Legendary earns mixed reviews: the brand delivers high-protein, gluten‑free toaster pastries and rolls that satisfy and feel filling, but flavor polarizes and texture often disappoints. Reviews praise strawberry, birthday cake, and wild berry sweet roll when microwaved (20 seconds transforms dryness), while frequent complaints cite cardboard‑like texture, powerful fake sweetener/aftertaste, and density; some also question “healthy” positioning due to high calories.

tastes like what I imagine play-doh tastes like.

I was a little questionable at first seeing it wondering how it might taste. I was like well hey let’s give it a try and in two different flavors. I was very impressed, it tastes great for being gluten free and it has a great after taste. I recommend

These are a neat idea, making the classic pop-tarts into a protein-packed version. However I still don't think it is okay to market them as a "healthy" product given the high calorie count. The price point is also over twice what you would pay for normal pop-tarts.

I enjoy the Legendary snacks for their protein content and taste. I have tried both the toaster pastries and the rolls and have been pleased with both. While they are more expensive than traditional pastries such as Pop-Tarts, the added benefits of protein make it worth it.

The pop tarts are so gross. It was hard to eat. I ended up throwing away some of them. They tasted like cardboard and nothing like a pop tart, they were too thick
TLDR: They taste AMAZING if you microwave them. Otherwise they're weird. Wizardry. I am actually a huge fan of Legendary's protein snacks, but with the absolute 100% contingency that you have to microwave stuff before you eat it, or it will taste like literal cardboard. Not a science person so I don't totally understand why that's the case, but until you microwave their "pastries" (aka pop tarts) or sweet rolls, they are pretty weird. Then once you microwave them, they completely transform into something magical and amazing. It is equal parts confusing and very cool. That being said, had to ding one star just because I can't take these on the go with me - I need to warm them first. But otherwise, they're amazing when they're made well. I haven't tried their protein chips yet, but those are next on my list!
Taste like cardboard
I got strawberry and wanted to love these since I'm trying to find ways to get more protein in my diet. I'll start with the pros: It was surprisingly filling! With only one in the package, I was skeptical it would make me feel full but it did. This was probably due to the 20g of protein in them. As for the cons: There is a weird fake taste to it. I'm not sure if it is the sweetener or the protein used in it? Also, the instructions call for microwaving bread, but the idea of microwaving bread really weirds me out, so I toast them, but they're not the best when toasted. Overall, the pros outweigh the cons for me and when I'm in a pinch I still reach for one. I'm curious to try other flavors and see how they taste.

I’m not a huge fan of pop tarts but I do love that these pack a lot of protein into them. The flavor is good the texture is a little dry but I still prefer to eat these over the overly sugary desert style ones that are supposed to be for breakfast
These are the worst things I've ever ever ever tasted. I know it's a protein snack, I wasn't expecting it to be like a real poptart, but I couldn't have anticipated how aweful this was. The texture is so so gross and the flavor is unbearable. I took one small bite to test it and actually had to spit it out. Just horrible.

I don't know exactly what I expected for a sugar-free protein poptart, but this was really, really unpleasant to eat. The protein aftertaste is terrible and it's clear that protein and poptarts should not be forced to work together. Let's keep treats separate and just let them be treats.

I have tried both their toaster pastries and rolls and found both to be delicious for a high protein snack. The rolls are definitely dense and might not be appealing to everyone, but I find warming them up for a bit in the microwave makes them softer!
I absolutely loved the wild berry sweet roll and was taking them as a quick breakfast for work a few days a week for a while. When cheaper and healthier compared to grabbing fast food breakfast on my way to work, they are a little more pricey to have as regularly as I'd like. I was also disappointed when I realized they have Red 40 in them, and have decided not to get them much anymore. But, since I find them so good, I still occasionally pick one up from the gas station.
I love certain flavors-birthday cake and strawberry. I couldn’t stand the cinnamon one. They are very expensive but nice to have with you for a on the way breakfast. You really need to warm for 20 seconds-it helps.
I really wanted to like this! I tried the strawberry tasty pastry but it has a bad fake sugar taste. I did love the protein content and macros and they’re gluten free which is why I bought these in the first place.

I understand these are keto but I couldn’t get over how powerful the fake sweetener was.
