  • Smooth-writing gel pens
  • Thoughtful minimalist design
  • Durable storage organizers
  • Calming in-store atmosphere
  • Boxy apparel fits
  • Occasional pen smudging
  • Inconsistent clothing quality
  • Flimsy cleaning tools

Muji earns strong reviews as a minimalist one‑stop shop that works well for stationery, storage, and home basics—its 0.36–0.5 gel pens, notebooks, diffusers, and modular organizers draw consistent praise for smooth performance, thoughtful design, and longevity. Reviews also flag drawbacks: clothing can fit boxy or feel mid‑quality, some items (especially certain home goods) feel overpriced, pens may smudge or skip, and online selection/UX lags, making in‑store experiences distinctly better.

  • I feel very lucky to live in NYC where there are so many Muji stores. Muji is my go to for storage solutions. Everything they do is designed so thoughtfully and simple. No fluff or fuss, jjst beautifully designed minimal products.

  • I love Muji. I am currently using their Cut Cotton Squares for my nighttime skin routine. They are soft on the skin, cute, and the unbleached fibers add a natural look to any bathroom counter. Muji's stores are also great! I enjoy walking through the space to look at all of the items. I've even bought a raincoat once, during a storm.

This is a great brand if you are looking for simple but elegant home goods or office supplies.

  • I love Muji but their supply chain seems quite unreliable. I particularly like their home organization items. I bought a bunch of their plastic drawers to organize my office and I love them. They are light but sturdy and look great.

    Feedback

Definitely assortment and consistency on their availability. They run out of things super quickly and some never come back. You have to get what you can when its available, which I don't appreciate! The shipping costs are also quite high when it comes to bigger items like furniture.

  • I bought XXL green linen pants from here and I loved them so much. I wore them on a trip to west Africa and they were perfect for the hot weather but also dressing modestly. Definitely needed to be gently hand washed. But sweat was clearly visible when wearing them.

  • High quality. Great price point! I'm a huge fan of Muji stationary especially. This is my go-to set up! The A5 Kraft cover, dot & grid pages, the Smooth gel ink Ballpoint pen Kock type 0.3 Black & the transparent sticky notes!

  • I am a huge fan of Muji, specifically Muji stationary. I love the wide variety of pens and pencils that you can buy and all of the different point sizes. My favorite point size is the 0.38 which comes in so many colors and is super hard to find anywhere else. I adore the look of the pens as well as the feel. The pens write so smoothly and the points never dull. I love to use them for notetaking, or annotating books. I have no Muji close buy so I unfortunately am only able to shop there when I travel but I always make room to bring stuff from Muji back home.

  • Okay, I know this is a bit niche. However, if you’re a pen person… Run, Don’t walk. If Muji ever goes out a business, my first order a business will be ordering a lifetime supply of Muji Gel Ink Pen 0.38MM pens. If you’re a student or like lawyer ( jobs that write a lot?) you need to experience these pens.

Not cheap, but ALWAYS worth and they last forever.

  • Muji is my go to for almost anything. Pens, stationary, storage - You name it, they've got it.

    Feedback

The quality of anything from the clothing section is pretty run of the mill.

  • Love Muji Pens. What I most like is the smooth writing experience, the ink flow reduces skips and smudges. They come in a variety of ink colors that are quick-drying, but my favorite is the black one.

  • All my cleaning products are from Muji and I love how interchangeable and multipurpose their products are. I use their scrub, broom and mop stick interchangeably which fits my minimal, aesthetic!

  • Produtos de muito boa qualidade, recomendo a todos que gostem de variedades em peças e produtos plásticos bem acabados e seguros .!

    Influencer for Muji
  • What Muji is and what Muji stands for seems so obvious and essential that I imagine it simply always existing like the elements: air, fire, water, earth…Japanese minimal home goods. In the pantheon of stuff, Muji stuff is the flat-design icon set for all the other stuff. In the impossible task of organizing everything Muji is your bossy ally telling you that there is a better way which you stubbornly resist because you are totally wedded to your own idiosyncrasies. Stop it. Put that sack of hammers down. Buy the Muji stuff. Take it home. Use it as intended or use it for some other purpose. That purpose will be hoisted above the heads of the other purposes to crowd surf their silly fanboy ardor for your purpose. The best of the goods: men’s blazer, a lightweight, stretchy, single-breasted sweatshirt comfy enough to sleep in around the house and sharp enough to sleep in at the office. Aluminum boxes, all right angles and a soft-touch skin pressed from fog that has billowed among successful tech ventures. Wooden trays, buy them so your other belongings can be stars of long running shows on tiny stages of refined wood and perfect proportion. No item should ever sit on any other surface without the benefit of an elegant intermediate muji tray. Walk past the seductive pull of the stationery island. You write things down with such increasing infrequency. And using metric sizes of paper is, today, practically a political speech act. Is that your hill to climb? The impulse-buy foods are also missable. Unless you like your marshmallows to have the wrong texture, let them stay at muji. The bedding does not fit your bed unless you ordered it from a dotjaypee. Who knows maybe you did. Respect. The borosilicate teapots are the perfect (only?) vessel to showcase a Japanese “performance tea” which, as you know, is like a chrysanthemum lava lamp you can drink. In closing, a mephor of summation: Muji is a relevant and constructive comment without any errors of spelling, grammar or fact left by a responsible and respectful person on the internet with both insight and good intentions.

  • Bought some jeans in Japan and then again in New York because they’re such good quality. They have an amazing innovative design too where you can easily add or subtract two inches from the waist, without the cheap elastic look (5’6” in size 30 jeans)

  • A good brand to buy aesthetic home products. Everything has a very minimal style and the products are of good quality. The kitchen products are very beautiful and will make an excellent impression on any guests. The bathroom products are also very cute and aesthetic.

  • Muji is a great brand that sells a lot of different products and they are eco-responsible. Their products are of good quality at good prices. I prefer to go in their shop to see the products but the website is just as good. I will continue to shop with them.

  • I had the pleasure of visiting and shopping at a MUJI store while visiting family in NYC. I bought a few of their TPU and EVA clear cases to store toiletries in my personal item when flying. The cases are very roomy, meet flight guidelines, are leak proof and durable, and are overall good quality. Muji also carry great tasting snacks.

    Feedback

I wish Muji offered more sizes for the TPU cases like they used to.

  • Lots of things to love about muji... but the best thing is their pens. hands down. the best.

    Feedback

    With their pens? Nothing.

  • really nice stuff. sometimes overpriced. but i swear by their pens

  • Love love love the stationary and the snacks. Hope to try more products in the future such as their skincare line.
