Reviews mention

  • Engaging, charismatic instructors
  • Extensive, evolving class library
  • Sturdy, smooth ride hardware
  • Motivating, community-driven platform
  • Uncomfortable, rigid bike saddle
  • High, recurring membership fees
  • Occasional clunky software updates
  • Inconsistent hardware longevity

Peloton wins praise in reviews for motivating, studio-caliber classes, engaging instructors (Cody Rigsby, Alex Toussaint, Robin Arzón), seamless app breadth, and sturdy, smooth hardware that makes at‑home workouts convenient and habit‑forming; however, recurring membership costs are widely criticized, the bike seat comfort and occasional hardware maintenance issues recur, and some find the experience overrated or less effective than live classes. Overall, Peloton is good if you’ll use it consistently and value variety and community, but buyers should weigh subscription demands and ergonomics.

  • Peleton is my family's favorite workout accessory. We have been riding for years now due to the amazing instructors and supportive community. Within the past few years, they have added many different kinds of workouts that you can do at home on the bike, or stream when you are on vacation.

  • Love peloton but wish they would improve their instructor selection. The overly hyped super motivating instructor is not fit everyone. Some days are tougher and tough love doesn’t work

  • def got my money's worth. great classes and flexible way to get cardio in.

  • I love peloton! I got one at the beginning of Covid to stay in shape, and I have never gone back since it is so nice and fun to be able to participate in classes without even having to leave the house. Definitely an amazing purchase.

  • Let’s get fit! I use my parents peloton account and love that I can do effective exercises from the comfort of my studio apartment.

  • I love the Peloton Bike! The classes are fun motivating and challenging. I am hooked on the classes and a great supplement to my everyday fitness routine.

The bike design could be updated. It's sometimes hard to adjust the seat and handlebars or switch toe cages to clip in peddles.

  • I love this bike that goes nowhere!! I love everything about it!! The instructors are well rounded there’s someone for everyone all different levels from novice to advanced!! The instructors bridge a community sense and presence. They motivate you and have so many different modalities for fitness to choose fun!! Use your app for indoor or outdoor challenges and rack up up those badges!! You’ll never do fitness alone!!

  • 1st-gen bike owner here. Quality and amount of classes are top-notch, Peloton is the company to beat in that regard. Pricing could be better along with DIY options for fixing the bike.

    Feedback

    Fairer pricing would be nice.

  • Great classes and incredible instructors. They really make it easy to follow along and learn from what your doing. The classes have such a variety, that there is something for everyone.

While the music is pretty diverse, a K-Pop or Disney strength class or tread class would be fun.

  • Excellent variety of exercise classes with pumped music and instructors. Outside running and barre classes could be better, but I trained for a marathon using their program and it was great! Downside is the price.

  • I'm renting my bike and I love the classes! Im latin and there are a lot of great classes in Spanish and with latin music!

  • Peloton is well worth the money if you use it consistently. You have to pay for the bike/tread plus monthly membership for all access to classes. I have the bike and I enjoy it, it makes it easy to get a quick work out in. The swivel screen is great because I can use it for strength classes & yoga. A peloton associate comes to your house to set it up and gives you a hands on tutorial on how to use the bike & it's features.

Lower monthly membership rates for classes

  • There's a reason they have some of the highest NPS scores of any consumer facing company. The bike works amazing despite minimal maintenance (woops), the instructors and classes are varied and awesome, and the community is awesome. As long as they continue to hold onto their best instructors and keep improving the class quality, I will be a customer. I've had the bike for 3+ years and it's amazing how my instructor preference has changed but there is always someone right in my wheelhouse for any given attitude/day (300+ rides down).

Really would like to see more improved product lines or a product like Tonal (strength training) to complement the bike cardio. Treadmill didn't do it for me (bad knees!). The Microsoft Kinect knock off weight cabinet thing seemed really off brand. Rower is tempting!

  • I love the product — I use it weekly. The class range is wide and it gets me to get movin.

    Feedback

There is a lack of flexibility — you can only watch Peloton content and you cannot watch Netflix or other services. It is also VERY expensive - that would be my main con. And it is 5x the subscription cost of AppleFitness

  • As a long time soul cycler I got a peloton during the pandemic because I was desperate. Honestly I find the classes really boring and very rarely do them.

    Feedback

    More choreography in bike classes.

  • Great at home workout, wonderful customer support and fun classes that are always changing!

  • Got a bike right when the pandemic started. Though it was a big investment, I think the catalog of quality content that extends past the bike is what continues to make this bike and subscription worth it. There’s an option to exercise no matter what energy level you’re at.

Open a studio on the West coast!

  • I loved their digital product, but it’s changed a lot.

    Feedback

I wish it went back to the old pricing. There was no reason to change the digital membership pricing.
