Outdoor Voices earns mixed-to-positive reviews: the brand delivers soft, durable athleisure staples—standouts include the Exercise Dress, CloudKnit sweats, and RecTrek pants—yet fit inconsistency, limited size inclusivity, and variable fabric performance (thick, stiff, or stretching out; sweat showing; seams failing) undermine trust. Reviews praise distinctive colorways, comfortable basics, and long-lasting pieces, but critique leggings’ odd fit and longevity and note quality fluctuations in recent years.

Some of my favorite socks, so soft and the reusable bags are great

I've been into Outdoor Voices for a while, and nearly everything I've bought from them has worked out great. Yes, it's a little pricey, but they provide a generous student discount for students, and their customer service is excellent. I'd say it's worth the price!
Outdoor voices makes cute athleisure wear that is sustainable and high quality. Their exercise dresses are the best out there, with the spandex lining that has pockets inside/under the dress part. They are lightweight and airy too. The skort's are comfortable and chic and I ended up purchasing a couple pairs of them to wear in the summer time. The relay shorts are thin with no lining if you prefer those. I enjoy wearing those to walk the dog, around the house and even to sleep in. They are great for water activities too and dry quickly. Their fleece collection is incredibly soft and warm which makes them great for lounging around the house! They always have discounts and sometimes have a student discount promo as well!
Love the designs, but I've ordered quite a few times and the sizing and fit is always hit or miss. The brand runs big which is frustrating sometimes. Even when I reference the size chart or size down, some items are too large. Exchanges and returns are very easy and the customer service is helpful.

Most of their leggings and shorts are mid-rise, which is not flattering on my body. I wish they made all the cute color blocked designs in high-rise!
I've only purchase their items second hand so I have no experience with their customer service but I can say their products seem well made based off the fact that my items have been preused. I would say that that they are a bit overrated for the price but they do frequently run sales that make them a bit more reasonable.

I wish the leggings could be more size inclusive to accommodate tall and short sizes.
I SWEAR by my OV leggings. They keep me sucked in and are more flattering on me than any other leggings I have tried. I love the options OV offers, and I love the branding and messaging. Super inclusive, but not super try-hard. Obsessed!

I would suggest making finding the perfect gear for your body type more transparent. I had to try a few different styles of legging before I found my perfect pair!
I love all of their colors -- lots of clothing, particularly activewear, is either just neutral or kind of neon/ garish to me. These are fun, bold, non-obnoxious colors. This is a very specific situation, but a family member of mine had a mastectomy recently and needed to find comfortable bras that could accommodate a prosthesis. The people in store were so warm and helpful about this, and it turns out that a lot of the bras worked for that purpose!

I've found some breathable leggings that stay up well and don't feel uncomfortable around the waist. Other leggings, though, have been too stiff and rigid around the waist (and run really small). All that to say, it varies from fabric to fabric and style to style. It's a little easier, in my opinion, to shop in person than online as a result.
Honestly, overpriced and not very fitness-friendly. Shows sweat IMMEDIATELY.

Stop showing sweat!
Cloudknit pants are the bomb!!
My athleisure collection is 70% OV at this point. I think the quality is much better than Lululemon and I could live in their Hudson shorts. They also offer free hemming if you drop off the product in stores which is a game changer for petite people.
Even with OV's internal changes in recent years, I really love their new product releases from the exercise dress to some of their new tanks and prints. Their sizing is pretty consistent overall, but it's always nice to be able to try on in store.

I do wish it was easier to distinguish the thickness of different fabrics online.
Despite not having a lot of it, doing things is the new black. The OV exercise dress really is that girl. I own about 7 of them and have done just about everything in them from swimming, playing tennis, completing my race, and running errands. Also a huge fan of the sports bras in that they offer great comfort and coverage!
Feedback
Their extended sizing is not super great and as a tall person, it is disappointing to get what they presume to be tall and then they hit at that awkward angle spot. I still also haven't quite found the perfect material for their leggings in that sometimes I'm expecting stretchy material and it's often stiff.
I got a few articles of clothing in a whole store sale and they fit ok. Nothing special. A pullover I got is completely suffocating. The Sherpa pull over I got gets fuzzy stuff everywhere, and the shorts just fit weird.
I really love my outdoor voices apparel! It is pretty affordable for the quality and always has a sale. I've tried out their dresses and bras and find that they compete with lulu quite well.
Love, love, love the Exercise Dress, Doing Things bra, and their hats!
It’s cute and comfortable, but I really like lulu policy that you can exchange the clothes if you get any thing wrong in no matter time, I think other brands should do the same, I have leg problems and my pants always get messed up, so lulu always exchange for me

OV exercise dresses are the bomb! Love the comfort and colors. I have two different styles and wear them all summer for dog walks. I have also tried some of their leggings, but the material is too stiff.
I keep wanting to love outdoor voices, love their mission and marketing. First to the exercise dress game, which I own 2 of but the elastic on the straps wears out after ~2 years. Their leggings and bras are so stiff or too thin, haven't found materials I like from them. Would not recommend.
I really enjoy outdoor voices - I’m probably one of their power buyers (if there is a customer ranking lol) of the cloudknit series. As far as other collections, I have some notes - would love more 100% cotton, the bike shorts and dresses need to have longer inseams (ya girl needs 7”), would love more fun prints, and the sewing could be improved on all pant and shirt seams.
I feel conflicted about OV. Very hit or miss depending on the product. I LOVE the brand, what it stands for, activity collaborations, etc., but I think the quality oftentimes is lacking. The exercise dresses are amazing, but my leggings started to pull and fray after just a couple of wears.
