Murad Skincare earns mixed-to-positive reviews: its acne line and SPFs often work—clarifying body spray clears back breakouts, Essential-C Toner revives dull skin, and mattifying SPF 50 smooths texture—while several retinol and eye products underwhelm or show no results for some users. Reviews praise lightweight textures, clean finishes, and glow-boosting vitamin C, but note occasional stickiness, dryness from mattifying formulas, eye stinging from SPF, and inconsistent anti-aging outcomes.

I got a sample of this serum from Murad. It has a shimmery finish and adds a glow to my skin. I don’t notice it doing much for my skin over the course of using it. But I have enjoyed the Murad face wash previous which helps with breakouts.

I really like the Murad Essential-C Repair Cream. It feels very light on the skin, has no strong fragrance, and is easy to apply. It absorbs quickly without leaving any greasy residue. My dry skin feels more hydrated, soft, and comfortable after each use. It’s gentle, effective, and perfect for daily care if you want something nourishing but not heavy. Highly recommend

It’s decent but not a favorite. It didn’t leave a white cast on me; however, I am extremely fair skin. It does have a smoother finish that leaves behind a bit of a glow which I attribute to the vitamin c doing what it claims to. I was not very impressed with how long it seemed to take to absorb into my skin without leaving more of an oily feel that sat on top of my skin.

It feels more like a soft, lightweight primer than a heavy sunscreen, which surprised me in a good way. When I apply it, it goes on smoothly, absorbs quickly, and gives my skin a nice matte finish without feeling dry or tight. I have combination skin, and this does a great job keeping the shine away throughout the day, especially in my T-zone area. My pores look more blurred when I wear it, and I notice my makeup applies better on top of it too. The scent in my opinion is subtle, but it's there. It smells clean and slightly herbal, kind of like a soft citrus and tea tree blend, but it fades quickly once it's on my skin. I like it, it makes the application feel more refreshing without being overpowering or like a strong perfume fragrance. The sunscreen didn't irritate my skin at all, which is always a plus for me with scented products. On really hot and humid days, I did notice a bit of shine peeking through by the afternoon, but nothing too bad and I still feel like my skin looks smoother than usual.

I received the Murad Superactive Moisturizer SPF 50 from @influenster and @muradskincare to try out, and I’ve been really impressed. This is hands-down one of the most mattifying sunscreens I’ve tried — perfect for my oily t-zone and combo skin. It smooths skin texture, minimizes the look of pores, and controls shine all day. I love that it’s SPF 50 (a must for outdoor days), and it wears beautifully under makeup without feathering or creasing. The texture is light, blendable, and leaves zero white cast, even on my fair skin. Bonus: the dispenser is super intuitive and reduces waste — no product overload. That said, it can feel a little drying on my cheeks and chin, so I layer it over a hydrating moisturizer in those areas. Overall, this is a fantastic pick for oily or shiny skin types—or anyone looking to simplify their summer skincare with a 3-in-1 SPF, hydrator, and mattifier.

In just 4 days I noticed a difference using two murad creams! I used one for hydration in the AM and a retinol cream in the PM

I have had the retinol night cream about 4 times, I have now run out. And right now im using the retinol youth renewal serum. I would say this brand is very expensive and after four pots of the retinol I can’t tell you it’s anything that special. I know I could get something a lot cheaper doing the same thing, I bought it as it’s always on sale at the aesthetics clinics. I mean I like it but it’s not worth the money in all fairness

I tried out the hydro-dynamic ultimate moisture for eyes and honestly it did nothing for me. I got it because someone recommended it to me. This is just not meant for me but it worked for my friend. The over all it’s nice package and it doesn’t have weird smell to it.

The new Murad Resurgence Retinal Re Sculpt overnight Treatment is a wonder. I started using retinols years ago starting with Murad’s Youth Serum, which was a perfect starter. After many brands and years later I have circled back to his new ReSculpt, which claims to help sagging skin etc. I rolled my eyes but bought one. Need I say Murad put magic in that bottle. He really delivers with retinal based treatment. After 4 weeks I am amazed.

I have tested Murad Products and I absolutely love them they are actually part of my skincare routine. I have tried The Rapid Dark spot correcting serum it doesn't irritate my skin it feel so smooth at the end. And I also tried the Retinol youth renewal serum I used it only twice a week it just because I wanted to make sure it won't cause any irritation but I will definitely use it more since it works for me.

Omf!! If u haven’t use Murad idk the hell u doing there acne products are amazin just like there sunscreen

Murad Skincare is absolutely fantastic! Their products are high-quality and deliver real results. From their cleansers to serums, each product leaves my skin feeling refreshed, hydrated, and visibly smoother. I’ve noticed a significant improvement in my skin’s texture and clarity since using their line. The formulas are gentle yet effective, and I love how they cater to different skin concerns. Murad has quickly become one of my go-to skincare brands, and I highly recommend it!
The Acne Control Clarifying Body Spray is great. I purchased this when I was having a lot of breakouts on my back and it really helped to clear them up. I would use it after showering and wait to get dressed until after the spray had dried on my skin. It made my skin a tad bit sticky, but I wouldn't recommend touching an acne-prone area anyways. It's great that this can be sprayed at any angle with the bottle right-side up, upside down, or even sideways. It's the type of product that you don't need to use every day, but helps if you're having a breakout. I've also used the clarifying acne cleanser and it works well but wasn't life-changing in the same way that the body spray was. I've never purchased on the brand's site, only at Sephora so can't comment on the customer experience.

Their products are really worth it. You have sensitive or acne skin, you should try the "orange" products line because it works really well on my skin.
I love Murad skincare products! Very effective!
I love cosmeceutical skincare and Murad is one of my favorites. I love their beautiful and minimalistic packaging. Their vitamin c serum applies nicely on my skin and I saw my pigmentation fading. It gives a nice boost of hydration.
Tried the new Retinal Rescult Body Cream and it okay. Very expensive and didn't have results. They used to have an amazing lotion/moisturizer that was discontinued that actually was effective. Hoping they bring it back.
I received these products complimentary from Murad. The night cream is a nurturing retinol night cream that visibly improves firmness and radiance, minimizes lines and deep wrinkles, evens tone, and intensely hydrates. I noticed a firmer, more supple skin with a really nice glow. I use this at nighttime. The overnight treatment helped the fine lines around my mouth. It smoothed the appearance of deep-set wrinkles and crepey skin. I even put some on my neck at night. This one is my absolute favorite. I love all Murad products, and this is a brand I will have in my life for a very long time.
I used to use their basic moisturizer. It was a very nice product, but I have since found many better more moisturizing facial lotions out there.
I want to love Murad’s retinol products, but after a year of use I just don’t see any results. I was using the Resurgsnce retinol face serum, eye serum, and face lotion. Was ready to throw in the towel after about 6 months, and then they introduced a new “retinal” (notice spelling) product that was supposed to be even better. It costs a fortune — about $100 bottle — and their various discounts can’t be used for this product. Their web site photos show modest yet noticeable results, which unfortunately was not my experience. Murad is very coy about the actual percentage of retinol in their products: questions in reviews are answered vaguely. I don’t know why they don’t disclose the percentage, but given the lack of results (for me), I do wonder if their reticence is due to a low percentage.
