  • I’ve been tracking with NC for over 4 years, and the recent partnership with Oura ring has made it incredibly easier. I was not good at measuring consistently in the mornings and the Oura ring really changes that — however price can be a huge barrier for many people with both the ring and the NC subscription. I tried to get it reimbursed by my insurance on multiple occasions and it was denied no matter the documents I had from my doctor, etc. I wish that was easier.

  • This is my second year tracking my cycle with Nature Cycles app and basal body temperature. The product works well, the app works well- I haven't had any issues since I started doing it. Of course, the data is only as good as how consistent you are. But even with some of my inconsistency, the app has been spot-on with when my period is starting (which I really appreciate). What the app maybe doesn't teach you is that in order for basal body temperature to be helpful (especially as it relates to fertility) is that you need to measure at the same time every day. It has not been accurate at predicting ovulation, I have had to supplement with ovulation tests in order to track that more effectively. But it does get close! My main issue is that it costs $120 a year for the app. Although I can charge it to my FSA card- they do claim that insurance could and should cover it. But my insurance denied my claim. And as we all know, those things are a pain in the butt to figure out. I wish there was a clearer system to do that.

  • Excited at first, but didn't end up working for me. To use the thermometer there are a few exclusion rules or else you can't count the temperature, including: If sick - colds happen often Slept >2 hours more/less than usual - I am a student and during weekday I sleep in and so I can't count it Woke up close to measuring time but went back to sleep Woke up in night and didn't fall back asleep quick enough Among other restrictions, it's just too much stress trying to recall if I can count that night or not. It was also annoying that it can't just automatically sync the temperature without having to go open the app and click the Bluetooth button on the thermometer. Not convenient, I have to constantly think about the birth control and all the hoops. Overall takes far too much thought to make it a routine, and feels more like a chore that maybe works, maybe doesn't that day. I understand the appeal, and great for people who can find a way to integrate it into their life but for me it just wasn't it. I would likely give it 5 stars if I had the wearable option as It does the exclusion for you and sync automatically. However, then I'd have to go purchase an Apple Watch new version. expensive.

  • Finally, a non-hormonal birth control method that's FDA approved! I wish had offered a wearable option as I'm constantly forgetting to pick up the thermometer first thing in the morning.
