Haus Label
Experience
I purchased Haus's cream long-sleeved backless bodysuit when they launched this fall and have already worn it more times than I can count. Haus lives up to its philosophy of designing clothes that are meant to become mainstays in your wardrobe. I've worn my bodysuit to run errands and to get dinner / drinks with friends, it truly can be styled so many different ways and I feel great every time. Definitely expensive pieces, but the quality and ability to get your use of them is so high. Would definitely recommend!
Naadam
Experience
I shop Naadam for their $75 sweaters, which everyone in my family must have now. They make a great gift and are high quality / soft for the price point. Love this as an accessible cashmere option.
The Rounds
Experience
I subscribed to The Rounds in their very early days (when they were formerly called Mlkmn) when I lived in Philly. At the time, they offered household basics with super convenient at-home delivery, and easy pickup of containers once you were done with items. I LOVED the brand's mission and ability to balance convenience with guilt-free consumption of goods that I usually buy in mass (unnecessarily) from big box stores. Hoping they make their way to NYC soon so I can subscribe again!
Tappan
Experience
Purchased a beautiful Gia Coppola print from Tappan. As someone interested in starting a "collection" of art, I always start my search on Tappan and love the way they're curated a unique mix of emerging artists and actually offer pieces at an affordable price point.
Wool and the Gang
Experience
WATG is the reason I kept with knitting when I started. Their patterns and supplementary Youtube tutorials are so easy to follow, and they have great customer service if you have questions on a pattern. I've made multiple kits from WATG and they've all turned out beautifully. Their yarns definitely aren't cheap but I do think they're quite beautiful, and I love the variety of colors / materials they offer.
Feedback
Ability to purchase more patterns without kits.
Boy Smells
Experience
I LOVE Boy Smells candles. One of the few "status candles" that feels like a still relatively attainable price point, and think the scents / branding is a bit less stuffy compared to others. My favorite scents are Cowboy Kush and Hinoki Fantome, but I honestly haven't met a scent I didn't like.
Ruby
Experience
Fun product, cool social presence, and a drink I do actually enjoy. Not sure it's something I'm spending the $$$ on every time I go to the store, but I do think it tastes good, both stand alone or as a mix-in for drinks. Have had both their unsweetened and original sweetened flavor. Don't know that I'm fully bought into the hype, but I feel that way about most "startup" beverage brands.
We're Not Really Strangers
Experience
Have played this game multiple times with groups of varying sizes / levels of "closeness". Really do think the questions are thoughtful and prompt good conversation. Great if you want to get to know people better (whether you've just met them or have known them for a long time).
The Reformation
Experience
I've shopped a lot of Reformation products over the years and was always excited about their mission, especially when they started out. With that said, they've started to rest on their laurels. Find the clothing to be overpriced considering the level of quality. Think the materials and fit have gone down significantly.
Feedback
Improve fit / quality or reduce price point.
Outdoor Voices
Experience
Agree with the reviews saying their products are hit or miss. There are ones I've loved and gotten tons of wear out of over the years (exercise dress and their leggings in the thinner TechSweat material). Think their thicker fabrics could use some work, at least for bottoms...I find the leggings to be too "pants like". Overall, love the colors and "fun" elements of the brands. Will always have my favorites on rotation in my workout wardrobe.
