OLAPLEX earns polarized reviews: it visibly strengthens and revives bleached or damaged hair—No. 3 Hair Perfector, No. 6 Bond Smoother, No. 7 Bonding Oil, and the 4P Purple Shampoo are frequent standouts—yet many users report dryness, heaviness, or even increased shedding and brittleness if overused. The brand is praised for salon-clean scent, rich lather, and fast toning, but criticized for inconsistent results across hair types and small, hard-to-dispense bottles.

This is an amazing product like most of the Olaplex line when used correctly! Over using will make your hair feel worse and look worse and underusing won’t help. For me I mix it with Olaplex N6 and apply it to damp hair like almost dripping and then use a wide tooth comb and let air dry. I use heat on my hair almost everyday (curling or crimping) so I’ll put 2 drops for my entire head in my hand and run that through my hair before heat and if my hair is frizzy I only do 1-2 drops for all of my hair. A little goes a long way, this stuff will last! The bottle is pretty thin and plastic so don’t toss it around all crazy and if you see “smoke/steam” when you use this as a heat protector it’s not drying your hair it’s an oil, it’s going to burn and that the purpose of heat protectant is for the product to take the heat/burn not that hair.

I’d love a dropper bottle instead of a twist cap!

I’ve been using Olaplex shampoos for a few months now, and I am absolutely hooked! My hair has never felt healthier or looked shinier. I love how soft and hydrates my hair feels after each wash. It lathers up really nicely and doesn’t leave any residue. After a few uses, I noticed less breakage, and my hair just looks smoother overall. The scent is light and fresh, not overpowering, which is a bonus for me. I can’t recommend Olaplex enough if you’re looking for a high-quality shampoo that really delivers on its promise of stronger, healthier hair. It’s definitely worth the investment, cause yes, I’m aware that is expensive

I have used Olaplex for years and it healed my hair after transitioning too quickly from dark brown to bleach blonde! I get compliments daily and recommend this product each time.

I have a bit of a fussy hair, so when I came across this oil, I hear a lot of good things about it so I wanted to give it a try. This oil so great, it took the fussy hair away, give me a shine look to my hair, the best part that this product last so long, you would thing this small bottle will run out quickly but no it I got it at the beginning of the summer and I only use a small part of it. It’s a beautiful product, get for fussy hair.

Olaplex has been a game changer for my hair strength and durability! I have fine/medium blonde hair and have always struggled finding products that hydrate my hair without making it feel weighted down or greasy. I love the way the shampoo cleans my hair without stripping away healthy oils and how the oil makes my hair look shiny without adding a greasy look or making my hair feel heavy. The only thing that i don’t love is that you have to be careful with how often you use the shampoo, conditioner, and treatment products as using them too often can cause more harm than help.

Going through the pandemic I was one of those girlys who decided to do my own balayage! HUGE mistake. I damaged my hair so bad. Oleplex was the only thing that by using daily at first and then weekly. Now but weekly saved my hair! It helped fix the broken brittle ends, bring some moisture back and my hair a year later was back to normal. It is now part of my normal hair routine 1-2x a week for the shampoo and conditioner and 1x a month for steps 0-5 LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!

I spend a lot of time focusing on making my hair healthy. This includes scalp, appearance and longevity of product lifespan. I started being aware of Olaplex when I wanted to find a healthy way to have my hair blonded. My hair stylist introduced me to the Bonding Oil initially to replace the (embarrassing) No More Tangles I was using on my unruly long hair as detangler. The Oil is very lightweight, has a pleasant but minimal odor and is multifunctional. I use it to detangle, hydrate and add shine. As someone with a lot of fine hair, I was worried it would make my hair greasy but it never leaves any residue behind. I've also started using the Bond Smoother and Volumizing Blow Dry Mist. Each product from the line has helped speed up my blow dry routine and helps maintain my blowout for longer.

Hands down one of the best shampoos I've used. My hair is soft, shiny, and has bounce to it. I get compliments often. I love it!

Because I live in an old brownstone apartment building, it’s difficult to get my shower warm in a short amount of time. Getting my hair wet twice with 15-20 minutes between application and rinsing is a bit of a pain. This makes the popular Olaplex No. 3 a bit irritable to use (these are personal opinions, though there are others who dislike the two-step process). However, I cannot deny that the clarifying treatment works wonderfully. It eliminates buildup and strengthens the roots. I lose much less hair and don’t need to shampoo as often. The scent is fresh and clean; no overpowering sweet, floral, or woodsy odor. Once Olaplex No 3 is rinsed out and the hair is dry, it feels so silky and soft. I definitely recommend it for others!

When I first dyed my hair, I bought Olaplex to maintain the strength of my hair since dying. Now after dying it multiple times, I still have Olaplex in my haircare. It is crazy how much product I still have after using the product for almost 2 years, I'm not even halfway there to finish. For the price, I do think it is on the higher-end side, but because Olaplex has trademarked their bonding formula, I think it makes buying Olaplex kind of exclusive. I used No. 6 & 7 which is such a great combo for any type of hair!

Olaplex, my hair's hero! After 9 months of devotion, I've actually witnessed a curl renaissance!! I had heat damage that completely took my curl pattern out of my hair….Thanks to Olaplex - my wash & go curls are a head turner!!! Follow the instructions, embark on a journey to healthy hair, and let Olaplex be your curl's comeback story!!

Provides noticeable and fast results for dry and bleached hair. Have been using for 2 weeks now and have found hair to be more moisturised and soft, especially when blow drying as much as I do! A little bit goes a long way, I apply it via my finger tips and work up from the bottom up of my hair. I genuinely don’t think you could go wrong with this, it just may work more magic on some hair than on others.

As a tester, I had the opportunity to try out Olaplex and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed. The results were nothing short of amazing. Before using Olaplex, my hair was in a sorry state. It was dry, brittle, and damaged from years of heat styling and chemical treatments. I had tried numerous products and treatments in the past, but nothing seemed to truly repair my hair. But then I discovered Olaplex. From the very first use, I could feel a noticeable difference in the texture of my hair. It felt smoother, softer, and much stronger. The treatment itself was easy to apply and didn't take up too much time, which was a huge plus for me. Overall, I can confidently say that Olaplex is a game-changer in the world of hair care. I highly recommend giving it a try if you're looking to repair and strengthen your damaged hair.

I like the bonding oil nº7. I use it everytime I style my hair. I also love the mask nº8. I just made an order for the nº7, nº8 and nº3 and nº9 to try. *I have bleach and curly hair.

I’ve used the Olaplex bond protector for all my pre straightening hair ventures. Every time it’s been used I’ve always been able to bounce back to my normal natural curls. It smells great and doesn’t make my hair so oily I need to wash it. Will continue buying their products

My hair has been through it all—dyeing, styling, you name it. But Olaplex swoops in like a hero to repair and strengthen. It's like a spa day but for your hair. Texture? Smoother than smooth. My hair feels like silk after using it, and the shine? Oh, it's that "just left the salon" level of shine. Can't beat that feeling! Now, here's the thing: I do wish I got a bit more bang for my buck. The results are amazing, no doubt, but for the price, a bit more product would've been stellar. Gotta admit it's like reaching the end of a great movie and wanting more! But hey, even with that, I'd still say it's worth it. If you're all about that hair care life and don't mind splurging a bit for a miracle worker, Olaplex is your go-to.

I have short, permed and colored hair which tends to be a little dry so I needed good quality hair care products to help improve my haair health. I have been using Olaplex for 3 odd years and have found their Bond Maintenance shampoo and conditioner to be especially moisturizing for my colored hair. I also use their 2 steps hair repair treatment (No. 0 and No. 3) and like the improvement to my hair texture. Occasionally I will use No. 6 as a leave on Smoother conditioning for my ends, it has a creamy texture but does not weigh your hair down. A little goes a long way with this. Overall I have found Olaplex to be a good hair care product even though it is pricey but you get what you pay for as they say. All the Olaplex products I have used did not contain any scent. I have tried the hair oil but did not find it any better than other brands so it is not on my list of reorders.
