Here I am, writing a review for paper and toilet paper... but now that we have studies coming out about toxins like PFAS, I am always looking for the opportunity to do better in my own home. It seems like Plant Paper has been on the radar for a while so I wanted to give it a go. Honestly, I find it to be the same if not better than my usual Brawny and Charmin papers. They are also on a subscription model and I appreciate the plastic-free packaging.

**Finally, a healthier toilet paper my kids didn’t revolt against.** This was not my first attempt at healthier toilet paper. I was perfectly willing to live with the last one. My kids were not. Their review was concise: *it feels like sandpaper.* So softness was the test, and PlantPaper passed. It is genuinely soft. Not “soft for bamboo” or “soft for eco-friendly toilet paper.” Just soft. No complaints from the kids, which may be the most meaningful endorsement in this house. The hurdle I wasn’t prepared for? **It’s brown.** Not crisp, bleached toilet-paper white. Actual brown. I opened the box and definitely had a moment. And then… so what? It turned out to be a complete non-issue. Within a day I stopped noticing it, and now the fact that its natural color comes from being unbleached actually makes perfect sense. PlantPaper is made from FSC-certified bamboo, is unbleached, and the company says it contains no added fragrance or dyes and is tested for PFAS and formaldehyde. I came for a healthier toilet paper that didn’t feel like sandpaper. I stayed because apparently brown toilet paper is something I can get over very quickly.

Like many people who have used toilet paper for a lifetime, I really thought the only difference between brands was softness/thickness. I had never really considered that it should be "natural" or "healthy". But PlantPaper is free of bleach, dyes, and PFAS, which just makes sense for something you’re using directly on your body. It’s also reasonably soft and doesn’t have that rough feeling the similar looking (nonabsorbent) kraft paper towels from the automatic dispensers have. However, it's not quite as thick as the rolls you might get at your local stores, and the rolls themselves are not as large. So it does become quite pricey over time.

Unlike ultra-white, bleached conventional brands, PlantPaper TP is unbleached with a natural tan shade and features a unique dual-textured design...one silky side for dabbing and a grippy side for grabbing! The 3-ply sheets are about 15–20% larger than standard sheets, strong, and entirely dust-free or lint-free. My husband's allergies are especially thankful! They are lab-tested and certified free of bleach, formaldehyde, PFAS, and dyes, making them exceptionally gentle on sensitive skin and fully septic-safe. My septic system is also especially thankful! The only drawback is the premium pricing compared to standard grocery brands and a slight adjustment to the unbleached color. And shipping was so FAST!

First, I'd like to say...I LOVE their core philosophy and wholeheartedly agree!!! Built on a simple idea: that what's better for the planet should also work better for you. I also LOVE that it's made entirely from 100% FSC-Certified, carbon-neutral bamboo rather than clear-cut tree pulp and rigorously lab-tested and certified free of bleach, formaldehyde, and PFAS. They are strong, soft, and for lack of better words...smarter than conventional brands...oh, and NO annoying paper dust! Tough, too! The 3-ply sheets hold up beautifully to tough kitchen messes and do not shred when completely wet. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an eco-friendly kitchen towel that delivers heavy-duty strength without exposing your countertops or hands to harsh chemical residues.

My husband loves environmental, chemical, and performance makeup of PlantPaper so much that I get really great selfies of him using it. For us, performance and sturdiness are non-negotiable and we feel like we aren't compromising at all on PlantPaper. The other major added benefit is we feel good using it from a health perspective due to the lack of bleach. The cherry on top is the tree-free manufacturing process, making auto-order an easy decision.

Toilet paper is not something we usually think of being unhealthy but after further research I am now switching to non toxic and sustainable toilet paper that’s not bleached and has no chemicals. This toilet paper is soft, effective, strong, and best of all with no harsh chemicals nor toxins. Shipping was extremely fast.

The best bamboo toilet paper out there! I love how easy these are to store away (i place them in small baskets in my bathroom). They come in small packs so I gift a pack or two to my friends and family. Im obsessed with how soft and efficient these are. Will definitely be a customer for life!

These facial tissues are perfect. I have boxes placed in my kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. It's perfect for every day uses. I even gift some away to friends when they come over. I'm looking forward to a travel size soon!

I LOVE these new plant paper towels! They're strong enough to handle everyday messes and I can reuse them over and over again without it falling apart. I also appreciate how compact they are, which is super easy to store in my pantry. The best new addition to my toilet paper & tissues! Exactly what I was looking for.

Love this eco friendly brand. Delivery was quick and the packaging is super thoughtful - unlike other toilet paper deliveries I've received, this shipment arrived dry and intact. It's really soft (I had doubts!) - a definite improvement over other brands.

I'm in the process of switching everything at home to non toxic. I have already been using this bamboo toilet paper for YEARS. I will not use anything else, when I go on vacation I bring rolls with me, because I start to notice irritation as soon as I use anything but PlantPaper. The TP is so soft and strong and I've tried all of the other brands, this is the best. I was quite literally thrilled to see they now have paper towels!!!! They are actually insane. Best paper towels I've ever used, 1 sheet lasts nearly 5 uses. I've never used a paper towel like this before. Soft and absorbent. It's also comforting to know when I use paper towels for cooking (sometimes I am dabbing meat or salmon) now I'm not touching my food with paper towels that have been BLEACHED. This company knows what they are doing. Totally worth paying a bit more in my opinion. I am beyond happy.

It's fine. I appreciate the all paper, compostable packaging and the lack of plastic wrap. The deal breaker for me was the toilet paper color. For obvious reasons, brown toilet paper is not the move.

I love the mission of this brand and was shocked to hear how toxic some of the standard brands of toilet paper are. I am looking forward to giving this a try. One point taken off due to the high cost of the product.

I like that this product is more environmentally friendly and made from cleaner non-toxic materials and I wanted it to be a good fit for my family, however, the paper itself is just so thin and rough compared with the name brands you find in your grocery store. While i would be fine putting up with it for the environmental and clean factor, my husband was not impressed so we did not continue to purchase this product.

I'm so glad I switched to PlantPaper products. It’s been a game changer! Their toilet paper is incredibly soft and strong, the paper towels are super absorbent and amazing at soaking up spills, and the tissues are top-notch quality. Plus, it's made from bamboo, making it a wonderfully sustainable choice without sacrificing an ounce of performance. Highly recommend!

I love plant paper!! I’ve been using it for about a year and I love the mission, the product and the fact that it comes straight to my door.

This is truly the best non toxic toilet paper on the market and I've truly tried them all. I was suffering from bacterial infections every other month and my doctor suggested switching my TP which is how I even found the brand. Not to be dramatic but this toilet saved my life. Even my boyfriend loves it and he would only ever wipe with Charmin ultra soft. If that doesn't convince you I don't know what will.
