LMNT earns strong reviews for genuinely improving hydration, energy, and workout recovery, though its aggressively salty taste polarizes. Reviews praise zero sugar, science-based electrolyte ratios, convenient travel-ready packets, and standout flavors like Citrus Salt, Raspberry, Watermelon, and Mango Chili, but note an often harsh saltiness, mixed reactions to chocolate and spicy varieties, and a desire for a tub format.

I am obsessed with LMNT. I first heard about it from my dietitian, and now I have spread the word to my family and friends. I drink at least one every single day, especially while traveling. I no longer have to get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. I also think the flavors are so good - I'm partial to Citrus Salt and Orange Salt. Highly recommend getting the mixed pack to see which flavor is best to you!
For a not-so-avid water drinker, I came to LMNT with the goal of improving my daily hydration. And, for the most part, I can say it has helped! The biggest thing I noticed when using LMNT was how much better my body was absorbing and holding water. Normally, I’d have to use the bathroom frequently when drinking water, but I find that with LMNT, I’m going less and less. This helps keep me hydrated and makes me feel like I’m not wasting all the water I drink. I do think the product is a bit expensive for what is offered. I understand that the electrolyte combination is effective, but a part of me is considering making a batch at home using the same ingredients, which are not hard to find—nor are they expensive. For a product this simple, it’s not too difficult. This doesn’t mean you should avoid the product—it just means that if you’re not looking to use LMNT long term, it may be better to make it yourself. Unlike a lot of the reviews I’ve seen, I don’t think the flavors are that special. My favorite is either the raspberry or watermelon, with citrus close by. The other “special” flavors aren’t that great. Basically, I can’t say I’m blown away by any of them—but yet again, we’re drinking salt here, so. I think LMNT is a great place to start for people looking to up their hydration game. It’s straightforward to use, tastes good, and does what it says it’s supposed to do. With some more flavors—or refinements to the current ones—and maybe a cheaper option (like a tub instead of individual packets), this would be an excellent product!

LMNT is not for everyone... but no successful brand is! LMNT is the definition of 'product-market fit' in my mind. They know their consumer -- one who cares about athletic performance, health, and achieving specific dietary goals (often keto or fasting) -- and LMNT is the ideal electrolyte powder for them. This consumer LOVES the saltiness and ritualizes it as part of their routine for energy and optimization (salt is good for you but low-key addicting, there's a reason salt was traded for gold historically!)> This brand and product just work for their target consumer base. And while I'm not always part of it, I definitely am now that I've picked up working out intensely again. I don't subscribe to many products online... LMNT is one of the few!
I live in Texas. So, sweating is a natural posture. Because I also love to work out and hike and be outside, glugging water can still not be enough. I love LMNT's ingredient panel. Taste is great. Gatorade without the yuck.

My only issue is branding-wise – can we get a starkly, dude-forward branding? I think this product could be beneficial to so many people. I was recommended it by breast-feeding mamas! I'd love to see it approach it from a less Crossfit-esque corner
Big drink girl over here! I love a beverage or ten but have really been trying to focus on cutting back to just water. LMNT has been a great way to add some variety while giving my body the electrolytes it need. It is on the salty side but I don't mind because I feel a noticeable different in my energy levels when I use it compared to some other electrolyte brands I've tried. I'd recommend their variety pack as an intro so you can figure out which you like the most. The watermelon flavor is a favorite of mine!

The only electrolyte supplement that actually has a science backed ratio of sodium, potassium, and magnesium. Plus the no added sugar is a major plus. If I need carbs for a workout, I can get it from a more reliable source, not added cane sugar. Love the individual packets and they're super convenient when traveling. My only small criticism is I wish they sold a tub / container version for home use so I can scoop it out instead of ripping through individual packets. Besides that, it's my go to hydration supplement!! Stay Salty :P
Honestly loved it, very good when feel dehydrated.

The flavor options were a little limited. I did watermelon salt but only because the other flavors didn’t sound great.
LMNT is my current favorite of the hydration powder products (LiquidIV, Hydrant, etc.). The nutritional profile is excellent and I appreciate that it's sodium-based rather than sugar-based to reduce any spikes in energy. Great for after / during high-intensity workouts.

First - delicious. My favorites are the Mango Chili, the Chocolate varieties, and the raspberry, though I haven't disliked any of them. Now to what really matters. I've been using LMNT for 3 years or so, and in my case it's not for workout stress, rather for stress-related health reasons. I didn't know before reading about LMNT that the BALANCE of salts in your system could be the cause of water retention and elevated blood pressure. I can't say the same will happen for everyone, but in my case: I've now got off the blood pressure medicine, I'm no longer waking with leg cramps every night, and I don't retain water anymore, all because my electrolytes are balanced. I've been taking 1/3 - 1/2 of a packet of LMNT a little while before bed most nights, and my sleep has greatly improved. Someone else close to me has had a sudden and tragic loss, and I've given her a supply of LMNT and she's no longer waking with leg cramps either. Early on, I gave my doctor the info from LMNT to read because he was quite skeptical, not having heard of the product at that time, but it works and makes sense to him. He's on board provided I keep testing my BP on a regular basis and don't overuse it for my personal level of activity. I am feeling so much better overall and am happy to be off that prescription. One last note - when I recently messed up my order frequency, the representative who helped me was very helpful so I have continued trust in their integrity. I feel very sorry for the person whose review I just read, whose order must have gone astray! I hope they give LMNT a chance to figure it out. Whatever went wrong for the person who was recently deployed without the order having been received, I truly hope they can give this company another try.

Love this - not only do they work great for a workout, they also work great for someone looking to find an alternative to a sweet beverage as they lean sweet despite having no sugar!

We're big fans in our household! Hits the spot when I'm really thirsty and no extra crap. Gives me the sugar fix I need from a soda or a sports drink, but I don't have to feel guilty about it. My husband thinks salt is the hottest new thing, while I'm a little skeptical that our level of workouts actually require this kind of salt intake, but he believes! It's also really great when you're sick. And they're delicious! My fave flavor is the watermelon.

Mango Chili is so good!

The only actual electrolyte drink where I can tell a difference! Its helped me stay hydrated and not feel like I’m dying of thirst by the end of the night. Great first thing in the morning or to drink during/after workouts. All the flavors are awesome, but raspberry, watermelon, and grapefruit are my favorites.

DrinkLMNT makes it super difficult to cancel your membership. Were it not for this I would give a better review. I support businesses who use transparency and honesty in how they market. They claim to have a “live chat” feature but non exists on their website. I tried “pausing” my subscription (the only option they provide is to pause for 3 months) and they still billed my credit card. Disappointed.

The hot chocolate ones!! I love these, they are like a salty chocolate treat that is amazing yet somehow well-balanced for hydration and no sugar. They taste great in coffee or even by themselves. I'm still testing out the other flavors for cooler water - its harder to get past the saltiness for me with those, but I think you just have to work to find the right ratio for yourself.
