Reviews mention

  • Exceptional insulation performance
  • Leakproof, reliable sealing
  • Sleek, cup‑holder‑friendly silhouettes
  • Distinctive, fashion‑forward designs
  • Narrow mouth complicates cleaning
  • Exterior coating chips or scratches
  • Prone to dents when dropped
  • Occasional metallic taste or odor

S’well earns strong reviews for performance and style: bottles and drinkware reliably keep beverages icy-cold or piping hot for hours, don’t leak, fit cup holders and backpacks, and come in distinctive colors, marbles, and collaborations. Reviews also flag drawbacks—narrow mouths and caps that are difficult to clean, easy denting and exterior chipping/scratching, occasional metallic taste or odor, and dated designs versus newer competitors—making it excellent for temperature retention but less compelling for durability and ergonomics.

  • Swell has been a leader in the reusable water bottle category over the past decade for good reason!

  • These cups work really well and keep my drinks super hot/cold. Plus the designs are super cute!

  • I have had a couple water bottles from S’well and they were okay. They got dented pretty easily and the chrome finish type scratched. Kept water cold, but I’ve had other brands work better.

  • I think swell has a great concept that could just be altered to allow for more space at the opening of the lid and different ways to close the bottle.

  • Love my swell cup for bringing iced coffee from home into the office with me

  • Greatest products! I have had their water bottles for years and I won’t use anything else

  • Stylish and fun however the color does come off and they’re just so expensive. Need more innovation on their water bottles before trying their other products

  • My swell bottle is so old and still looks great! Ya know how sometimes the art work peels or flakes off? Not with Swell! Highly recommend!

  • Great looking. Impossible to clean. Every swell bottle I've had I've given away.

  • It is generally worth the price. It keeps my water cold. I ended up also getting the alternative top that you can push open to drink instead of untwist the top. This top unfortunately leaks at times and can sometimes break. I’m not a fan of twisting off the top, so it’s choosing the bedt of two “evils”. Overall great product!

  • Would recommend to everybody! I have had my S'well water bottle since 2017 and I STILL use it to this day. I've also dropped it 100 times and it's still standing and working perfectly.

  • Love my S'well coffee thermos with one small exception: the mouthpiece on the lid keeps you from drinking the last bit of your coffee every time. I'm not sure if it has to do with the shape or the placement of the opening, but I usually end up taking off the lid in desperation to get the last swig of my coffee. Keeps drinks hot and cold for a long time. I would say that the price point is also very reasonable compared to some of the other insulated tumbler brands on the market.

  • I have had my swell water bottle for over five years now. It is my go to for hot yoga classes and keeps my water cool. Perfect everyday bottle.

  • My go-to water bottle. Got it almost 5 years ago and still kicking!

  • My S’well is my emotional support bottle. I love it so much that I have one for home, one for work, and one extra waiting in the wings (that i bought immediately when I thought I lost my bottle). The regular 17 oz bottle is great, fits in most cup holders, and keeps cold things cold, and hot things hot. I love it! I’ve also gifted it to my friends, and family, both the 17oz, and the travel “thermos” style. I recently got the new lids (with the handle), and I am obsessed. I have arthritis, so they give me additional leverage to more easily open the lid. I also love being able to carry my bottle with the handle! Cons: The bottles are a bit heavy (because of the insulation, they are metal); And they can be hard to clean, especially the lids.

  • Swell is one of the really high-quality reuse brands out there. No matter which product, it never fails to amaze me. I'm also a fan of their colors, patterns and branding in general.
