Reviews mention

  • Noticeably fast hydration boost
  • Convenient travel-ready packets
  • Wide, crowd-pleasing flavors
  • Mixes easily in cold water
  • Overly sweet, sometimes salty taste
  • High sugar and sodium content
  • Occasional thick, gritty texture
  • Inconsistent flavor enjoyment

Liquid I.V. earns strong reviews for fast, noticeable hydration—especially after workouts, travel, heat, and hangovers—while convenient single-serve packets and broad flavor variety (Lemon Lime, Strawberry, Passion Fruit, Watermelon, Golden Cherry) stand out. However, many reviews flag overly sweet, sometimes salty flavors, a “thick” mouthfeel, undissolved grit, and high sugar/sodium; some prefer diluting with more water or the newer sugar‑free line, and a few question ingredient “cleanliness” or effectiveness versus competitors.

  • I love this stuff. Tastes good and works to rehydrate and get you feeling good after a hard workout or even just prolonged time in the sun. There isn’t a week that goes by that I don’t use a sachet in my water or drink.

I beg Liquid I.V. to offer their product in recyclable or compostable bulk packaging. The many packets model makes sense when you’re on the go, but I cringe every time I throw away one of these single use packages. Just give us a big pot of this stuff option. :)

  • For something that’s marketed as “healthy” it is certainly extremely high in sugar, contains natural flavors, and other additives and stabilizers that make me question what about it is healthy. This is one of those last resort things you take when you’re hungover and there’s nothing else to save you from yourself. I’ve tried a few different flavors and unless you’re diluting it in 64oz of water or more it tastes like you’re drinking kool aid. There are much better brands on the market that do better and are less harmful to your body.

Remove all the chemicals and natural flavors from your product

  • Not super into the flavor of these…reminds me of melted jello or medicine. Would rather just drink water.

  • I love packets over bottled electrolyte drinks! It is a more sustainable option and easier for on-the-go travel. My favorite flavors are the tried and true lemon lime and acai berry! I also love using these because the sugar content is lower than alternative electrolyte drinks!

  • Good flavors and always coming out with seasonal flavors so keeps it interesting. Mainly use them after a night out.

  • Very sugary, but extremely effective and tasty. A must-have before a night out. Buy now and thank yourself later.

    Lower sugar option

  • This was highly recommended when my toddler wouldn't drink the other brands. They have good flavor options, and my son liked it diluted a bit.

  • as a middle aged mom i was advised to use this when i went away with a group of college kids. i wanted to drink but didn't want to feel hung over the next morning. I popped one of these before bed and i woke up feeling great the next morning where i would have otherwise been hung over. They also taste really good. I also used them when i felt like i hadn't' drank enough water. They were great for preventing hangovers but they're pricy, for regular electrolyte usage i would just buy propel or something similar

    The price

  • I bought a Costco size box of the Liquid I.V. And although I finished the whole box, I found them to be overly sweet/salty. I actually looked at the ingredients and there was so much sodium in a serving size that I found myself swollen after drinking them.

Great concept + packaging. Tasty enough to make me drink more water, but not worth the calories and sodium.

  • I love drinking these after a night out or before drinking in the sun! They help prevent dehydration + headaches for me personally

    Nothing

  • I drink these every time before I go out drinking and the morning after. I got the giant pack at Costco. I'm not sure how effective they actually are. It's the fact I'm just drinking more water or a placebo. I figure it doesn't hurt to drink them and they don't taste very bad.

They're good but extremely sweet. I think if you don't drink often they aren't worth it and you'd be better off going with a Pedialyte though.

  • Great concept, its been super helpful for non-alcohol-related sicknesses like the flu or food poisoning. I believe they have ones specifically for energy too like matcha and great for when you're out in the sun all day!

I have learned to not drink this specifically to avoid hangovers... I would have a glass of water + pineapple liquid IV 30 minutes before drinking and I threw it all up the same night with the salty powdery aftertaste lingering in my mouth. Another time, I woke up with a hangover and drank a glass of liquid IV, and threw it up before I could even feel relieved of the pain.

  • I like the concept, but the powder smells linger in the air a long time

  • Finally I can feel hydrated. I suck at drinking water regularly so this product is great.

    Feedback

I had the watermelon flavor and it did not taste like watermelon, rather it tasted like the outside of a watermelon.

  • Not a fan of the flavors but it does help with hydration. Also available almost everywhere so that’s also convenient.

  • Very sugary but a great way to rehydrate after a big workout. Watermelon is a great flavor!

  • I use liquid IVs religiously because i never drink water and it helps so much.

I wish they tasted a little better

  • A nice boost to my drinks - still have more flavors to try. Nice to be able to have these on hand and add to water versus stocking up other similar products.

I find the flavors to be very strong - I often double the water for my mixes . A little less sugar would be preferred
