Murad Skincare Reviews

4.3

Murad Skincare earns mixed-to-positive reviews: its acne line and SPFs often work—clarifying body spray clears back breakouts, Essential-C Toner revives dull skin, and mattifying SPF 50 smooths texture—while several retinol and eye products underwhelm or show no results for some users. Reviews praise lightweight textures, clean finishes, and glow-boosting vitamin C, but note occasional stickiness, dryness from mattifying formulas, eye stinging from SPF, and inconsistent anti-aging outcomes.

  • I got a sample of this serum from Murad. It has a shimmery finish and adds a glow to my skin. I don’t notice it doing much for my skin over the course of using it. But I have enjoyed the Murad face wash previous which helps with breakouts.

  • I received the Murad Superactive Moisturizer SPF 50 from @influenster and @muradskincare to try out, and I’ve been really impressed. This is hands-down one of the most mattifying sunscreens I’ve tried — perfect for my oily t-zone and combo skin. It smooths skin texture, minimizes the look of pores, and controls shine all day. I love that it’s SPF 50 (a must for outdoor days), and it wears beautifully under makeup without feathering or creasing. The texture is light, blendable, and leaves zero white cast, even on my fair skin. Bonus: the dispenser is super intuitive and reduces waste — no product overload. That said, it can feel a little drying on my cheeks and chin, so I layer it over a hydrating moisturizer in those areas. Overall, this is a fantastic pick for oily or shiny skin types—or anyone looking to simplify their summer skincare with a 3-in-1 SPF, hydrator, and mattifier.

  • I really like the Murad Essential-C Repair Cream. It feels very light on the skin, has no strong fragrance, and is easy to apply. It absorbs quickly without leaving any greasy residue. My dry skin feels more hydrated, soft, and comfortable after each use. It’s gentle, effective, and perfect for daily care if you want something nourishing but not heavy. Highly recommend

  • It’s decent but not a favorite. It didn’t leave a white cast on me; however, I am extremely fair skin. It does have a smoother finish that leaves behind a bit of a glow which I attribute to the vitamin c doing what it claims to. I was not very impressed with how long it seemed to take to absorb into my skin without leaving more of an oily feel that sat on top of my skin.
