Oatly impresses in reviews for café-worthy performance—its Barista Edition froths reliably and delivers a creamy, smooth texture that elevates coffee, matcha, and lattes—while dividing opinion over formulation. Fans praise the rich mouthfeel, neutral-to-oaty flavor, and versatility across baking, cereal, and smoothies; critics cite seed/rapeseed oils, gums/additives, sweetness, and occasional digestive upset as drawbacks. Overall, Oatly is considered a top-tasting, highly consistent oat milk for beverages, but less appealing to buyers prioritizing ultra‑clean ingredients.

  • Our favorite milk at home. It isn't too creamy, and it's perfect for our oatmeal and coffee.

  • Much ceamier and better taste alternative than almond. The website offer individual carton for easy grab and go buylt I don't seem to be able to find it in any grocery store which is a bumb. The barista version though taste a bit odd and I much prefer the original or vanilla

  • Super great taste. Naturally sweet

  • I love having this dairy alternative. My daughter is lactose intolerant. She loves Oatly.

  • I love oatly. As a barista this is my favorite oat milk to make lattes with, even works well for capuccino foam which is impossible with any other plant based milk.

  • Big dog in the Oat milk space. If you've ever tried oat milk at a coffee shop there is a good chance you've tried Oatly. I find Oatly to be much smoother than Almond milk.

  • Maybe I need to try a different flavor but I did not enjoy this at all..

  • Oley is pretty good oat milk. I’m not really a huge fan of oat milk. I would rather drink organic soy milk. The lack of protein is an issue for me.

  • It is definitely the most reliable oat milk on the market. It is the best to steam with, and the flavor is good, though a bit sweet. Sometimes, the packaging struggles when it comes to the pull tab spout, where the pull will fall off the seal. Annoying, but especially an inconvenience in a cafe setting during a rush.

  • Best Oat milk. Use it in my lattes daily. it is barista quality. Not too sweet and the perfect amount of creamy!

  • The classic and the best oat milk on the market - never breaks in hot coffee.

  • Used to love this brand until I realized how much gums were in their products. I heard they came out with a gum free one so I would love to try that out. Oatly’s taste is superior though. Right up there with Califia Oat Barista Blend.

  • Good but not the best ingredients.

  • I buy oatly at the store every week. I particularly like the barista version. It’s great for frothing for lattes in my espresso machine. Also it’s shelf stable so you can keep it in your cupboard until ready to consume, then refrigerate. I also buy the lower fat version in the cold section of the store. It’s good for cereal and coffee as well. I also enjoyed the oatly ice cream but would skip the yogurt.

  • The barista quality Oatly is always in our fridge - rich enough for our milk frother which can be hard to nail with non-dairy milk!

  • The oat milk is creamy. I put it in my morning granola and homemade latte. Great non-dairy alternative!

  • The oat milk is smooth, thick and of course, oatly. I try to reduce dairy intake by trying different plant-based milk and oatly brand is one of my favorites.

  • The chocolate milk will be my favorite forever! Also love the taste of original one. Barista milk is great for cappuccino and latte's. Kind of pricey tho where I live.
