  • Cleaner-label ingredient list
  • Satisfying dark chocolate flavor
  • Lower-sugar sweet treat
  • Vegan-friendly product options
  • Occasionally dry peanut butter filling
  • Chalky, dusty peanut texture
  • Bitterness for sweeter palates
  • Palm oil ingredient concern

Unreal Snacks wins praise in reviews for tasting like upgraded versions of Reese’s, M&M’s, and Mounds—especially the dark chocolate peanut butter cups, coconut bars, and crispy quinoa gems—while using cleaner ingredients and less sugar. However, critiques surface around dryness in some nut-butter cups, occasional chalky or dusty textures, strong dark-chocolate bitterness for sweet-tooth palates, use of palm oil, and inconsistent flavor in gems; several reviewers also note that it doesn’t always replicate classic candies and can disappoint those expecting exact dupes.

  • The “chocolate gems” are a good dupe for m&ms! Satisfied the chocolate craving without the artificial coloring.

  • Not bad. A good healthy substitute for some of your favorite chocolate candy

  • A brand that tastes good, feels luxurious, and isn’t full of bad ingredients!

  • I've tried the dark chocolate peanut butter cups, coconut bar, and peanut gems. They're good but nothing special in my opinion. Not worth the price point. I much prefer the Justin's chocolate peanut butter cups. This is the first brand I've seen come out with vegan m&m's which is cool but I just don't like them, the colors vary in taste so I think whatever they use to dye them gives an odd taste. The coconut bars are my favorite from this brand, I've been wishing for a vegan almond joy type candy for a long time. I don't think these ones are especially good, but they're the only I've found so far. Note: I'm allergic to dairy so I've only tried the dark chocolate products. Not sure how the milk chocolate candy is.

  • Tasty, but the texture leaves a little to be desired. A bit too chalky to really indulge.

  • I looooove the dark chocolate covered coconut bars! Grabbed them on a whim at Costco and was surprised by how satisfying eating just one was. I tend to feel sick after most common chocolate candies but this did not make me feel the ick. It satisfies the chocolate craving without disrupting my balance.

  • They're delicious, the packaging is cute, they're a little pricey but it seems like it's for good reason, I'm a fan of every one I've tried

  • I am someone who really loves a sweet treat now and then but find regular candy too sugary for my liking. Unreal is PERFECT because it satisfies my dark chocolate a treat cravings without leaving me feeling sick from sweetness. The coconut bars are my all time fave (sort of like Almond Joy without the almonds), but there peanut butter cups and dark chocolate covered peanuts are also fantastic. A lot of there products are also vegan and gluten free, which is great for people trying to avoid allergens or animal producrs.

  • Great taste even with low sugar content. Great flavor!

  • For being a low sugar snack their chocolates had a lot of flavor to them! Compared to other chocolates they aren’t as sweet, which intend to prefer, but they still have that good chocolatey flavor. Overall I would recommend to anyone who still wants chocolates but is looking to reduce their sugar intake!

  • The dark chocolate coconut bars are a staple in my lunch box. A perfect sweet treat! I find mainstream coconut chocolate bars a little too sweet for my palate, so these bars work great for me. I also appreciate that they are individually wrapped for easy on-the-go snacking.

Peanut butter cups and essentially M&Ms that are vegan and really good. I was super impressed.

  • The Unreal peanut butter cups and chocolate coconut candy have changed my fricken life. They taste SO good, and it makes having a treat feel wayyy less guilty.

  • Move over M&M's, there's a new player in town! Unreal's dark chocolate gems are a game-changer. Their roasted flavor, thick coating, and bitter-sweet dark chocolate make for a seriously delicious snack. Plus, they're made with clean ingredients, so you can snack guilt-free. Yes, it's pricey (~2x the price of M&M's), but trust me, the quality and taste are worth it. I recommend picking these up next time they are on sale.

  • I love chocolate, but it's so easy to get lost with eating a bunch of little fun size candy bars and not realize how many calories and grams of sugar you are consuning. Unreal takes this worry away by making just as tasty chocolate without any of the associated guilt with eating it.

The fruity gummy candy could use some improvement in texture.

  • This is the best sugar-free/low-sugar version of traditional chocolate candy. I wish they had convenience size packaging (like the evolved two-pack) for on-the-go consumption. The PB cups are my personal favorite and also like the nougat.

    Feedback

My one piece of feedback is that maybe there could be more chocolate intensity with the dark chocolate version? I think the taste is great but I feel like a bit more richness could offer a distinct taste. I also think the same feedback applies to the peanut butter flavor.

  • The crispy quinoa dark chocolate gems had an okay flavor, but when considering the nutritional content and overall flavor I would choose another candy.

  • Great taste and alternative for candies and snacks, but not the same as normal treats for sure! A bit of an aftertaste and overpriced.

  • I am such a big fan of chocolate and peanut butter mixed together. However, this product did have somewhat of a fake aftertaste to it, which I didn’t enjoy. But it is a healthy alternative to a loved snack
