enough difference to warrant bringing them with me. I think for people who are avid at-home workout people and want an extra pound or two to make their workouts more effective then these can be great, but for me, I just haven't found an application for them in my life.
I've loved adding the Bala Bangles to my workout routine. They make working out just a little more fun. The downside is definitely the cost.
I bought these after seeing MelissaWoodHealth use them. In full transparency you can get a much cheaper ankle weight on Amazon but because of how aesthetic and functional these are I think they are worth the money. I find myself using these more than my other weights because of their size and style.

Not sure how I feel about the velcro.
