Reviews mention

  • Soft cloudknit fabric loungewear
  • Durable rectrek pants construction
  • Playful, distinctive colorways
  • Thoughtful pockets and details
  • Inconsistent, unreliable sizing
  • Stiff, slipping leggings performance
  • Sweat‑showing, thick fabrics
  • Variable durability in seams

Outdoor Voices earns mixed reviews: the brand delivers soft, durable lounge and athleisure standouts like CloudKnit joggers, RecTrek pants, and the iconic Exercise Dress, but performance pieces—especially many leggings and some bras—feel stiff, slip, or show sweat, and sizing runs inconsistent. Reviews of Outdoor Voices also flag variable quality and fit (plus-size and petite needs unmet), while praising unique colorways, thoughtful details (pockets, adjustable straps), and long-wearing fleece and basics; great for everyday movement and errands, less reliable for high‑intensity workouts.

  • The products really are so so soft. I do think they could expand the style offerings a bit more, but the products I have gotten are super soft and are really great great quality.

More product offerings would be great!

  • I think out of all activewear brands, OV is superior with its marketing and messaging. The brand itself is inclusive, consumer-focused, and fun. However, the product itself leaves more to be desired. Out of the pieces I have, the fabrics are either too thin and stretchy or too heavy and compressive. The fit of many pieces could be better - higher rise, tighter in some areas, etc. What draws me to the brand is the creative pieces and the community that the brand has built, however for the same price point - I'd recommend shopping at other activewear brands for better quality pieces.

  • The branding is fun but I just don't like the fit of any of their stuff, especially their leggings. It's really loose and stretches after a few wears.

  • I love (almost) everything about my exercise dress, so I have THREE of them. And I'm excited to try the redesign. I also have two pairs of track pants which I wear allllll winter for working from home.

  • I really don't like the fit. I have two things from them - the bra zipper broke and the leggings don't stay up. also the legging fabric is really thick and weird.

    better product quality.

  • My OV leggings are pretty whatever. Some of the fabric is super stiff, some is super thin. I'm 5'8" and the leggings are way too short. They are almost capris but not quite. I also wish they were a higher rise.

  • ⭐⭐⭐ Outdoor Voices offers a unique and innovative approach to activewear, which I admire. Their commitment to promoting an active lifestyle and inclusivity is commendable. However, I've found that the fit of some of their pieces can be hit or miss, and not always flattering on every body type. While I appreciate the concept behind their designs, I wish there was more consistency in the fit across their product line. That being said, I do appreciate the quality of the materials used and the comfort of their clothing. Overall, Outdoor Voices has some great ideas and potential, but there's room for improvement in the execution of their designs to ensure a more universally flattering fit.

  • OV was great back in 2015. I still have some of the first men's products they released. But yikes, the company has gone downhill fast ever since they forced out the founder and laid off most of their employees. This brand is on life support.

  • I stopped into my local Outdoor Voices outlet and let me tell you, a breath of fresh air! The store and the clothing mission is inspiring and makes me so excited to get outdoors and move. I love that they offer both sophisticated and classic colors and styles. The fabrics are durable and so comfy for moving. Highly recommend!

  • I've ordered a handful of things from Outdoor Voices. I didn't love the first couple of leggings I received (ordered in 2018) beacuse they felt like they were falling down a lot. But I really like the biker shorts and the bra. I recently ordered a couple of things (leggings and bra) and have really liked them. They stay up and the quality is great. Also very flattering.

  • High quality, but inconsistent sizing across styles. This brand definitely tailors to straight-body sizing, and isn't very inclusive of curvier/thicker bodies. However, their colors are so fun, and I love the utility of the Snack bike shorts, all their pockets, and the tiny little backpack that came with it. I love that little thing. Be weary of any bike shorts of lighter colors. I had gotten a pair of their lighter/bright citrusy green shorts, and they're incredibly translucent. I kept thinking, if I wear a thong, or nix the underwear completely, that they'd be less see through. I thought wrong bc you could see literally everything. Had to return that pair.

  • Love the bright fun colors of their clothes. That said, I wouldn't pay full price for their clothes, since the quality and sizing aren't really consistent. Call outs: Lime green socks are so comfy! I was surprised at how much I like them, fleece pullover is great for runs, and exercise dress is perfect for any summer activity

  • quality does not compare to brands like Lululemon. leggings often fall down when exercising, and tops gap in awkward places

  • I have the zip off pants and the exercise dress. Overall they are really nice quality and fit well! The pants are great! Roomier than athleta’s and the belt feature is nice. It’s easy to zip them on and off, but I wish I could zip down the side too so I don’t have to take my shoes off to remove. The dress is cute and fits true to size, but when I actually exercise in it the under boob sweat shows up on the front and is really embarrassing. This would be solved with a shelf bra rather than just a liner. I don’t wear it much because of this.

  • The court skirts are the perfect fit for fun and multi use. You can wear them working out or as a comfortable outfit for lunch.

  • Great compression leggings and fun colors! I’ve had mine for 5 years now and look like new.

  • Outdoor Voices is one of the best workout/athleisure brands out there, in my opinion. Most people know about their exercise dress, a viral piece. I also love their biker shorts and bra sets. My favorite thing I own from Outdoor Voices is their cool socks: thick, with good cushion and fun sayings on the back. One of the other reasons I love this brand so much is because of their shopping experience. The staff is always friendly, the store is not overly crowded with products and they have a great healthcare worker discount. No downsides here!

  • I want to love and I've likely spent close to $1000 on their products but I just can't recommend them. The clothes fall apart, pill up, roll up. I've gone through about 5 exercises dresses in the last 3 years. The designs are wonderful but the quality is not. However, their support team is solid and they always make up for what's lacking in quality.

  • Overall high quality but have had some issues with finishings lately - nylon stitching with scratchy overhangs that I've had to try and burn off.

  • Amazing products and colors, and I’m especially impressed by their inclusive sizing. I wish they carried the full size range in stores though.
