Seed earns polarized reviews: many report meaningful improvements in regularity, reduced bloating, and even clearer skin, while a sizable group sees no benefit—or experiences nausea, bloating, or stomach pain, especially when taken on an empty stomach. Reviews also praise Seed’s science-forward education, chic reusable glass jars, and compostable refills, but flag issues like required subscriptions, breakable glass travel vials, and accusations of greenwashing or poor account management.

Love love love the branding, messaging & sustainable packaging but the product wasn’t really any effective. My husband and I, both used it for a month and saw no change in our gut health. While I have heard great reviews from others, I don’t think it’s a product that works for all. The packaging is so beautiful, I still have my seed jars and I use them to carry other medicines when I travel.
I wanted to try seed because it promised great health benefits, and I already had probiotics and vitamins incorporated into my routine but had read from many sources that most probiotics die off before they actually reach your gut. The packaging is great, I love that they include a travel case, it's useful for carrying around other vitamins/advil, etc. I appreciate that they are compostable and reusable elements, and that its stylish enough to have out on the counter or in the bathroom. I almost didn't want them to work as well as they did, because they are expensive. I stopped taking them when my first order ran out, and noticed the effects quickly. I definitely notice improved digestion, regularity, and less bloating while taking the dose everyday. They will be a continued part of my routine, despite the high cost. It's a "worth it" if you experience poor digestion, bloating, and irregularity on a frequent basis. Refills also come in compostable packaging, which is great.
Thank goodness Seed found its way into my life. I have terrible gut health and I can say that Seed has made an impact on my life. Love that they’re science-backed and educate you on how their product works. Packaging is sleek and love their option to refill 3-months at a time with sustainable packaging. It’s a win for me.
I tried their probiotics and liked their branding and information. Ultimately, the brand became too pricey and it was hard to tell the direct health benefit. Worth a try, but not a game changer for me.
This has been a game changer for me. After taking it consistently for a month or so I saw great benefits. I wasn't as bloated, my skin actually felt better and I could 'go' more consistently too. It's a little pricy but with the sustainable packaging I love what they're trying to do for the planet! I'm a life long subscriber.

You have to be consistent. I take mine at roughly the same time every morning. Works better on an empty stomach IMO.
The only probiotic I have been able to notice a difference in my skin and gut health with. The bottle is expensive, but I am happy paying 50$ a month for gut health. I recommend starting it with 1 tab x 3 days then increase to 2 tabs in the morning to have your GI tract get used to it.

Packaging is awesome, brand is great, website is knowledgeable.
This is the first probiotic I took where I could physically feel a difference. Definitely worth the $$$. I also lost my large container somehow, and customer service shipped me another one with my next order for free. So nice, and super fast response times!
Really great mission and high quality ingredients. I appreciate the sustainable pushing and education focus.

Personally I didn't notice a difference after taking for 30 days

First off, I have to say that I absolutely adore Seed's packaging. The matte green glass, matching box, and mushroom-based "styrofoam" packing are truly nice to hold and look at. I've saved a lot of their boxes in the past to repackage presents in too, lol. Their customer service has always been receptive, and their brand has a great little science-writing element on their website and socials. As for the probiotic itself, I'm undecided. I've tried their main probiotic (and more recently the "kids" powder formula that you add to drinks) on-and-off for the last three years. I wasn't ever really able to tolerate the two capsule serving size, and would get stomachaches unless I took a half serving (ie, one capsule only.) I did sometimes notice more regularity, but that was maybe all. In the hopes to stick with the brand (and taking probiotics in general,) I switched over to the kids powder formula to see if I'd get less stomachaches. The answer was... sort of? The powder has a kind of clumpy, milk-sugar taste that is familiar but I can't quite pin down. I still like to take it as an immune-system booster when I feel a cold coming on, but I haven't been able to tolerate it daily. Maybe this is just me, but between that and the high cost (between $30-$50 a month depending on the product,) it's not something I can really justify continuing. Maybe there is another brand or formulation out there for me that would work better, but I'm not sure. I will say their "Seed Magic" science classes and prize drops were insanely fun, and I still wear the shirt I got for deciphering a little puzzle they doled out over a few week period. Hats off to whoever designed those challenges! The brand is also doing some cool social impact/product disruption things in the future that I will definitely keep an eye on (like probiotics for bees, plastic-eating microbes, and a future line of microbiome-friendly personal care and home products!) TL,DR: beautiful packaging and uniform colorway, nice customer service and brand info. tough on my stomach personally, and very expensive to keep up with.

Might try again if the monthly cost ever went down, or if a sensitive-stomach line was introduced.

I've had the best poops of my life while using Seed. Need I say more? I love that the storage containers are glass, both a full size and travel, and the refills come in compostable mailers. The website does make it easy to cancel or delay shipments.

While it works incredibly well it is expensive and sometimes feels more like a luxury than a necessity.
I love how those probiotic did not make me feel sick at all. In fact, it made me feel so good I have zero bloating when taking this. Also, I realized it helped me so much with period cramps. Cleared up my skin and I felt so energetic as well.
I'm 3 days in to my initial kit that comes with 30 days worth of supplements... And I already notice a difference! I've tried other probiotics and nothing seemed to improve my gut health and function, but after 3 days of Seed... Definitely can see improvement! Please keep this available forever 😄

The packaging is great, minimal and to the point. The little guide that comes stickied to the larger glass container caused some of the color to transfer off my bottle when removed. Left behind some clear patches where you can see the paint/color is missing. That would be my only recommendation for improvement.
I am not sure how much a difference I have necessarily noticed, but this probiotic brand was the most informed one I have seen yet. Everything they promise is backed up by years of research, all which is available on the website.

The subscription makes it so easy to get this into your routine
I'm a big fan of Seed! They really have put in the work to get the science down and have noticed a difference in my digestion/overall health when taking them. I love that the packaging is sustainable and that they give you a little travel jar. They also have a really great and responsive customer support line. While I wish it wasn't as expensive as it is, it's worth it.

I'm pretty picky when it comes to probiotics but I'm really into Seed. Their super sexy packaging and branding made me a little skeptical but after a month with Seed in my supplement rotation, I felt my digestion and gut health were gently supported just the way I like. Love these lil guys!

This was my first foray into the world of probiotics and I wasn’t convinced that I would notice any sort of difference. Although it wasn’t instant, after about 3 weeks I noticed a change in my skin, it was much healthier and I was having much less stomach upset when eating. I’m sure the benefits become even more noticeable with consistent use but I find the product to be too pricy for consistent use unfortunately, especially with added shipping costs to Canada.

Seed is an incredible brand from top to bottom. Their messaging is both unique and precise, backed by more clinical data and scientific research than any probiotic brand out there. The packaging is sustainable and luxurious. But of course the showstopper is product itself, combining a probiotic and prebiotic. I take it every night before bed and have no plans of stopping.

A bit pricey, but I understand I am paying for quality.
Wow, next level probiotics. In 2017 I contracted a deadly amoeba in Cambodia that ruined my gut health. I’ve tried everything and many many types and brands of probiotics. Seed fixed me. I was at first worried about the monthly price point. But wow is this stuff amazing and the packaging, sustainable and amazingly high quality. If you’ve been seeking the best probiotics, you’ve found them.

I’m sure it’s not possible but if the price point could ever come down it would be a lifesaver for folks on a tight budget like myself.
This probiotic is a game changer! I have been taking it for a little over a year now and as someone with a lot of very complex gut issues, it did wonders for my gut health. I am a lot more regular and I find that my digestion is certainly better. I have tried so many different probiotics in the past and this is the only one where I saw a real difference. I love that it comes with a traveling case which is super convenient and that they do not need to be refrigerated because sometimes while traveling it’s hard to have access to that.
Seed has been the best addition to my daily pill intake. I have had the best results, and others have noticed how much of a change my body and energy did once I started seed.

The travel case has broken quite easily for a few people I know. I would like to have the case be more durable.
