Reviews mention

  • Noticeably fast hydration boost
  • Convenient travel-ready packets
  • Wide, crowd-pleasing flavors
  • Mixes easily in cold water
  • Overly sweet, sometimes salty taste
  • High sugar and sodium content
  • Occasional thick, gritty texture
  • Inconsistent flavor enjoyment

Liquid I.V. earns strong reviews for fast, noticeable hydration—especially after workouts, travel, heat, and hangovers—while convenient single-serve packets and broad flavor variety (Lemon Lime, Strawberry, Passion Fruit, Watermelon, Golden Cherry) stand out. However, many reviews flag overly sweet, sometimes salty flavors, a “thick” mouthfeel, undissolved grit, and high sugar/sodium; some prefer diluting with more water or the newer sugar‑free line, and a few question ingredient “cleanliness” or effectiveness versus competitors.

  • Used this when I was sick and it did wonders for keeping me hydrated! I usually would reach for electrolyte drinks but this makes it so much easier to store and keep handy in case of emergencies!

  • I love the liquid IV flavors and the convenience. The packets are easy for on the go, and relatively inexpensive. It would be great if they came out with a few more sugar free flavors.

  • It didn’t wow me but it also didn’t disappoint. I think it is on the sweet side but I enjoy sweet tasting things. I would try it again but, I think it’s a bit expensive.

  • Feeling hydrated is hard for me, and these do the trick. I love using them after tough workouts.

  • LIFESAVER!!! Thank god for liquid IV's. A staple have in my house. A must have for all trips, especially bachelorette gift bags!!

  • Liquid IV is a go-to in my house for electrolytes as we train for races, recover from tough workouts and (rough) hangovers. Tastes delicious and always makes me and my partner feel better!

  • I have dysautonomia and rely on electrolyte mixes to help mitigate my symptoms on a regular basis. Liquid IV is effective, though not the best on the market. (I prefer DripDrop, and many Potsies prefer LMFT.) The flavors are oversweet for my taste and have an odd aftertaste. That said, it's better than drinking a sports drink or just downing a salt packet. Solid 3.5/5, rounded up to a 4.

  • I love the strawberry flavor. It really helps with hydration especially while my. Biking in the dry desert air of Utah.

  • Liquid IV is a hangover game-changer.🤤 The electrolyte drink mix swiftly replenishes fluids and essential nutrients, combating the aftermath of a night out!!!! it’s the convenient single-serving packets make it easy to rehydrate on the go for me. It not only helps alleviate dehydration but also provides a quick energy boost- hello double wammy!! If you've overindulged and need a speedy recovery, Liquid IV is a reliable ally for bouncing back after a night of festivities — strawberry slaps!

  • The flavors are good and aren’t salty. The citrus are better than other flavors. Some of the other flavors are too sweet. A little pricey but reasonable.

  • So good for hydrating efficiently (i.e., cramming in water). It's flavorful but has this tiny bit of saltiness/minerality that almost makes you drink it faster in bigger gulps bc reminds you that you're thirsty. I notice my hangovers much more smoothly subside when I drink this the next day... So very successful product imo

  • I've had pretty much all of the flavors of Liquid I.V. and I'm not overly impressed, especially at the price point. First, I'll say that the Lemon Lime Hydration Multiplier is probably the best flavor that I've had - it's the one I lean on the most. However, I rarely purchase this because it's so expensive for the product you get. I don't think that I felt a significant difference between my pre- and post- Liquid IV hydration and I'm not sure how much I attribute that to the fact that you're mixing this with water anyway. I've been lucky enough to have these given to me plenty of times, but I really don't think I would ever purchase on my own.

  • This is great after working out! I always feel so weak and dehydrated but Essie Roy get the energy back with Liquid IV!

  • Liquid IV is the only electrolyte I have tried outside of Gatorade. I feel like it does help rehydrate after a night out or after traveling.

  • Liquid I.V. Drink mixes are an easy way to increase your water intake. I have been using them for years and really do enjoy them. Lemon lime is by far my favorite flavor. I gave this 4 stars because it is very sweet and strong if you put the entire packet in the recommended amount of water. I have found that using a quarter to a half of the packet in twice the amount of water gives the perfect flavor.

  • I use this product a lot, especially during the summer or after a night out. I wish there was less added sugar, but other than that I love it.

  • Bought them when they first came and recently got a sample of the latest one from my FabFitFun box. Not each flavor is the same, but if you are hung over, this is the trick. I feel like this a convenient pack to have in your medicine cabinet or in your getaway bag. They do expire, so take note when purchasing them. Also, would not recommend buying too many. This is very much a substitute for pedialyte or gatorade when you don't want to have bottles hanging around, taking up space or due to the liquid limit on flights. I see this as something to after you vomit or are dealing with diarrhea.

  • I've tried most of the liquid IV flavors and personally recommend the passion fruit or lemon lime. I find in 0.5 L (the recommended dilution), the flavor is a little too strong for me. I usually dilute with a full 1.0L. They make caffeinated flavors too. Personally, I find the matcha flavor absolutely disgusting, but the others are fine. I don't really like matcha generally so if you are a matcha person, maybe you'd think it was fine.

  • I drink these semi regularly. I used to use pedialyte, but these taste better. Still pretty sugary and a bit overly sweet and artificial tasting, but I do believe that they do the job they’re supposed to do even though it’s hard to tell for sure!
