Therabody earns strong reviews for delivering powerful, ergonomic recovery tools—Theragun and TheraFace notably ease soreness, speed post-workout recovery, and relieve jaw tension—yet the brand draws criticism for loud operation, overly intense lowest settings, bulky/heavy designs, and inconsistent battery longevity. Reviews also flag doubts about certain LED benefits and app utility, plus occasional durability issues and poor support, making Therabody highly effective but not universally comfortable or fuss-free.

The TheraFace is what is prompting this review in particular - it is life changing. I have always liked Theraguns, but the TheraFace is a total game-changer. It's not only incredibly innovative, but really works. From the relaxation and relief I feel with the machine's percussive therapy attachments, to the the overnight results I get with its LED light therapy heads, I am a lifetime fan.

I feel like marketing could have described the beauty use cases more deeply.

pretty nice - was a skeptic at first because got spammed with ads for it but feels really nice and seems to be backed by some level of science, you can build it into your routine and get used to it
Feedback
a bit heavy
just buy this, it's worth it! Feels so good and is worth the price as it is still working perfectly and I've had it about a year! I looked at some cheaper options online but I am so glad I didn't buy any of those. Also, unless you're a serious athlete the most premium option isn't necessary. I got mine for my boyfriend and he's obsessed - the best gift!
I bought this for my bf over the holidays since he always has me massage him and I figured this could help give me a break. He absolutely loves it and I’m using it now as well! Great to help a sore muscle and overall relaxation, too.

It’s a little heavy so I can’t hold it too long in some awkward positions.

i love my theragun! it’s a great substitute from going to a massage therapist. it’s such a well design item and fits very well in my hands in different situations. i really want to try their new face tool!

My experience with this brand is using their theragun and it was a great massager! It really helps loosen out any knots you might have and the different heads included also helps gives a different massage experience depending on my need.
Feedback
The price is bit steep for a massage gun and since this brand popularized the product, many other similar products have also entered the market with a more affordable price point.
This has no competition. Bought this less than a year after trying a different brand. Nothing compares; it is built well and is strong to really help with any muscle aches you may have.

Quite expensive

I balked at the price, but it ended up being worth it! We got the travel-sized one at first to try to keep the cost down, but eventually caved and got the classic big one, which works much better on big, deep muscles like the low back.
Feedback
Price is a little too high, and the app is useless
I only have had experience with the Therabody massage device during PT, but it definitely helps to loosen up my tight back muscles. The main thing I adore about this brand is the Theraface that I recently purchased. I LOVE the look of the product, how quality it feels, and the many attachment options. I've been mostly using the microcurrent option (it's replaced my Nuface) and am slowly getting into using the LED rings, and the cold rings. It's so great for travel and helps you bring multiple skincare tools in a compact travel kit. The price is steep, but I think it's definitely worth it for anyone to be able to stick to a skincare regimen while on the go!

More attachment options, more affordable pricing.

So much relief from this.

Another cheaper version
I workout every day and my muscles are sore from time to time so having a massage gun has helped so much. I recently got one for my birthday and I use it pretty much almost every day and I love it.
Feedback
There isn’t much I would say needs improvement, I think it’s greasy. But if there really needs something, maybe the price.
Amazing product overall. Very expensive.

The button that allows the hand to move in the Therabody pro can get stuck sometimes and is hard to move.
Works well and got the product really quickly. Price can be quite expensive

The Theragun Prime+ is a total game-changer! 🔥 The power and precision of this massage gun make muscle recovery so much easier. It’s strong but not overly aggressive, and the adjustable speeds let me target sore areas exactly how I need. The battery life is great, and the ergonomic design makes it easy to use for extended sessions. Whether it’s after a tough workout or just to relieve daily tension, this thing delivers. Worth every penny!

I love my Theragun Relief! It’s lightweight, quiet, and super easy to use. Perfect for sore muscles after a long day or workouts. The pressure is just right—strong but not too intense. It’s also USB-C rechargeable, which is super convenient. I only wish it had extra attachments, but honestly, the one it comes with works great. If you need fast, daily muscle relief, this is totally worth it!

. Bought 6 minis and they all dies w/in a few months. This letter to Customer Non-Support tells you all you need to know -Hello Mary – Geez, I thought I was done with you guys until I received these 4 emails with mind-numbing, detailed specific instructions on how I need to use 2 boxes instead of 1 to return my 5 worthless minis because your antediluvian accounting system confuses serial number efficiency with something you dilettantes have no clue about – customer service. So, Mary, I’m a gonna tell you something. I’m NOT going to use 2 boxes. Why? I’m 71 dying of severe Lymphedema. I can barely walk. I’ve gotten one (1) box with great effort that holds all these devices. Mary, if you ever want to bet your life’s savings on one sure thing – it’s that you will receive all these devices in one box, not 2. And, I’m gonna include a Sixth mini that, like it’s brethren, also shit the bed. Am I going to go through the process of pulling off the head and getting my neighbor to read the font 1 serial number because I can’t, and resending you my name, address, dong size, PO #, date of purchase, etc??? Mary, that’s another sure bet. Please write this down – you will receive one (1) box from me. It will contain 6 minis that all are DOA. Now, you can send me back 2 minis, 3 minis, 5 minis – at this point I frankly don’t care WTF you do with them. HERE IS A TIP THAT WILL HELP THERABOOODY IMMEASURABLY – instead of spending $ maintaining a byzantine accounting system - fire the grossly overpaid moron head of Customer Non-Support, and use the $ to fix your worthless batteries. You see, Mary, if your fucking batteries actually worked there would be no need to subject your customers to this fucking Bataan Death March. One last thing - Your boss, Jason Wersland, is a low-life coward. Every box I get contains a bullshit “handwritten” letter from your “leader” which includes his email, as in – “write me to share your experiences.” The email address, like your entire company, is a fraud. Does not work. I found 2 other email addresses and they don’t work either. Gee Jason, hiding from disgruntled customers reaching out? Didn’t expect that, did ya? You see, schmuck, it’s one thing to invent a cool little vibrator. It’s another to obtain funding, hire employees, engineer and make products, sell them, have happy customers and be profitable. You know how to do 1, the rest you have no fucking clue. In the end Jason, you’re nothing more than an empty suit fraudulent punk. Here’s a tip. Stop embarrassing yourself, stop sending the letters. Instead take 1,000 of them fold em and shove em up your corporate Theraboody. Just think, I’ve spent multiple thousands on over 20 products. If this is how you treat me, how much crap do you dump on normal customers? Best of Health, Marc Gedansky

Using the Theragun daily after cycling has been great for my recovery process. It speeds up recovery, eases muscle soreness, and has even improved my sleep quality. It's become an indispensable part of my routine. The customer support could be rude though. I was asking about my delivery and the rep made it seem like I was bugging them.
