Summer Fridays earns strong reviews for delivering hydrating, glow-giving staples—especially the viral Lip Butter Balm and Jet Lag Mask—which many say keep lips plush for hours and revive dry, travel-worn skin. Reviews also flag meaningful drawbacks: several users report irritation or breakouts (including reactions to Jet Lag and eye formulas), divisive scents and stickiness in some lip shades, very sheer base products, and packaging gripes, making the brand feel overhyped or not worth it for some.

Honestly not sure that it does anything seeing as though stretch marks are genetic but it gave me peace of mind and kept my skin well hydrated through my first and second pregnancies. It goes on a little oilier than I'd like but overall has a nice feel.

I am obsessed with Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm! This is hands down one of the best lip products I’ve ever used. It’s incredibly hydrating and instantly soothes dry, chapped lips without feeling heavy or sticky. The texture is smooth, buttery, and luxurious—it glides on effortlessly and leaves a glossy finish that looks beautiful on its own or over lip liner. I’ve tried multiple shades and love them all, especially Vanilla Beige and Pink Sugar—they add just the right tint of color while still feeling like a treatment. Plus, the scent is dreamy (soft and sweet, never overpowering), and the packaging is sleek and travel-friendly. This is one of those products I carry everywhere. It’s become a daily staple and a repeat buy for me. If you’re looking for a lip balm that feels like skincare but looks like makeup, this is it. 10/10 recommend!

I actually really liked this product during the summer, but I do think that to call it a "deep hydration" serum is a little misleading. It's a really great lightweight gel moisturizer for sensitive skin! It's really refreshing and didn't cause any breakouts. You can run through it pretty quickly though! It's made me curious to try other products from the brand such as the jet lag mask but they are a little pricey for what they are.

I kept seeing this brand all over social media and was wondering if it was overhyped. I finally got around to trying their Lip Butter Balm, and it was incredible! My favorite is the Brown Sugar. I've also tried Vanilla and Sweet Mint - both are amazing. Love the glossy smooth texture, and it is super super hydrating. Great for everyday use, especially during colder months, and I've also used it while traveling and it kept my lips moisturized for 10+ hours. I'll definitely be buying again (also great to give as gifts). One thing I will say, is that the colors tend to be on the sheer side, which I don't mind at all. If I want a stronger color for my lips, I would just use a lipstick as a base underneath.

This 5 star rating is a little biased because it’s only for the Lip Butter Balm!! But it’s seriously 5 star worthy. I was a little hesitant to purchase at first because it’s expensive for a lip product ($25) but it’s hydrating, thick, and lasts quite a while without being sticky. I have the shade Vanilla Beige and use this quite regularly but still have quite a bit left. I will definitely repurchase and am excited to try other things from this brand :)

Absolutely love their lip balm. Vanilla used to be my favorite until they came out with tinted lip balm. Pink sugar is by far my favorite now! Highly recommend. I recently just got the new sweet mint and I’m obsessed. It is in the top 3!

I find the lip balm hydrating and glossy and I enjoy how my lips feel soft though it does feel thin and sometimes greasy it is still one I reach for when I want something a little special. I try a lot of lip glosses, but always come back to summer fridays

I have been using summer fridays since their first launch (the Jet Lag Mask) and have become a huge fan. The ingredients are fantastic and never break me out. The Lip Butter balms have become an everyday staple of mine, and I've gotten them in nearly every color. I think I have repurchased the Overtime mask 3 times! Love every product from them.

So many hits from Summer Fridays! Obviously the lip balm is amazing and there are so many beautiful colors. I’m also a fan of the jet lag mask and hydrating serum. I have sensitive skin and none of their products have ever broken me out!

The Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask and Pink Sugar Lip Balm are a hydration dream team. The mask gives instant plumpness—cooling, creamy, and comforting like silk on tired skin. The lip balm melts in with a sweet, buttery glide that feels plush without being sticky. Both products deliver intense hydration with a luxurious texture you’ll want to reach for every day. I used the mask as a moisturizer for about a week on my balanced skin because it was struggling with dryness and it saved me! The lip balm is DELICIOUS, super hydrating, easy to glide on! No negatives. I had the full size versions and ate them up! I now only have the birthday gift lip balm from Sephora.

I use it before makeup—it feels super refreshing and hydrating. Great for all skin types, especially dry or dehydrated skin. Lightweight texture absorbs quickly without any stickiness. Leaves my skin plump, smooth, and glowing all day.

Jet Lag mask is a holy grail for me. I use it nightly as an under eye moisturizer and it has really helped my discoloration and puffiness under my eyes. It is effective yet doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin.

I have been hearing about this brand for awhile and decided to the give the lip butter balm a try. It’s a great product to keep in your bag / take on the go. I don’t think there is anything special about it compared to others especially for the high price point.

This is kind of an indulgent brand but I get the hype. I especially love the jet lag eye cream, it leaves your under eye so hydrated you can still feel it in the morning. And it’s the perfect makeup prep. I also love the cherry lip balm.

I genuinely love how lightweight the jet lag mask feels on my skin. It did help in hydrating my face, and didn't break me out, which I consider a plus. The packaging is cute and sleek, and I appreciate that in a tube format, I can easily cut it open to finish up the mask instead of having it go to waste.

Best butter balms I’ve ever used and I’ve tried so many brands. They are vegan too!! I got all 6 flavors. Vanilla Beige, Vanilla, Cherry, Brown Sugar, Pink Sugar, and Poppy. My favorite one has to be Vanilla :)

I love the lip balm so much keeps your lips moisturized and good for skin types. I need all the colors. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a lip balm that actually works

The company seems to be well loved in the community and has cute packaging, but I wasn't a fan of the ingredients or effect. It had a lot of natural ingredients which is typically good but can also be a bad thing.. .... I broke out from the mask several times due to the horse Chestnut it included in the ingredients of the mask. Unfortunately due to that I have put off purchasing more products from Sunday Riley. Wanted to like them so badly, but it didn't workout.

I didn’t expect to like this as much as I do. The texture is rich but sinks in really well, and it instantly makes my skin feel calmer and more hydrated. It works as an overnight mask, a quick fix during the day, or even as a base under makeup when my skin needs help. It doesn’t clog my pores or cause breakouts, which is usually a concern for me with heavier creams. It just leaves my skin looking soft, refreshed, and a lot more awake than I actually feel. If your skin ever feels dull or irritated, this is the kind of product that brings it back without a lot of effort. Definitely something I reach for often.

PRODUCTS & OVERVIEW: Lip Butter Balm (Vanilla Beige) + Jet Lag Mask & Moisturizer OVERVIEW: I’m so torn with this brand! I was curious about the hype for the butter balm but it fell so flat. The lip balm was not moisturizing and actually had a drying effect on my lips. My lips peeled and needed more balm throughout the day so it was viscous cycle of reapplying a drying agent to dry lips. BUT. The jet lag mask is one of my all time favorite moisturizers. It’s thick but not heavy! It makes my skin feel so plump, smooth, and calm. I would apply it at night after all my products and would wake up with soft supple hydrated skin. I keep it in my “spa bag” when I need to moisturize after a sauna/cold plunge session. WORTH THE PRICE? I think certain products are well worth the money BUT the lip butter balm is not. It’s worth exploring products but also, don’t overspend if you don’t have the funds. It’s fun to try things but not worth it if you aren’t okay with losing that money. AGING STUDY: I have bought the jet lag mask twice now and need to buy another tube. I will continue to purchase time and time again BRAND MISSION: In a world of over-stimulating, over-complicated and over-active beauty routines, Summer Fridays creates effective skincare and hybrid makeup that work without overworking the skin. They are focused on mindful product materials, conscious ingredients, and reducing waste (summerfridays.com). I love that they have a recycling program where you can send back 5+ empty products and you’ll receive a $25 e-gift card! I absolutely love that!!
