I ordered the Carrot Cake kit from The Caker and was excited to try it out. However, when the package arrived, the caramel pouch had unfortunately been damaged and leaked. I reached out to the company and they almost immediately replaced the kit. Luckily, the cake and frosting components had not been compromised so I was able to make that while waiting for the second kit. Both the cake and the frosting were tasty. The cake was moist and flavorful, and the frosting was creamy and delicious (although there was something slightly off about it when tasted on its own). I am excited to try the whole kit soon, and I think the caramel will be a really nice touch. However, I do have a few complaints about the kit. First, it is tremendously expensive. The kit costs $25, and that is before you add in the cost of any additional ingredients that you may need. Second, the kit requires you to source some of your own ingredients. This can be a bit of a hassle, especially if you don't have all of the ingredients on hand. Overall, I think the Carrot Cake kit from The Caker is a decent product. The cake and frosting are both tasty, and the kit is easy to use. However, the price is a bit high, and the fact that you have to source some of your own ingredients is a bit of a drawback.

I tried the Spiced Carrot cake and made it when friends came over. The box is beautiful and will make a lovely gift. The instructions were clear and I enjoyed the simplicity of making a box cake! My friends thought the icing was too much (one too sweet, one too tangy). I LOVED the tang of the icing but didn't think the caramel was 100% necessary. Overall, love! But pricey for a cake.

So fun! The packaging is beautiful, the cakes taste home-made, and the recipes are easy. Loved this product!

This cake is amazing! High quality ingredients that make the cake feel made from scratch. A busy mom’s dream in a pinch 😄

Jordan has got an awesome thing going! This cake was delicious and I’m excited to buy her book and try those cakes out too. All the ingredients were fresh tasting, very simple instructions and meant to enjoy. I loved the simplicity of the website and love the passion and thought brought to boxed cake!

I think this is such a fun idea and would be great for the not-so-experienced baker that still wants to make something from almost scratch! This isn't something I would necessarily buy for myself as it still requires a large amount of fresh ingredients (which I don't always have) but provides flour, sugar, spices, parchment, which I always have handy. Not really having flexibility with the size of the cake tin is rough, too, because I didn't have the size required! I think it would make a fun gift for the right person but isn't for me!

While I loved the packaging and idea, the cake itself was shockingly sweet—and I LOVE sweets! I didn't even need to add the cream cheese frosting or caramel to enjoy the cake. I just wish everything was less sweet!

Really delicious cake that was loved by everyone at the event I baked it for! I wish it had come with the dried flowers like the image on the box (not to mention it didn't include carrots, which I guess makes sense but I wasn't expecting a carrot cake to not include).

I bought the FBJ collab kit, and had so much fun making + decorating the cake! The Caker elevates the experience of making typical cake mixes, and makes for a great gift or activity with friends.

So, I haven't actually baked The Caker's cake yet, but let's talk about the first impressions. The packaging is pretty, like, it screams elegance and makes you feel fancy just looking at it. The ingredients seem high quality, which is a big plus. But here's the thing: when I saw the price tag and checked what's in the box, I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. It's a bit on the pricey side. Might make for a good hosting gift?

I’m not a baker, and I’m certainly not a caker, but the Spiced Carrot Cake Kit by the Caker lets me pretend I am! This was hands down the best carrot cake I have ever had in my life. Mind you I haven’t had many carrot cakes… but still! It was surprisingly easy to make, and the end result was amazing. I was weary of the price tag at first but after tasting this cake, no question it was worth the cost in my book. This one is highly recommended from me!

I have been wanting to try The Caker for a while now and I was able to snag this during a thingdrop. I got the spiced carrot cake and making it was super easy and the instructions were easy to follow. The cake itself is super moist and sticky and so so good! I will definitely be repurchasing and trying her other cakes in the future!

The presentation/packaging is gorgeous and recipe easy to follow. You do obviously have to purchase the perishable ingredients, there were just a few more ingredients than I expected (at least compared to a “typical” cake mix). Highly recommend these mixes for a gift, might be a bit expensive for my typical boxed cake needs

I loved this carrot cake! It was squishy soft in the best way and I couldn’t help but eat way too much, way too quickly. The cake was beautiful with the salted caramel drizzle and so easy to whip up. The only thing I didn’t love was the non-recyclable packaging. We know too much about waste to still be making products that can’t be recycled!

The cake was delicious - the price is just really steep for a boxed cake, especially when you need to add other ingredients.

I tried the spiced pear cake from Martie and it was absolutely delicious. Probably the best cake I’ve ever made (even from scratch). It was very easy to follow. I made it for my mom’s birthday and she liked it so much that I plan to gift her more for Christmas.

I made this cake for some friends and everyone absolutely loved it. I like how the company uses cleaner, organic ingredients. The cake was delicious and moist. Can’t wait to try other flavors!

I really enjoyed this kit as an avid home baker! I was able to make a cake for a family members birthday with little notice that was delicious and impressive! I’ll definitely be checking out other Caker products. This kit would be great for everyone from a beginning baker to someone more familiar with the hobby. Make sure you have the pans though!

This was super fun to make with my friend! It took the stress out of baking from scratch, while still tasting good. I love the small business feel of the product I discovered through the emails they sent. Perfect for gifts!!
