Kiwi Co earns strong reviews for engaging, age-targeted STEAM projects that kids love to build and play, indicating the brand is good and often effective at sparking creativity and hands-on learning. Reviewers also flag weaknesses: some kits feel too challenging or too easy, interest can fade after a single use, occasional missing parts and plastic-heavy components appear, and durability varies, making long-term engagement inconsistent.

TBH I did not find this brand myself. My sister asked me to gift this to her kids. It went down a treat! Also, I needed to adjust the order after I paid for it and the customer service was terrific.

Not sure since I only experienced the order side.
We received an annual subscription as a gift for our son. These kits are great! My son always asks to do crafts now as soon as the box arrives. He has loved nearly all of them. They are fairly high quality too and hold up well to toddler play.
These boxes are so fun! They have clear instructions, all of the materials, and keeps children occupied for quite a while. Would be great as a gift!

Really great options for interactive/hands-on projects for kids! The projects also give kids an opportunity to learn how to construct an item such as a journal or latern.
I ordered this as a gift for a friend who has twin boys. 1. If you do this, you will have to tell the recipient about the gift yourself. Kiwi Co. will get the goods out but they don't have a good structure or process for gifting. A couple of months of mystery boxes arrived. 2. The boys absolutely loved it. Raves from the kids and the parents. It was a gift so of course the parents are going to say nice things once they knew who to say those things to, but kids that age (3's) not yet fully trained in social graces and the kids were even more enthusiastic than the parents. If you have kids in your life, do it. They grow up SO FAST. You will relish everything that takes you out of your routine and gives you experiences together when the TV is off and the phones are too.

We had the Kiwi subscription for one year for my 6-year-old. She loved getting a new box every month and doing the activities, but the amount of plastic waste in the subscription boxes was hard to stomach-- everything is individually wrapped in tiny quantities, and generally you end up throwing away the project after a couple of months, too. I couldn't handle the waste, so we canceled our subscription.

Both our boys have had a year of Kiwi crates. We got them a subscription and when it ran out, the grandparents re-upped it for them. During the lockdown/COVID times, these crates were a godsend. Both kids loved them and would spend hours creating, crafting and learning. Every crate had multiple activities around a theme, which really helped land the educational aspects.
Feedback
Getting the age level right is tricky. If the crate is too hard, you (the parent) end up doing it. If the crate is too easy, the kid is unsatisfied.

I'm reviewing this from a gift perspective. It's one of the best for kids. I got a 6 month art subscription for my 12 year old niece for Christmas and she absolutely loved it – I just renewed because the experience has been so positive. The projects are high quality and engaging. The creations are include like light strings for her room, or a leather satchel. She eagerly awaits every month's shipment and sends me photos of her creations. It enables us to maintain a close connection through one of her passions, and it's great being a conduit for her in that sense. I plan to give subscriptions to all me nieces and nephews.

No complaints so far. Will update if I see some room for improvement.
