Reviews mention

  • Refined, natural-leaning fragrances
  • Gentle, sensitive-skin formulas
  • Smooth, comfortable application
  • Attractive, sustainable packaging
  • Inconsistent odor protection longevity
  • White residue and shirt staining
  • Occasional gritty, sticky texture
  • Body wash sometimes feels drying

Native earns praise for clean ingredients, standout scents (Coconut & Vanilla, Cucumber & Mint, Lilac & White Tea, Citrus & Herbal Musk) and comfortable, non-irritating wear for many, but reviews say performance is inconsistent: the deodorant often fades by midday, struggles in heat/workouts, can leave white residue or shirt stains, and some experience rashes or gritty texture. Reviews of body wash and hair care skew positive for gentle lather and pleasant aromas, though a few find body wash drying and shampoos underwhelming. Overall, Native is a good natural option if you don’t sweat heavily and will reapply; heavy sweaters may need stronger protection.

  • I really love these skincare products because they work well and are made with simple and natural ingredients. I love the body wash and deodorant as they have great scents and really work. This is a great brand that makes clean products that are healthy for your skin and the planet.

  • I bought a $3 deodorant stick at Target because of all of the advertising that Native does. I wanted to know what the hype was about. I'm not "woke". I don't care about aluminum free deodorant. I want things that work. I don't check labels. I pick and choose my battles and deodorant isn't the hill I'm going to die on. I wouldn't know if a deodorant has aluminum or not unless they smash you in the face with it. What I love about native is that they come in cute tiny little packages that can be thrown into a purse or backpack and it takes up two inches. I'm all about that life. I got the coconut one. I don't smell coconuts but I don't smell myself either when I use it. If you're curious about Native, grab one of those little guys at Target. It's worth the $3. Then go from there. Be woke. Make better choices. Don't be like me.

  • Didn't work for me, and you need a deodorant to work. I got the coconut one and I liked the smell of the deodorant but that's not helpful if you smell within a couple hours. TBH I noticed my friend uses Native deodorant and there's some definitely some BO going on there too so it's not just me.

  • Tienen uno de los mejores desodorantes que he probado, me encanta de verdad. Cumple funcion, proteje todo el día y aparte es súper amigable con la piel.

  • The best natural deodorant brand for me so far. It's not perfect, but it works well enough that I keep buying it. I wish the minis came in more scents, though. I don't think the scents need to be gendered -- my favorite is the men's juniper and ginseng. I've also tried their body wash and enjoyed it.

  • I like it, but I don't like the price. It is a huge bummer that the new sustainable packaged options are $10+ .

  • I really like the smells and packaging of this product. Unfortunately, I would find myself needing to apply it 2-3 times per day to remain effective. Might not be a dealbreaker for everyone, but it was for me.

  • I love this brand’s purpose and goal of providing non toxic deodorants but I found that it was not as effective after about an hour. It did not do much to help with odor, but it did help up to an hour or so. Possibly needs to be re-applied often for it to work. I love the coconut and lavender smells just wish they stayed longer! However, again- overall the brand is great!

  • The deodorant really did not work for me, I use a lot of other natural deodorant product and test but this one the stick was always sooooo hard I could barely roll it on and I just couldn't get past coconut smell on me all day. I didn't mind the body was but the deodorant is a no-go from me even though I do appreciate the concept.

  • I have tried A LOT of natural deodorants, and this one works. They have a great range of scents and you wouldn't know it was natural if no one told you. It just works, and if you tried a lot of options out there, you would know they don't all work. I think the less bad chemicals and things we can put onto/into our bodies the better so it's a good start to get off the old deodorants. My only negative is that it still comes in traditional plastic packaging which I try to avoid when I can.

  • Some of this kind of stuff is not great. Like everything is chill and then half way through the day you have to go into a full bathroom stall and like confirm that it’s you who stinks. That sucks. This kept it mild all day and didn’t feel like it like some crunchy stuff that ain’t gonna work. Still use it like years later. Very cool.

  • LOVE THERE DEODORANTS!!!!! Many options, and smells. It lasts and stays intact (smell and feel) compared to most clean brands!

  • Deodorant bar, did not work for me. It was not even a hot day, and at the end of the day it did not protect me.

  • I love their deodorant!!! I have a favorite smell but I don’t want to give it away because it’s that good!!! Very great smells and knowing they’re clean is plus too! It also does work!

  • It’s cool and worth trying. However, I used few times then stop using it after 1 week. Just not excited.

  • Native is the only natural deodorant that I found (after trying several) that kept the odor away for a full day (others I definitely feel like I could smell sweat coming through after a few hours). I like the scent options, and I really love that they don't leave yellow stains or armpit stains on my clothing, unlike most antiperspirant/deodorant combos (though I do still use these with dark clothing if I don't want to sweat, aluminum in these products does not cause cancer!).

I tried to switch to the cardboard packaging for a more sustainable/eco-friendly version, but the design didn't hold up, they were very hard to use. So I ended up switching back to the plastic deodorant cases :(.

  • I LOVE THIS DEODORANT BRAND! My favorite deodorant smells are the vanilla and coconut, and the cedar one. The cedar one is a men’s smell but it’s the best smell ever so I use it anyways! Lol! It actually works for me, and would definitely recommend it, and after a shower it just feels nice + smells gooooood!

  • Great smelling deodorant but does not last a full day of work like some of my other deodorants do

  • i like the recyclable packaging, i wish they would eliminate the plastic option
