Arc’teryx earns strong reviews for durable, high-performance outerwear that keeps wearers warm and dry in rain, snow, and alpine conditions, with standouts like the Atom LT/Hoody and Beta shells proving reliable and lightweight. Reviews also flag meaningful drawbacks—fit skews slim and long, occasional quality lapses (delamination, leaking down, faulty zippers/boots), inconsistent waterproofing in extreme cold, and customer service and warranty experiences ranging from exemplary repairs to refusals—making the brand excellent for technical performance but uneven in consistency and support.

The only thing I can complain about this brand is the price. Though you are getting high quality for it. Also as far as a brand with a mission goes - I enjoy the events they host to bring the outdoors to a greater audience.
The quality for the rain jackets is amazing but the price is extremely high. I wouldn't buy again but I'm glad I have it.

Hit or miss on quality
I have several windbreakers from them. They're very very high quality. Great to wear for a long time, nice aesthetic and cut that is unlikely to change year over year. I've also washed and used it and they continue to last a long time. I've had one product be damaged and their return and exchange policy was fantastic. Huge fan

got a soft-shell jacket from amazon, was very happy with the quality and the fit. Easy and simple it does the job and looks good.

very happy with the product.
High quality products. Worth the money.
I wear a weather proof shell and shell ski pants while backcountry and downhill skiing and both are just amazing. I wear my shell all year round in rain, snow and even just hiking for wind protection. They fold down small and are super comfortable. They just started doing something called "ReGear" where you can get old (and sometimes only 1 season old) styles that others have traded in for sometimes 75% off. I've order 2 things from this and have been over the moon at how well the stuff has been cleaned.

While they do keep the wet out the outside of the shell and pants definitely get wet and soak very quickly. You're still dry on the inside but feel weird sopping wet on the outside. That being said I still love my products and just ordered another mid-layer for ski touring and backpacking. *A warning if you are a short person* I can't speak to their updated sizing from this season so maybe it is better but anything 2016/17-2021 will be too big for you even in the smallest size. I am 5'2" and 110lbs and was SWIMMING in the xs pants. My friend who is 5'9" wears those and they fit her perfectly. I wear pants that I got off of ReGear from 2015 that are back to their old sizing, and a size 0 (00 could work if I wasn't tucking layers in). Even my size XS shell jacket from 2019 is a tad long...
I got a puffer coat from here for Christmas a few years ago, and this did not insulate me well. I lived in Minnesota at the time and this coat didn't stand the harsh winter weather, which was kind of disappointing. If you live somewhere that the climate doesn't get too cold, I think this coat is fine and great if you want something portable. If you live somewhere VERY cold, you're better off getting a thicker coat somewhere else. The ability to stuff my coat down small was really cool and helpful in college.
I once had a zipper that busted on a Beta SL and took it to one of their stores, and 15 minutes later the employee replaced my zipper with a vintage one which looked sick.

Great brand ethos!
Absolutely worth the premium price. The puffer jacket I bought 12 years ago has shown no signs of stopping.

I have a couple of Arc'teryx jackets and the quality is very high. In my experience, it's better than Patagonia and other similar ones.

Excellent quality, quite pricy but definitely worth the money. I feel like its one of the best brands out there.
such high quality and built to last products

price point is high, but understandable!
The Atom LT is one of my most worn hoodies/jackets. Great for active winter sports - it gets super warm but also has the vent panels on the sides. Keep that in mind for later when you're sitting around because it's less warm if you're not moving. Great quality and I'm super happy with it.

I bought the aerios shoes, they are nice shoes so I wanted to clean them. I brushed them with tech wash and rinsed with warm water. As they dried a rusty color came through from the fabric below. So I tried oxy clean, still had the rusty color coming through. I don't see any instructions from Arc'teryx on how to wash their shoes so I figured my methods were reasonable. I'm disappointed!

I don't know how to explain it but all of the apparel I've tried from Arc'teryx, make my body temperature feel... stable? For example, with other brand's leggings, I can feel the cold air through the material, but with their leggings temperature changes feel less harsh(?)

I have been an Arc’teryx fan for over 25 years. The quality and control of their products was unreal. The reliability of their products, was second to none. I have had only one issue with, one garment years ago and their customer service was exactly what you would expect out of a high dollar clothing company. Arc’teryx was a perfect blend of passion, awesome products and customer service. Since they have be bought by a big investor group, imperfections can easily be found on any garment, their color schemes have been lost, they make products for the masses, they have lost their customer service and have the perfect setup for Vail’s, Aspen’s, Tahoe’s, etc etc millionaires and billionaires. Fashion is function, LOL!! I will be moving on the another small passionate sports company. I said good day Arc’teryx.

Before they became a hot fashion brand, Arc'teryx earned their reputation for making some of the most well built, comfortable, functional, and reliable mountain-wear in the industry. I hope they follow the path that Patagonia laid as it peaked in mainstream popularity are remained true to it's core principals rather than The North Face which spent a good decade and a half making low quality products for soccer moms and urban commuters before turning back towards their roots.
