Rocky’s Matcha wins strong reviews for vibrant, ceremonial-grade powders that whisk into smooth, creamy, clump‑free lattes and deliver noticeable energy, though opinions split on whether it’s truly the best. Reviewers praise the vivid green color, rich umami and sweetness in blends like Oishi Ceremonial and Tsujiki, but note occasional bitterness in Okumidori, an overhyped feel, a lemon‑cleaner air freshener scent, and frequent sellouts of Rocky’s Matcha tins.

I’m in shock. This might be my first time trying really good matcha powder myself so I actually appreciate having this. Would repurchase again and want to try another blend. Always obsessed with their branding.

I love love love the packaging and the aesthetic of this brand. However, I think that the quality of some of the matcha offerings are just fine (nothing too fantastic). This brand is also hard to catch during a restock.

This matcha is seriously delicious! Bright, smooth, and clearly high quality. You can tell by the color and taste that it’s the real deal. It’s definitely pricey for the amount you get, and it can be tricky to order—you really have to watch for that “Back In Stock” email. Mine was sold out 10 minutes after I got the alert! But honestly, the quality, vibe, and whole experience make it worth it. I’ll definitely be grabbing more when Im out :) yummy

Rocky's matcha is my go-to. The little canisters are perfect and the quality is unmatched by any other brand I have tried. I would recommend the Ceremonial Osada Blend, and the Houjicha if you are looking to try something new. The only downside is that some of the blends can get a little pricey.

Rocky’s is trendy as heck right now so as a longtime matcha snob and daily drinker I had to try it. At the time of purchase the Okumidori was the only in stock matcha option on their website. I thought it made a drinkable, vibrant green matcha latte. Not the best, not the worst. At $35 for only 20g I found it to be too expensive for the prominent notes it had. I found the flavors to be acerbic and bitter. Frankly a little funky and savory. I do prefer my matcha light, fresh and kinda grassy so it may just be personal preference. It was still good enough to enjoy and I will most certainly buy other cultivars in the future.

Got the Tsujiki Blend Matcha. Never tried this brand before purchasing this item, but the container and their product aesthetic looked cool, so my boyfriend really wanted to try it. It's a rich green color and doesn't taste too grassy. I'm not a matcha person (my bf is), but I thought it tasted pretty well and he was happy with the quality and taste of it. Steep price, but he says it's worth it.

Rocky's Matcha has completely reignited my love for matcha. All the blue tins are delicious, but the Oishi Ceremonial Blend is hands-down my favorite! It's incredibly smooth, exceptionally rich, and naturally sweet with that perfect umami depth. Making matcha has become a daily ritual I genuinely look forward to, especially with how beautifully the vibrant green powder whisks up and the satisfying microfoam on top! The bright blue tins are not only super aesthetic on my little matcha shelf, but I also love repurposing them for aromatherapy blends once they're empty. With demand so high, I’ve signed up for back-in-stock alerts for all the blue tins. I’ve also tried the silver tin - the Single Cultivar Koshun Matcha - which has a more grassy, earthy flavor that’s great when I’m in the mood for something a bit lighter. Every time I order a matcha drink at a café now, I find myself comparing it to the quality and flavor of Rocky's Matcha! Even with all the options in Los Angeles, nothing else has come close to measuring up to the exceptional quality of Rocky's Matcha tins. UPDATE: Seven empty Rocky's Matcha tins later...fully committed to this matcha ritual now!

Their matcha is super strong in flavor and you can 100% tell it's rly good quality from its color and its texture. I also rly love its packaging. It's overpriced though so idk if I would get it again but it was def worth trying.

It does feel a little overhyped given the price point but the taste is there and quality overall. The packaging is definitely eye-catching and would make a nice gift for someone who values trendy brands. They go out of stock online often so I would recommend buying if/when you see it available!
Just got this matcha in the mail (also ordered a whisk and holder from them). High quality matcha, tastes amazing and I love the packaging!
Everybody can’t make good matcha and yall aren’t one of them, it tastes soooo good, thank you guys for being a brand and creating something like this I really liked the flavor, I add a little vanilla into mine!
Rocky’s Matcha is the real deal—smooth, vibrant, and packed with flavor. The quality is top-notch, with no bitterness, just a clean, balanced taste that works perfectly for lattes or straight-up ceremonial-style drinking. You can tell they focus on sourcing because it’s some of the freshest matcha out there. The branding is also strong, making it feel modern and approachable. Definitely a go-to for anyone serious about matcha.
Good quality and tasted great in my latte
I absolutely love the bright, eye-catching packaging of Rocky's Matcha—it really stands out! However, while the matcha itself is decent, the taste isn't as rich and smooth as I hoped. It's still enjoyable, but I’ve tried other brands with a more authentic flavor. It’s a good option for a quick matcha fix, but not my favorite overall.

This is some of the best Matcha I have ever had. I only drink this if I want to be super wide awake though cause it has a lot of caffeine.
Top quality matcha. Delicious creamy flavor. Dissolves very well, and it does not create any clumps. It helps with energy and has delicious taste.
We all want vibrant matcha, no merky matcha here. Quality, quality, quality. Sometimes you pay for the quality of the product. It’s a reasonable price, especially if you go out and buy one cup for $6-8.
Not only is this amazing, it froths so well. Not all matcha is created the same, and this one really shows that. It stands out with the bold, earthiness of each sip. I love that the container is eco friendly too.

Rocky’s Matcha is hands down my favorite- and the one I always recommend to anyone new to matcha. Their packaging is so vibrant and fun, and they carry really unique accessories like bowls and whisks that make the whole experience feel special. The matcha itself is ceremonial grade, smooth, flavorful, and perfect for lattes. My only complaint? They sell out so fast! But honestly… I get the hype
The branding is amazing!! And in my favorite color to boot. RE: the matcha itself, it's a beautiful, bright color and tastes great in an almond milk latte. It's smooth and delightful. I also bought their hojicha powder, and it's earthy and fine. My only downer for the brand is the matcha latte air freshener I bought... hahah it smells like lemon cleaner. BUT love the matcha.
