  • I purchased PlantPaper at a store that had it on sale for $9.99. I would not purchase again. It sheds and that’s a huge issue for me. I also don’t think it’s the softest on the planet. I’m going to stick with REEL Bamboo Toilet Paper!

Hey there! Thanks for reaching out. We’re so sorry to hear that you experienced shedding! Super strange – our rolls (and facial tissues) are completely lint free and resistant to shedding. Could you share additional photos of the product you received? This will help us greatly with quality control! Also — did you experience this with all of the rolls in your shipment?

  • I have tried literally every toilet paper out there, from 3 ply toxic white stuff to a leaf in the forest. Nothing, and I repeat NOTHING, beats plant paper. Anyone who tries it is a convert for life, even the non crunchy people in your life. Make the switch, you will never look back.

  • This is my favorite product ever. It is so soft and durable. Nothing like the easily rip-able, coarse feeling other eco TP brands. Knowing how many chemicals are in white toilet paper I feel so good having my whole family using plant paper. The ease of the subscription service also means i never need to think about running out. Oh and the best part, since using plantpaper, my husband’s hemorrhoids have disappeared ! Couldn’t recommend plantpaper more!

  • Love the tp & the new facial tissues. Super soft & easy to store.

  • this is the only toilet paper i will ever use. helped clear up my hemmis after just one week. also the sheets are huge and crazy strong. have still never had one rip and i'm a pretty aggressive wiper. also nice not to be sticking the pfas up my @$$

  • This was at an AirBNB I stayed at for a week, otherwise I would still probably be using the toilet paper I always have. I was expecting it to need more sheets since it didn't have the loftiness as my Costco paper. But it was the opposite. I actually use less because it's soft, effective and super durable. By the end of the week at my rental, I wanted to order some for the house so I searched for it and then became aware of the benefits. It was the quality and feel that made me a convert. I never thought I'd write a review for anything, let alone toilet paper, but it's just really that good.

  • I never ever subscribe to a product I haven't tried before. PlantPaper put me in for a subscription and sent another load of their crap. The TP clogs my toilets and the tissues are crunchy instead of soft. I got an email saying they were sending a second load to me, I emailed them immediately and they refused to stop the order and refused to let me return, telling me to donate it to friends for the holidays! What??? talk about poor service. Do not deal with this company!

Hi there Marcia! We're sorry to hear you weren't a fan of our product. We don't actually have the ability to sign our customers up for recurring subscriptions without their acknowledgement and consent, sounds like maybe you accidentally signed up? Glad you were able to resolve this with the customer service team! I know you spoke with them at length. I also wanted to address your septic safety complaint here. In all of our septic safety testing, and our six years in business, PlantPaper has always performed as well or better than conventional 2 and 3 ply brands. Please email us for a copy of our septic safety sheet. In numerous conversations with plumbers over the years, we’ve learned that many drain cleaning companies like to blame changes in toilet paper for backups, but there is typically an underlying issue—build up in the pipes, old and narrow pipes, something else inadvertently flushed down a drain—that lead to big backups like this (mostly in older homes). There’s no easy solution for those types of problems, so TP takes the blame. But as you can see in the test results, PlantPaper breaks down more quickly and more thoroughly than conventional brands, and so it’s highly unlikely it alone was the cause. Please let us know if there is anything else we can clear up for you! -Team PlantPaper

  • I've suffered from UTIs for most of my adult life. I was getting them every other month. I made the switch to PlantPaper like 6 months ago and I haven't had ONE UTI in that time. This isn't a coincidence. So there's that. In terms of the product itself, it's really soft and it doesn't leave lint behind. It's a pretty natural tan color because they don't bleach it. You actually feel clean after wiping with this toilet paper. Do yourself a favor and try this product. And then after that go down the rabbit hole of PFAS and toxic chemicals in the conventional brands we've loved for years like Charmin. It's so insane. Never going back! PlantPaper is now a staple in my home and I will recommend it to everyone in my life.

  • I saw an ad for this toilet paper on Instagram this morning. It seemed intriguing and I contemplated purchasing some to test it out. However, right when I got home and was about to make the purchase, I discovered that Plant Paper had sent a targeted message directly to my personal email without my consent or me having given them any of my personal information. They accomplished this by partnering with a third party surveillance company called SafeOpt that tracks people across the internet and gathers information about them unknowingly, which it then uses to reach them through personal channels. There's currently a class action lawsuit on the basis that it allegedly violates California's wiretapping laws. I'm planning to join that lawsuit and suggest that anyone else affected by this gross violation of privacy and trust do the same.

Hi Heather! I know you already spoke to our customer service team and they were able to resolve this issue for you, but I did want to respond here and apologize again. We’re truly sorry to hear about this. We take matters of privacy and trust very seriously. We do not currently nor have we ever employed third party surveillance software. The only thing that we use is something called AddShoppers, which sends emails on our behalf to those who have visited our website who have previously given their consent to receive promotional emails. Thanks so much for your feedback and we hope you'll consider being a PlantPaper subscriber some day!

  • This is a one and done. Not soft at all. Very expensive. I would not recommend to friends but maybe to a family member that I don't like. Very over exaggerated on how soft it is.....it is not

    Sophie D

Hi Daniel! Thank you for sharing your experience with our product. We're sorry to hear that it wasn't soft enough for you. Unfortunately, the white and fluffier your tp is-the more bleach and chemicals. Some conventional paper is even pumped with air to make it appear thicker. But this only makes it weaker and leave behind little white fluffy bits! While we know our rolls aren't the cheapest out there, our pricing is an honest reflection of what it costs to keep trees in the ground, plastic out of our supply chain and chemicals out of bodies and the environment. We source only FSC-certified bamboo, which is a lot more costly than bamboo whose origin may not be as sustainable. We also have zero palstic in our supply chain, which is unfortunately more expensive than opting for plastic packaging. We are continually striving to find ways to keep our prices down while not compromising on our values.

  • I love this stuff. I came across PlantPaper in the bathroom of my favorite yoga studio, SkyTing, and have been using it for over two years. I’m a big fan of unbleached TP in my bathroom, I think it looks and feels great, but I mainly keep subscribing because the environmental impact of PlantPaper is much less than regular paper.

I wish they would start producing disposable or reusable paper towel products! I mostly rely on rags and towels for household cleaning but I do still supplement with paper towels and would buy from PlantPaper if they made some.

  • High quality and healthy paper but I wish it was more affordable somehow.

There are other brands out there but this one is by far the most healthiest--just also happens to be one of the more pricier ones.

  • What a Con. The 96 rolls for $150 that are meant to last a family of 4 for 4 months is the same amount of toilet paper as the Costco brand pack for $23.99. I am appalled they are selling this amount of toilet paper for $150. Each roll is more narrow and thin than the Costco toilet paper rolls so even though plantpaper is selling 96 rolls they are tiny compared to what I get at Costco. Don’t waste your money.

    Got con’d

Hi Makaela, sorry to hear you were disappointed with your purchase! As you know, there's a pretty big range of prices and quality levels for toilet paper. While it's true, you can get a brand like Kirkland Signature at Costco for roughly 1.14 cents/roll, these rolls aren't really comparable to our products. We truly believe our rolls are the softest, strongest, smartest, toilet paper on the planet, made entirely without bleach, formaldehyde, plastic or BPA. Don’t be fooled by rolls pumped full of air, are loosely wrapped, and have smaller sheets. Our sheets are 20% larger and our rolls are packed tighter to save you on shipping (we offer free shipping) give it a measure.

  • No fuss, just great chemical-free toilet paper. Very different at first from "normal" TP, but once you get used to it, you can enjoy some beautiful design and a plastic-free option.
