Away earns strong reviews for durable, lightweight polycarbonate and aluminum luggage that glides smoothly, packs efficiently with compression panels and a laundry bag, and is backed by responsive, often generous warranty service; however, reviews also flag easy exterior scuffing/dents, occasional zipper/handle/wheel issues, divisive or cumbersome battery compartments, and ubiquity that causes bag mix-ups. Overall, Away is good and works well for frequent travel, but buyers should expect cosmetic wear and consider darker colors or covers.

Good customer service. Nice options for color, sizes and accessories.

The product itself is great, I just hate the hard sided luggage has to lay totally open in a hotel room. It takes up so much space. But the product is great, it's held up well, and I love the color options!

Pro tip - the larger carry on is the exact perfect bag for traveling all over japan, fits on train overheads and domestic flights and tucks away neatly everywhere. I know a lot of competitors have popped onto the field since Away launched but mine have been dragged across cobblestones and up stairs and it just keeps going. its a little scuffed but the wheels haven't had any issues and still glide exactly as well as they did when i first bought it. In fact we've been so happy with it we bought another one for a recent trip and my sister saw mine when we were traveling together a few years back and immediately got rid of her old one (which she'd carefully chosen) and replaced it with her own away bag. The structure of it works well with cubes or without and it fits a TON of stuff, I've absolutely overstuffed it several times and its never seemed to be affected poorly by it. I looked at the competitors before buying my new bag and didn't see any reason to switch aside from some marketing buzz. The recent update to the suitcases is very small but they made some nice quality of life improvements that I definitely appreciate.
Good luggages but at a large price point. Every additional feature is another substantial price increase which I was not a fan of. I bought a 26 inch check in size as a gift and the recipient loved it. The color choices are beautiful. Personally, opted for BEIS luggages for myself and found them to be a better bang for your buck!

I swear by Away luggage. I have the full-size and carry-on luggage, and their backpack and love them. I love how well their products work with one another and how well thought out they are. I have used the portable charger it comes with on every trip. Highly reccomend!
I’ve had my suitcase for 4 years now and it’s held up great. A few scratches from having to check it but otherwise like new. It also really helped me get more efficient with packaging.
The expandable carry-on is a must for any kind of trip. It's truly magical for over-packers; I took it on a month long trip and was constantly amazed at how much clothing can fit.

My brother got me the carry on for Christmas and I am OBSESSED. It is so spacious, sturdy, and good quality. I can’t wait to buy the bigger carry-on!
These are the only suitcases I use, I love the quality, and the customer service is great. I believe they are a relatively affordable price in the world of suitcases!

High quality roller bag, but a little pricey for what you get. It is no frills and basic, but quality.
I had the bigger carry that was 3+ years old. The zipper broke and they replaced it with a new one in store no questions asked. For that it was worth the price
Pricey and I don't find the look n feel of the suitcases to be anything special (quite cheap looking if you ask me), but their main selling point is their lifetime warranty, which I have used and they sent a new suitcase which was awesome.
I bought my luggage about five years or so ago and it is still thriving after being with me on so many international trips! This luggage rolls so smoothly everywhere and holds so much stuff! We usually travel during a time where we need to pack multiple thick winter wear and I’ve managed to pack enough outfits for about 10 days worth in the winter! You just jam pack that baby and then it all gets compressed nicely. It has been tossed and thrown around after being checked in and though it has gotten dirty, there’s no major damage to it. Well worth the investment, since it’s not cheap! The only part that I don’t care for is the battery it comes with. You do have to take it out as a carry on or checked bag, and I feel like there’s bigger portable batteries I’d rather use, but eh!
Durable and stylish products. I own their roller bags and backpack. Love the products!

My first Away suitcase was gifted to me by friends for my birthday and at first I didn't think it could possibly be worth the money but I travel a lot and this bag holds up! I can fit so much in it and the compressor helps a ton to keep everything in place. Since then, I've purchased 2 other bags as gifts to pass it on and they are also very happy. The lock feature gives a sense of privacy even if the bag is stored in the airplane overhead. I also had an issue with my bag after about 5 years and Away sent me a new one with no issue.
Love my away bag. Great quality and sleek looking. Maybe a little pricey but I think worth it
I've owned the Medium Suitcase in Coastal Blue for a few years now. Personally, I like the clamshell design but I know that it's not for everyone. I find that it helps me pack reasonably (ie not pack over airline weight requirements) and works well with packing cubes. I like the plastic hardshell because of the protection it gives when traveling in rain or wet conditions. It can also be cleaned or wiped easily if muddy/dirty. However, I will say that it was heavily scuffed and dented the very first time I flew with it. A magic eraser will get most scuffs out, but for me, the exterior wear-and-tear was expected and doesn't bother me and it has not affected the use of the suitcase at all. Away has a fairly generous warranty too so I'm not worried about it. Because this suitcase is popular, I do worry about luggage mixups in the airport despite having a ribbon tag on it. Away recently released more colors so the coastal blue isn't as common as it once was.
I’ve had my away bag for years and it’s still in great condition. I somehow pack so much into the carry on. I have the monogram tag which makes it easier to distinguish since everybody has them these days.

The Away carryon size is amazing! It feels so high quality. The wheels move with ease, the compartments hold more than any other luggage that size, and the exterior is super durable. My son borrowed it for a trip and loved it so much we ordered him a set. It is more pricy than some of the “designer” brands I usually get from Marshall’s or TJ Max, but so worth it!

Fast shipping and well packaged. I love my Away Everything bag. It holds a lot of items, it feels sturdy and will hopefully last many years. I love how easy it slips in and out of my trolley and the dimensions are perfect as a personal item on a flight! Highly recommend!
