  • Weak cleaning vibration
  • Fragile head connection
  • Hard-to-remove battery parts

quip earns mixed reviews: it looks refined and travels well, but its brushing performance trails true electric rivals. Reviews praise quip’s sleek, lightweight design, mirror-mounted travel cover, timed 30‑second pulses, and hassle-free refill heads (often with batteries). Many criticize weak vibrations that act more as a timer than a cleaner, bristles that feel too stiff or wear quickly, fragile heads and motors, hard-to-remove parts, and occasional mold or gunk buildup—some dentists urge switching to oscillating or higher-powered brushes.

  • Quip has a fun brush for everyone! I got Three of the kid brushes in different colors for my toddlers, the two minute timer is fantastic for kids learning to brush their teeth for two minutes straight The colors are fun and can be defined for each kid, and their packaging was fantastic it even comes with a travel friendly container. They also have a subscription service for $5 a month where you can get a new brush head and battery in the mail just in time to switch out when your toothbrush is ready for an upgrade.

  • Such a great functional toothbrush. Small but all mighty. It’s the perfect toothbrush to bring for trips. Comes with a beautiful case that also serves as a holder. It has great power and the brushes are soft yet firm. I highly recommend these.

  • The quip is amazing — the price point on their subscription service means I don’t have to worry about remembering to pick up another toothbrush at the pharmacy. The color options are also great — I have the gold and my husband has the black. The weight on the toothbrush makes it feel expensive.

I think I would eventually like to see even more colors (neon would be rad!)

  • I have been using them for years. I love not having to ever think about my toothbrush batteries or replacement ever again. One less thing to worry about! And the toothbrush is so durable and sleek 👍

  • I have the basic quip brush & floss. Not sure if the ‘electric’ brush cleans my teeth any better? I often use it as a regular brush and the bristles could be softer. I have slightly sensitive gums and the even with the slightest extra pressure my gums start to bleed when I use the brush. I really like the idea of their floss but again it’s not the easiest or most convenient to use especially while flossing the back teeth. I don’t think I would buy either again or recommend them. I do love the product packaging and clean branding.

  • I've ben using the quip toothbrush for 2 years now. I purchased the aluminum in pink. The toothbrush itself I would rate 4 stars because I've encountered some issues like the toothbrush would not power on even after changing batteries. I'm rating quip 5 stars because their customer service have been very helpful and they were able to resolve the issues quickly. I travel often too and I find the holder is very helpful and can be mounted on mirror/glass surface easily.

  • I used a quip toothbrush for about a year until I told my dentist about it. It is not dentist recommended and is not worth the price. Since switching over to the one my dentist recommended, I've noticed my teeth feel cleaner and the vibration is waaaay more intense on your teeth - and for around the same price. I do use their refillable flosser and haven't had issues with it but would never go back to their toothbrush. I included an image of my last subscription refill before I got to cancel that I couldn't return.

  • One of the standout features of Quip is its sleek and modern design. The toothbrush handle comes in a range of colors and has a slim, lightweight, and ergonomic design that makes it easy to hold and maneuver while brushing. This design makes it a great travel companion, and the toothbrush's compact size means it won't take up too much space in your luggage. Another standout feature of Quip is its subscription service, which sends you a new brush head and toothpaste every three months, ensuring that you have everything you need to maintain good dental hygiene. The brush heads come with soft bristles, which are gentle on your teeth and gums, and are designed to last for three months before needing to be replaced. Quip also offers an optional subscription to their floss and gum packs. The floss pack includes pre-marked lengths of floss that make it easy to use the right amount of floss each time. The gum pack includes xylitol gum to help promote oral health between brushing. One thing to note is that the brush heads are specific to Quip toothbrushes, meaning that you cannot use other brand's brush heads with your Quip handle. Additionally, the battery life of the toothbrush may not be as long-lasting as some other electric toothbrushes on the market. Overall, Quip is a great dental care product for those looking for a sleek and modern toothbrush that comes with a convenient subscription service. Its soft bristles and easy-to-use floss and gum packs make it a great choice for those with sensitive teeth or gums. However, if you're looking for a toothbrush with a long battery life or the ability to use other brand's brush heads, Quip may not be the best choice for you.

  • I recently bought an electric toothbrush from Quip. One month in and so far so good. I like that it isn’t bulky like other electric toothbrushes and that you can swap out brush heads.

I’d like to see more color options.

  • I’ve only tried the flosser and was so excited for something that hold the floss but doesn’t produce a ton of plastic waste. Sadly the product just doesn’t work. The floss easily pulls out of the flosser clamps.

    Feedback

The flosser needs to be stronger to hold the floss.

  • I bought this toothbrush and it came with a charger, it's supposed to vibrate while brushing, I have completely charged it and everytime I'd go to brush my teeth it would shut off. Still using it, just doesn't work properly. It does have a gum and tongue cleaner, that was a plus.

  • I love my quip toothbrush. It fits my hand easily and the vibration timer is great to make sure I am fully brushing for 2 mins. It comes in many colors and it's easy to refill the brush head.

  • this toothbrush is amazing! the electric toothbrushes always hurt my teeth but this one didnt at all!

  • I really love the packaging and ease of replacements. It's super easy to to travel and replace the brush head! Over better than a regular toothbrush but as someone with bad gums I prefer my sonicare toothbrush 🪥.

    Feedback

I'd be all in if there was a sonic toothbrush.

  • I’ve been using quip brushes for several years now. They are great quality, nice color options, and I always get a clean bill of health at my dental check ups. I’ve given them as gifts to family members and they are converted to fans now too. The subscription refill plan is a good way to save money over getting your refill brush heads at Target for $10 a pop.

    Feedback

It could be a little easier to manage your subscription preferences on the website. It’s happened a couple times where I need to skip or adjust an order but by the time they notify me that an order is going to process soon, it’s in fact already processing, and I end up having to reach out to customer service to assist me rather than managing the order preferences myself.

  • the toothbrush is nice but the vibration is very weak even after a few months of light use ( weekend travel toothbrush)

Change the way you can charge the toothbrush

  • I do like my toothbrush. It works well and my teeth seem to be more clean than when I used to use a traditional toothbrush. I travel quite a bit and really find it useful that the toothbrush uses a battery and I don’t have to always remember a charger. I also like the sleek design from both an aesthetic pov and from a space saving pov.

    Feedback

It seems like the fitting between the head of the toothbrush and the base isn’t totally waterproof. I find when I change the head a really need to clean this connection as it gets pretty gross. I also find it highly annoying that I can’t simply order another head, I have to sign up for the subscription service. I wish there was a way they could have the heads in stores so I could simply pick one (or a few) up as needed, but I understand this would negate their whole direct to consumer process.

  • I really liked my quip! I had the subscription to send new head/batteries. I wound definitely recommend the metal version over the plastic. It was better quality and had a weightier feel to it which I liked. I also liked that they had soft bristle options.
