  • Powerful percussive performance
  • Ergonomic triangular design
  • Long-lasting battery life
  • Sleek, travel-friendly mini
  • Noticeably loud operation
  • Occasionally weak battery longevity
  • Heavy, bulky devices
  • Overly intense lowest setting

Therabody earns strong reviews for delivering powerful, ergonomic recovery tools—Theragun and TheraFace notably ease soreness, speed post-workout recovery, and relieve jaw tension—yet the brand draws criticism for loud operation, overly intense lowest settings, bulky/heavy designs, and inconsistent battery longevity. Reviews also flag doubts about certain LED benefits and app utility, plus occasional durability issues and poor support, making Therabody highly effective but not universally comfortable or fuss-free.

  • Bought the Theragun mini for my partner's birthday. Super happy with it, it's intense but the right amount. Has held up really well (still looks and feels brand new after a lot of use). The mini is great for taking on holiday or on the go. No complaints, very happy.

  • Great product. High hope quality and very long lasting battery. First responder discount was much appreciated. Compact for travel and VERY powerful device Absolutely will not replace a chiropractor, physiotherapist or massage therapist, but is a great tool to help with workout recovery during post workout recovery.

  • Great product. It’s like a at home on the go personal message! Has many different speed and I’ve had it for a while and still good as new.

  • Theragun feels to intense for me. That said, I got mine when they first came out. I much prefer hyperice.

  • Therabody does not support their product once you purchased it. They do not sale /supply spare batteries ( supposedly « out of stock ») so do not waste your money, your gun will not be usable once your battery dies. I contacted them by email and they don’t provide much details why they are out of stock and for how long (August 2023).

  • As an active person, I don't know what I would do without my Therabody, which always helps me with a speedy recovery post a strenuous workout.

  • I bought this as a gift to myself for working through the pandemic as a pregnant nurse - since I couldn't go and get massages! It's powerful, lightweight and gets the job done. It has a sleek design that's easy to hold, it's not too heavy either.

This was one of the quieter models on the market, however I still found it to be pretty noticeably loud. For example, if you brought this to the office, someone close by would definitely hear it.

  • My husband and I use our theragun at least 3x a week. We bring it with us everywhere!

  • I have the theragun prime. It is 1000% worth the purchase. The attachments are so useful for getting in every little spot. My boyfriend especially loves it because using it is less tiring than giving me a massage. Get one! You won't regret it!!!

    More colors!!

  • I bought it for my husband and his muscle aches and pains. He says it helps but it sometimes hurts and is super noisy. It is not soothing. Not sure I would purchase again.

  • So I bought the Therabody Thereaface Pro. It is a great tool and is specifically recommended for your face. There are a lot of attachments that come with the product, and they leave your skin looking and feeling healthier.

The only feedback that I might recommend is the stand that comes with the Theraface Pro, in my opinion, it should have a charger attachment added to it. It's nice that you can place it on the stand when you're done with it, but it doesn't charge the device, so you are having to charge it first, and then put it on the stand.

  • Works great after a long walk/ workout, feels better than generic massage guns, replaceable/ modular pieces which is perfect. Love the theraface as well.

A little big in terms of size.

  • The best for recovery after races, especially between two days of racing!

    Feedback

It’s quite big so could do with a smaller version for travelling.

  • Pretty good to use, not sure about the price point.

  • I got the pro. It’s expensive ,but I love it. The battery lasts me about a week (use it every other night for 20-30 minutes).

    Feedback

It says it’s quiet ,but I think it should be way quieter. I would also put a warning somewhere more prominent that you should use it on your neck.

  • Absolutely love my theragun! Just wish I would use it more often. The machine is super effective and really helps release tension. My partner and I take turns using it ourselves and on each other!

    Somewhat loud

  • It is a bit loud but works extremely well. Highly recommend for anyone working long shifts at a hospital

  • The only reason this gets a 4 vs. a 5 is that, while fun, I don't know whether this product is actually necessary or meaningfully better than the incumbent "dumb" products... I've been using it after workouts in place of a foam roller or tennis ball and I feel a *tad* more limber/relaxed afterward, but not to the point where I'd travel with this thing (my typical bar for *can't live without*). I have the medium-size one and do appreciate the variety of speeds and attachments depending on where you want to use it on your body. It's also... pricey.
