I do really like the concept of Prose but even with a specific pairing and unique ingredients for my hair type, I found other products worked better. I've only stuck with the custom curl cream (for curly/wavy hair) but did not continue my subscription with the others. The curl cream does in fact keep the waves and curls bouncing!

The personalized approach is what made Prose stand out to me. I really liked how detailed the consultation was because they take the time to understand your hair concerns, preferences and what kind of results you're looking for. Knowing the products were made specifically for my hair made the experience feel much more special. I have been loving using my customized hair kit by Prose. I took the online survey which was not too long but still very detailed in describing what my hair was like and what I was looking for. I received a scalp mask, shampoo and conditioner. I have been loving using each one of these. It directly helped with my issues of having a greasy scalp and dry ends. I love that everything is customizable, even the scent. I chose a floral scent and it smells divine. The packaging is also gorgeous and I love that everything came personalized with my name. I received the customized shampoo, conditioner and scalp mask complimentary from Prose. I've been wanting to try this set for a while. You take an online quiz to be able to get the exact formula that your hair needs. The product is made just for you. The scalp mask goes directly onto your wet scalp and helps to keep your scalp clean, which is important part of washing day. The shampoo lathers up nicely since a lot of the dirt is washed away with the scalp mask. The conditioner hydrates without leaving my hair feeling heavy. My hair is left feeling soft, shiny and bouncy.

I absolutely loved the custom conditioner It left my hair smooth, soft, shiny, and smelling amazing. I had never used personalized hair products for my specific needs before, and I was honestly surprised by how noticeable the results were. I have very dry hair with lots of split ends and feel like I’ve tried every recommended shampoo and conditioner. I was really excited to test out this brand after hearing about the customization of each product, and it being tailored to your hair. After a thorough questionnaire (including how my local area’s conditions effect my hair) I was able to choose a custom scent, see what ingredients would be added into my products and how each one would combat my issues. I love how all the products are made with my needs in mind and labeled with my name on them! After using these products a handful of times I can say that I’m a huge fan of the Meleni scent (it’s perfect for the upcoming summer months and isn’t overwhelming) and like the way it makes my hair feel/look after use. Something to note is that since the products are made to order, they can take a few days to make and process before shipping out, mine took about 4 days to create before being sent out, and another 5 days in the mailing process. I kept seeing ads for Prose and looked into it but thought it was a bit pricy. I finally caved and subscribed and I am astounded at the results! And the customer service is bar none!! I had sent them an email saying I still had some dryness and frizz and they sent me suggestions like 'plopping' my hair. I didn't even know what plopping was, so I looked it up. It looked silly and like it wouldn't do anything, but I tired it as well as using the cold setting to diffuse (another suggestion). I was amazed, AMAZED, at the results! I had no idea my hair could be like this! I LOVE MY PROSE!!

I used Prose’s custom shampoo and conditioner for a few months and liked it but didn’t notice anything transformational. I wish they were more clear about how my personal details translated into my custom formulation, and I wish I could repurchase on my own cadence instead of their suggested cadence. I do like that they use clean nontoxic ingredients. And their dry shampoo is one of the best powder options I’ve found.

I love how custom the entire process was to formulate my own personal routine. They even recognized that I live in Florida and struggle with hard water, so they adjusted my formula to help. The survey was simple to fill out, and I received my routine very quickly. The packaging is cute, and all of the products have been working so well. I really enjoyed that I could select no fragrance.
