Bought a bag of Swedish fish style candy. Wasn’t that impressed with the taste and texture. The carbs were definitely better than regular Swedish fish but don’t find it to be a good substitute for the real deal.

I tried their sour gummies as an alternative to the regular sour patches. I was disappointed, and literally couldn't stop making a sour lemon face. The swedish fish ones are better but that's about it.

I would not recommend unless you are buying the swedish fish one :/ I wouldn't completely knock the whole brand out though, there is always trial and error with companies, so mabe the formula will get better.

I am a long-time consumer and fan of SmartSweets. Since they came out, there have been a number of low-sugar competitors enter the low-sugar candy market but SmartSweets have nailed the taste and texture of childhood favourites the best.

I tried their peach rings and immediately regretted my decision to purchase these. They tasted awful and the texture was horrible- they were hard and tough and not at all what I wanted.

Okay, let's be clear: these are not the same as say Sour Patch Kids or Sour Patch Kids Watermelon. But they're not bad either!

While it is only 4 g of sugar, there are a lot of other wild sounding/looking ingredients. Just don't know if you're really doing yourself any good by replacing the real stuff with the lower sugar stuff with lots of other stuff. I'm a type 1 diabetic and these had a huge impact on my blood sugar still. That could be due to a variety of reasons but still.
Love the mission of this brand! For a low sugar candy these are quality! I have tried a variety of their products and they always deliver on flavor!

Some of the different candies can be REALLY chewy. Tough to chew through so I just suck on them to soften them. Additionally, the candies that are coated in powder (like the peach rings) are not my favorite. The powder adds a weird feeling to them that I don't care for, kind of like I'm eating baking soda coated candy, so I avoid them.

These are an amazing option of sweets for people who are looking for a low sugar option. If you are someone like me, who doesn't need to watch their sugar, just go for the full sugar candies. These taste good for what they are, but the texture and flavor is different.
