I do really like the concept of Prose but even with a specific pairing and unique ingredients for my hair type, I found other products worked better. I've only stuck with the custom curl cream (for curly/wavy hair) but did not continue my subscription with the others. The curl cream does in fact keep the waves and curls bouncing!

I got the customized haircare set . The shampoo, conditioner, and mask all smell amazing. The shampoo does a really thorough job cleansing without stripping my hair. The conditioner is decent — it gets the job done. But the hair mask is my clear favorite. It leaves my hair so soft and moisturized, and that softness actually lasts 3-4 days. I was gifted by Prose a custom hair care set consisting of a shampoo, conditioner, and curl cream and I don’t think I can ever go back to store-bought hair products again! You start off by taking a very detailed quiz about your hair type and hair goals and it creates a custom formula for you! With this formula you can choose almost any hair product you’d like as well as your preferred fragrance (if any) and they make custom products specifically for you! I have curly/wavy hair and the shampoo does a beautiful job of getting all the product out but not stripping my natural moisture and oil. The conditioner makes my hair tangle-free, soft and shiny. And the curl cream was the perfect combination of keeping my hair frizz-free but still giving it some structure. I honestly can’t recommend Prose enough!!

Product was gifted by prose. I’ve been wanting to try custom hair products for a while since I have various hair concerns and prose has been great so far! I have really oily hair (like oily on day 2) but the formula prose created for me has been helping my hair be less oily! My hair also doesn’t feel weighed down so that’s a huge plus. I love how you can pick what scents you like as well and the packaging is super cute!

It’s very hard to find products for my 4c hair that actually work. Prose has won my heart. From the very detailed survey that addressed my hair concerns to produce a custom product, to the fast shipping and nice packaging to the actual product itself. My hair has NEVER felt so soft and nourished. My hair and scalp love these products! I’m actually hopeful of seeing growth and maintaining it! Bye bye dryness! I absolutely love my hair products gifted by prose. After one wash my hair feels so silky and smooth as if I just left the salon. So in love with these products!!! The scents are amazing my hair already feels 1000 times better as someone who struggles with breakage and hair damage.

I wasn’t familiar with prose before so I was intrigued to try ! The website was super easy to navigate and gave me the perfect recommendation for my skin ! I received a cleanser , serum and moisturizer and my skin has been absolutely loving it ! The smell is very natural and herbal which I love the serum makes my skin look glowy and paired with the moisturizer my skin feels and looks amazing ! I kept seeing ads for Prose and looked into it but thought it was a bit pricy. I finally caved and subscribed and I am astounded at the results! And the customer service is bar none!! I had sent them an email saying I still had some dryness and frizz and they sent me suggestions like 'plopping' my hair. I didn't even know what plopping was, so I looked it up. It looked silly and like it wouldn't do anything, but I tired it as well as using the cold setting to diffuse (another suggestion). I was amazed, AMAZED, at the results! I had no idea my hair could be like this! I LOVE MY PROSE!!

I used Prose’s custom shampoo and conditioner for a few months and liked it but didn’t notice anything transformational. I wish they were more clear about how my personal details translated into my custom formulation, and I wish I could repurchase on my own cadence instead of their suggested cadence. I do like that they use clean nontoxic ingredients. And their dry shampoo is one of the best powder options I’ve found.
