Reviews mention

  • Noticeably fast hydration boost
  • Convenient travel-ready packets
  • Wide, crowd-pleasing flavors
  • Mixes easily in cold water
  • Overly sweet, sometimes salty taste
  • High sugar and sodium content
  • Occasional thick, gritty texture
  • Inconsistent flavor enjoyment

Liquid I.V. earns strong reviews for fast, noticeable hydration—especially after workouts, travel, heat, and hangovers—while convenient single-serve packets and broad flavor variety (Lemon Lime, Strawberry, Passion Fruit, Watermelon, Golden Cherry) stand out. However, many reviews flag overly sweet, sometimes salty flavors, a “thick” mouthfeel, undissolved grit, and high sugar/sodium; some prefer diluting with more water or the newer sugar‑free line, and a few question ingredient “cleanliness” or effectiveness versus competitors.

  • This stuff is a life saver. I got a stomach bug in Mexico and boom this helped me get through the trip until I could get proper treatment for parasites at home. I got dehydrated on a desert camping trip and boom this allowed me to walk again. Rough day where I forgot to drink enough water and boom thank you for restoring me from my mistake. It’s easy and packs a punch.

  • Amazing quality and really great tasting flavors. Very effective and works as described

  • Too sugary for me. Love the electrolytes but the taste was just too sweet

  • Great branding and product overall. I’ve tried a lot of the flavors and they all have been delicious. Pro tip: use a cocktail shaker to make your liquid IV for the best consistency. I rebuy this product again and again to drink while at work, after a night out, or during a workout.

  • I use these all the time, I work a labor job and these are a life saver. Especially on hot days, they give me good electrolytes and I don't leave work feeling exhausted.

  • Liquid IV has a great taste and a variety of flavor options. It’s not gritty or too mineral tasting. Personally I like the sugar free white peach flavor. It’s one of the best and it doesn’t have a “sugar free” after taste.

  • Good at its job, but sugary. Once I tried LMNT, it was game over for me. Also a bit expensive, and I don't really like any of the flavors

  • I thought their mission was super awesome when I first encountered them at a festival. They were handing out free drink packs to help keep people hydrated because we were in 30 degree Celsius heat. Love the mission of it and very easy to use.

  • Overall, great flavor and easy to drop into a bottle of water. My friends swear by it when they're hungover and we always pack it with us for bachelor parties, weddings, or big birthday trips.

  • Super easy to pack for hikes and vacations when you know you're going to need some help. It's easy to pack into a daypack and I haven't had any of them explode *but please still pack carefully* Friends also swear by them the morning after a long night of drinking. Small enough to get through TSA and is a nice way to help you rebalance after long flights. Would recommend.

  • Incredible for travel. Absolutely essential!

  • One of the best electrolytes I have found, with lovely flavors and easy-to-use packaging for travel and everyday use.

  • Used to be amazing but idk what happened. There are other brands now that taste better with same hydration effects and for cheaper.

  • I don't think it's really worth the price point! There are much healthier options.

  • I've had Liquid IV a few times and I don't love the flavors but I do feel that it helps with hydration. It can be a bit chalky if you don't use enough water or shake it well enough. Nice for after a night out drinking but I wouldn't drink it beyond that.

  • Are you a water-forgetter like me? You know, the type who suddenly realizes it's 4 pm and you haven't had a drop all day? These little hydration miracle packets are my secret weapon. Half a packet of this stuff is all it takes to transform my day from "woah, it's 4 pm" to "woah, I'm actually drinking water!" But hey, a word of advice: don't go overboard. I made that mistake once and felt like my body was going into overdrive – not the greatest feeling. Oh, and here's the kicker – these packets were a lifesaver on my month-long trip to Rome. I stashed a few in my carry-on, and they were my hydration heroes on those long transatlantic flights. They kept me feeling refreshed without constantly running to the restroom. So, if you're like me and need a little nudge to stay hydrated, grab these gems at Whole Foods and change your hydration game!

  • Liquid IV Strawberry flavor is a delicious and convenient way to stay hydrated and replenish electrolytes. The taste is refreshing and genuinely captures the essence of ripe strawberries, making it enjoyable to drink. It's a fantastic choice for anyone looking to boost their hydration levels, especially after physical activity or on hot days. However, my only reservation is that the strawberry flavor can be quite sweet, so it may not suit those who prefer a more subtle taste. Nevertheless, it's an effective and convenient product for maintaining proper hydration levels, and the added bonus of vitamin C is a nice touch. Overall, Liquid IV Strawberry is a tasty and efficient way to keep yourself well-hydrated.

  • Great for travel! I love taking Liquid IV with me on trips. I fill my water bottle up before takeoff and end up with less water retention and more energy by the time I land than with just plain water. I also use it for mornings after a night out, after a workout, and just when I want a sweet treat. The strawberry are by far my favorite. Luckily my Costco carries it too so I can get it in bulk.

  • Although I love the concept, I've found that Liquid I.V. is not my favorite of the exectrolyte drink mixes on the market. They lean fairly sweet, which can be a little offputting. I'm very happy with the electrolyte content, but have found myself turning to Nuun with it comes to taste and portability.
