  • Elegant, luxurious packaging
  • Creamy, blendable formulations
  • Natural, dewy finish
  • Foolproof, minimalist routine
  • Sheer, short-lasting color
  • Occasional fragile packaging
  • Limited, inconsistent shade range
  • Can emphasize dryness, texture

MERIT earns strong reviews as a minimalist makeup brand that delivers natural, dewy, skin-like results with elegant packaging and foolproof, blendable formulas—especially standouts like the Flush Balm blush, Minimalist Complexion Stick, Bronze Balm, Day Glow, and Shade Slick lip oil. Reviews also flag weaknesses: sheer color and shorter wear, products emphasizing dryness or texture on some skin types, inconsistent shade range for fair and deeper undertones, packaging quirks (sticks breaking, messy pumps), and a mascara that reads too subtle for some.

  • I've used two of their lip oils, their blending brush and their 1980 Brow Pomade. Really liked all of them. Their brow product is my fave by far (and is better in my opinion than Boy Brow!)

I think some color inclusivity might be great for them.

  • The foundation stick allows for the easiest, quickest application. The formula blends evenly and sets flawlessly. This product has truly allowed me a mindless makeup routine that makes me feel better. Plus, the stick lasts ages!

It’s hard for me to color match usually, but I was lucky that the first shade I tried worked perfectly.

  • This review is specifically for the highlighter, which I purchased while trying to find a replacement for a previous holy grail highlighter from a brand that folded. Merit’s highlighting balm was the first one that hit the mark! I love the dewy texture and the fine shimmer, and I especially love that the color Cava has no gold tint or shimmer to it (super hard to find one that doesn’t!). Anyway, I will keep repurchasing this one over and over.

  • I have the merit brush, bronze balm and lip oil in marrakech. I used the bronze balm as a contour stick for a while because I prefer something sheer and buildable for contour instead of anything too harsh. Loved it for a while but realized it’s a bit too warm-toned for contour. I use the brush the blend it out and it works great. The lip oil no complaints, it has a nice texture but I prefer the kosas lip oil so wont be repurchasing.

  • As a professional MUA, I’m always on the lookout for products that marry performance with clean formulations — and MERIT Beauty has truly impressed me on both fronts. The brand’s minimalist philosophy doesn’t sacrifice quality; in fact, it elevates it.

  • I really enjoy the Merit blushes! The formula is incredibly blendable, and the shade range is impressive. While this isn't my main blush, I love to keep these in my bags for quick touch-ups on the go. They’re perfect for travel, as they’re easy to apply and help maintain that fresh look throughout the day. If you're looking for a reliable blush to take with you, I highly recommend giving Merit a try!

  • Beautiful packaging, easy to use and blend, fantastic for those with busy lifestyle, if you love effortless, minimal coverage ‘no make up’ make up this one is definitely for you.

  • I tried their perfecting stick and it’s everything I was looking for, coming from someone who loves a natural makeup look. It’s buildable, easy to blend, has good coverage, and a staple in my quick makeup days!

  • I have been using the minimalist perfecting stick for 4 months now, so far I'm liking it. Its a little pricy but worth the money. I like the shade match and the shade options they have, the formula is good for dry to normal skin. I would definitely like to try other products from the brand.

  • Merit is the best! I have very sensitive, eczema prone skin, and Merit is one of the only makeup brands that works for me. I have the bronzer, highlighter, blush, brush, concealer, and lip oil and love them all. The packaging is beautiful as well.

  • I own a few products from merit and I love how they are travel-friendly and a clean brand. The minimalist perfecting stick truly melts into your skin and provides buildable coverage that looks natural. I gave this a rating of 4 because I do find that it separates on my skin throughout the day, especially on my nose.

  • I love the tinted lip oil! I recently bought it and cannot stop reapplying it. I just got the shade sheer natural and next i’m getting sheer red! highly recommend

  • I recently got the bronzing stick and it’s been a game changer for my makeup. For someone who’s not the best at doing makeup, the stick made it so easy for me to get into contouring. It blends so easily, looks beautiful, and is buildable so you can’t go too dark too quickly.

  • really love their branding and aesthetic but their mascara and lip oil is mediocre at best. the lip oil has a nice feel but have to reapply so often as the color fades away so quickly

  • The lipsticks make you want to own them all, as the sheer tints are perfectly balmy and come in the chicest packaging. Indulge in the skin glow primer to get a burst of juicy illumination on your face.

  • There is nothing like the complexion stick! As someone with incredibly sensitive and breakout prone skin, it is so important to me that the product I am using has safe ingredients and can still get the job done. Since switching to this stick my skin has improved so much. There are so many shades, and often I mix and match a few depending on the season. Their first drop was a much smaller amount of product, but they addressed that and now its better than ever. I never want to stop using their complexion stick.

  • I have the concealer and the blush. Such good products. Melts into the skin. Love them.

  • I have the brow brush and clear lip gloss, and I absolutely love them both. I like how streamlined and natural-looking their products are and can't wait to buy more.
