Tony's Chocolonely

4.6
94% of reviewers would recommend to a friend
Tony’s Chocolonely earns strong reviews for rich, creamy chocolate, inventive flavors like Milk Caramel Sea Salt, Dark Almond Sea Salt, and Dark Milk Pretzel Toffee, plus mission-driven, fair-trade sourcing. Reviews also flag drawbacks: some bars taste overly sweet or bland to dark‑chocolate loyalists, the thick, uneven pieces are hard to break and share, and concerns appear about heavy metals in certain dark varieties and salt intensity in caramel bars.

I love this chocolate! The range of flavors and mix ins is a lot of fun. I don't love the odd shapes within the bar as they are hard to break off, but it doesn't stop me!
Got some from my local 7 and they’re phenomenal. Love the slavery-free guarantee and they have a decent number of vegan offerings. The off-kilter chonky shapes are fun as well.
I’m not a huge chocolate fiend, but when I do enjoy it, I like good quality and this fits the bill. It’s chunky, tastes great and the best part - it’s exploitation free!

The name and bright packaging is what drew me to Tony's at first and then I keyed in on their messaging of 100% slave free chocolate. It was my first time learning about the fact that there is slavery involved in the chocolate industry so kudos to Tony's. Now I sort of work in the industry and know too much about the problems with chocolate. I also know that it's likely impossible for Tony's to make 100% slave free chocolate.

I am not a fan of how difficult it is to break off pieces of the bar and I understand their marketing gimmick about it representing the "rough road" of the chocolate supply chain. Just not a fan of that aspect but their bright colors and retro font definitely grabbed me.
This chocolate is amazing! It's so much better than the regular brands I bought in the past. The quality seems so much better and healthier. I highly recommend!
Love this chocolate! The packaging is very fun and every flavour is delicious. Love that it’s a thicker bar than you typically get, and the price is very good. Four stars only because I don’t actually know anything about how the brand sources it’s ingredients, or how sustainable the company is.
Love this chocolate! The sea salt caramel one (the orange wrapper) is the best!

Sometimes its hard to break the pieces off since its in a non traditional pattern
Ridiculously good value for a ton of ridiculously good chocolate. My only complaint would be that I always eat more than I planned.
This chocolate is just OK. You can't really tell if its luxury / high-end or not, the branding is confusing whether its supposed to be artisanal or mass market. Some of the dark flavors are pretty good, but the other ones like milk chocolate and hazelnut are not for me. It also comes out of the packaging quite crumbly which is not ideal for not making a mess.

I like that it comes in multiple sizes and a variety of flavors, but some can be done better than others.

Seen this in Target for awhile and ended up buying their multi pack for my boyfriend. The chocolate is very good, not that generic chemically tasting stuff.
Tony’s is THE BEST CHOCOLATE. The bars are huge and the flavors are innovative. The sea salt caramel bar is a “do not miss”!
The collaboration flavor with Ben and Jerry's is to die for.
Delicious and high quality chocolate. Very cute and easy to unwrap packaging. I love the fair trade message.

More mini chocolate bars!!
Where do I begin. I bring this chocolate everywhere - a bar for long flights, for movies, for a hang out at a friends house. I can’t recommend a specific flavor because they’re all so good. (The mini Easter eggs are a nice gift too!)

Adore any interaction I’ve had with the customer service and I’m happy to see this brand in a store. And of course I love what they stand for and the work they do to actively stand against slavery in the cacao industry across the world

My favorite of all the higher end specialty chocolate out there! Love their mission and the size and shape of the bars. And they obviously taste amazing.
By far my favorite chocolate brand. When the Whole Foods in my area stopped selling the Milk Hazelnut Cookie bar, they were probably doing me a favor... this brand is delicious. Beyond delicious.

Ethical and decadent. Literally amazing.
Easily the best chocolate bar that I have had in years. Blows Teuscher my previous favorite out of the water. Also weird but I dig the heft of the bar. It feels substantial.

more flavors, lets get caramel.
Y U M! Love these chocolates & the brand's mission. The big bars are perfect for sharing, though I just end up tossing a half-eaten one in the fridge & enjoying it another day. The tinies are *the* perfect midday work snack. My favorite big bar would have to be the pretzel toffee one and my fave tiny is the caramel one!

The chocolate tastes fantastic. Every flavor I've tried has been great, and I especially love the caramel flavor. The small bars make a great gift!
I got them because of the amazing branding that reminds me of chocolates from Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. The flavor is great but not mind blowing to me, as there are so many chocolate brands these days.

I do wish it was more easily available worldwide!
