Cool concept but my customized curl cream fell flat. It made my hair feel weighed down and sticky.

I was a little skeptical that this would be worth the price, but the products last a lot longer than normal shampoo and conditioner that I use. I also don't need to use many of the other products that I used to use on my hair - oils, leave in conditioners, masks. It is easier to take care of my hair now. Great products, great customer service, and I love the scents too!

I like the concept, the hair quiz, and the packaging, plus their products smell good, but I haven't noticed a huge difference in my hair. Not worth the price for me.

I love this brand. My hair needs to be washed less and feels shiny and healthy. It is pricey but I also found that the product lasts me a while! I love the subscription and the option to change formulas and scents based on how my experience is going thus far.

Originally subscribed out of curiosity and I definitely stayed for the scents and the pre-shampoo scalp mask. I have fairly easygoing Asian hair (straight, not too dry) and my main issue is greasiness, so it's been nice to be able to focus on ingredients that help to reduce that. I also like that I can provide feedback and tweak the formula each time. And again - the scents are great!

My hair is pretty hardy, and by that, I mean I used to soak it in chlorine for 20+ hours a week for over a decade, and stylists still loved my hair. I love the scents and the dry shampoo is a little messy but a game changer for me. The leave in conditioner I don’t necessarily feel is amazing.

I only tried the first formula I received and it really dried out my hair. I wish I had known I could have asked for a free reformulation, because $70+ is pretty stiff for what's normally a ~$20 expense.

I have naturally straight, fine but thick hair and have been lucky to not need to invest in particularly expensive hair care for a lot of my life. When I tried to make the switch about 8 years ago to cleaner, more natural formulations, I found that nothing really made my scalp feel clean. I now do not feel my hair is really clean unless I’ve used Prose. Though it doesn’t lather like traditional shampoo, which is normal for a formula without sulfites, you can actually see how it pulls dead skin and whatever else off your scalp when you’re shampooing. One bottle for shampoo and conditioner lasts me for around a year, which is also pretty good value.

I was so excited to try Prose and thought the onboarding process was really modern and cool. I loved the idea of having a shampoo and conditioner that were specific for my hair and the climate I live in. Unfortunately, the customized shampoo was not good for my hair at all and made my hair greasy. However, when I emailed their customer service they were extremely responsive and refunded my money.

The customization part of things was interesting, especially given that it looked at my geographical location. I have dry scalp issues, and was looking for a line up to help with that.

Got the skin care samples and they worked great! Then the first full shipment came and they were totally different products that didn't work well. The lotion was greasy and the serum was sticky. Nothing like the products I had gotten as samples. Total bait and switch. Customer service said they couldn't just send me the same products as the sample formulas and sent me a form to fill out to instead adjust the products I had received. I couldn't have been more clear that these were not working, not as I received in samples, and I just wanted the original formulas they sent as samples. Nope, the new shipment still came exactly the same as the previous with the crappy products. Don't waste your money and get your hope up. They send you good products as samples and then poor quality products as your regular shipments.

Amazing. Really defined my curls, I thought they were just waves until I tried prose it made my hair shiny soft feels amazing!! I would recommend to anyone. Works wonders for me, gave me a new brand for my hair.

I’ve been using the curl cream for over a year now. Outstanding product for fine curly hair. I’ve never been able to use product as it would weigh my hair down and become greasy. The curl cream defines my curl, soft, defined and not heavy at all. Amazing

They layer the subscriptions they offer, and hide that you have two subscriptions. So if you cancel one subscription, you've still got the other subscription active. Of course, they also don't notify you before they charge you for the hidden subscription. And then they say they can't cancel the order/charge "because it's custom", but you can return it, which voids the logic of not being able to cancel the order in the first place. I HATE places like this. Is the product good? Yes - the haircare is. The skincare is not. But you get looped into their charging machine known as a subscription service. It's not worth it. The sneaky subscription practices are not worth the product. All they'd have to do is send an email a few days before they charged us, to notify us of the charge. But of course they don't. Then their entrapment machine wouldn't work. And at $130 a month per customer, that's a very profitable entrapment machine.

I love the shampoo and conditioner! I've noticed a difference in my hair, and my mom did too when she tried it. Great customer service! Highly recommend! Customers from California!

I’ve been consistently impressed with Prose’s customer service team they are some of the kindest and most helpful representatives I’ve ever interacted with! Every time I’ve reached out, whether it’s been about adjusting my formula, asking questions about my order, or seeking recommendations, they’ve responded with genuine care and attention. Overall, Prose’s customer service reflects the same personalized, high-quality approach that their products are known for. I truly appreciate how approachable, responsive, and kind their team is, and it’s a big reason I continue to trust and recommend the brand.

This brand is pretty new to me, but I am very open to try it and see the effect on me, It says it makes customizable haircare and skincare with sustainable and clean ingredients, which is very attracting.

The shampoo and conditioner set smells nice, but it dries out my scalp.

My review is not about the actual product or its effectiveness, but the, "bait and switch" that the company uses. My initial order consisted of shampoo, conditioner, scalp creme, and vitamins for about $98. The subscription order consisted of shampoo, conditioner, and scalp creme for $108, with a separate charge of $58 for the vitamins. That's an additional $68 for a subscription.

Though I did not get the results I wanted (postpartum mom, not sure if they make a difference) I will say the customer service was a breath of fresh air. Katherine was very kind and considerate and because of that I highly recommend at least trying out the product (worry-free). I will continue using what I have and who knows maybe I will see results.
