Typology earns mixed reviews: the brand delivers gentle, lightweight formulas—several users praise the tinted serum, concealer, moisturizers, and lip oil for natural coverage and hydration—yet effectiveness varies and sensitive skin reactions occur. Reviewers cite recurring weaknesses including inconsistent foundation shades, limited shade range, pungent or rancid scents, product pilling, flimsy or impractical packaging and droppers, and poor customer service and returns, making performance uneven despite appealing clean ingredients and chic aesthetics.
I am using this Retinol oil but with Castor Oil and it feels really nice and makes my skin glow but haven't noticed too much of a difference in reducing fine lines and wrinkles. I only use it at night but was hoping for more of a difference given the price!
I tried Typology after being ~influenced~ via an American living in French. I bought the lip oil, skin tint and skin highlighter. This lip oil was the product I liked most. It's fine and hydrating, but I feel like it absorbs pretty quickly. I keep it at my desk and use while working, but it's not a must-have at all times kind of product for me,
I’ve been using the Radiance Serum 11% Vitamin C + Silk Tree Extract for a few weeks, and my experience has been fairly average.
The texture is lightweight and absorbs quickly into the skin, which makes it easy to include in a daily routine. It doesn’t feel sticky and layers well under moisturizer and sunscreen.
In terms of results, I noticed a slight improvement in skin brightness, but nothing very dramatic. My complexion looks a bit more even, but the changes are subtle. The serum did not cause irritation, which is a plus, especially for a vitamin C product.
The packaging is simple and practical, and the dropper works well.
Overall, it’s a decent serum that does its job, but the results may take time and might not be very noticeable for everyone.
I have been so pleasantly surprised by this brand. I started with the lip oils and was immediately a fan. The color is very low key (which I personally like), the texture is lovely, and the product feels moisturizing. I also really enjoy the exfoliating lip treatment as a first product when prepping for a fully opaque lipstick. It’s lightly exfoliating and leaves lips looking fresh. I’ve been most surprised by how much I like the tinted serum. It feels great in application and sits as a more matte but still skin-like color correction. Great for everyday wear. I much prefer this to the typical skin tint which is usually aggressively illuminizing (and not the finish I want for daytime).

In their own words
Typology was born from a mission: to demystify skincare with simple, straight-talking transparency. We make naturally active, effective and sustainable skincare in France.
Our philosophy is not to add anything to our products to make them stand out; instead we pare them back and distil each formula down to the most-essential, natural active ingredients.
