Reviews mention

  • Luxurious, long-lasting fragrance
  • Lightweight, non-greasy textures
  • Visible frizz-reducing performance
  • Reliable heat-protection benefits
  • Thinner reformulated hair oil
  • Inconsistent shampoo lather performance
  • Line-dependent effectiveness variability
  • Perceived artificial ingredient profile

Kerastase earns strong reviews as an effective, salon-grade haircare brand that delivers smoother, shinier, less-frizzy hair, with standouts like Elixir Ultime oil, Nutritive 8H Magic Night Serum, Discipline, Genesis, Chroma, Résistance/Bain Thérapiste, and Curl Manifesto. Reviews also note downsides: certain formulas feel thinner or don’t lather enough, some ingredients read overly synthetic, and performance can vary by line, though scent, lightweight textures, and visible repair and heat protection remain consistent strengths.

  • I have used several products of the brand but my favorite is the Genesis line, I love their smell and the shampoo and serum really worked on my hair growth!!

  • So far, I haven't found a better hair care brand. The first thing that makes me happy and relaxed is the fragrance of the shampoo. I wash my hair, inhale the fragrance and savour it. The shampoo foams beautifully and I use it for 3-4 months every day. I then apply a hair mask or conditioner. My hair doesn't frizz afterwards. It is manageable throughout the day. Only after this care I justify expensive haircuts and go to the hairdresser only after 3 months, not 2. I love this brand.

  • I truly love this brand. I have used their products for years, moving from one line to another, depending on the condition of my hair at that point in time. My new discovery has been the Résistance Thérapiste line. Sadly my hair got damaged due to highlights a couple of years ago, and using a combination of products from this line has changed my hair drastically. I have naturally a lot of curly, coarse and damaged hair, and currently, it looks and feel smoother, shinier and certainly easier to manage. Also, the shampoo lasts me for a long time, as very little of it goes a long way!

  • I have used the heat protector cream for a while and I love the smell of it and I find that it works really well and leaves my hair really soft.

  • The Elixir Ultime Refillable hair oil is the best ever IMO! I have fine hair and use it both after styling and at night and it tames any frizz as well as making my hair silky smooth. I use a small amount and don't feel like it weighs my hair down at all. The scent isn't too strong either which has been a pain point for me in the past with other oils I also like how you can buy the refill at a lower price and just swap it out.

  • I have used the Kerastase Elixir Ultime L'Huile Rose Hair Oil which I was first introduced by my salon in Japan. They told me that it prevents from your hair losing the water after washing your hair. They told me to put on a little bit before starting to blow dry your hair. My hair is black and thick so this hair oil helps me settle down my hair from spreading out. The smell is also similar to Chanel perfume which I love. It lasts for long and easy to use.

  • This is the brand that I see almost every high end hair salon selling, but it's for good reason. I'm in love with Kerastase products and the miracles that they work on my hair are incredible. Kerastase would 100% be part of my daily routine if it weren't so expensive, but it's luxury in a bottle.

  • Truly love & recommend Kerastase. I have been using the Discipline range for a long time and it really helps nourish my frizzy hair. I do also love the elixir, it smells great and is a great serum for everyday use! Expensive yes, but a great investment for your haircare.

  • This is by far my favorite hair care brand. My sister-in-law who is also a hair dresser recommended it to me after I complained to her about my hair woes. I always feel like I'm getting the best bang for my buck with this shampoo and conditioner as it's highly concentrated.

  • I have used their Elixir Ultime hair oil for almost a decade now and I cannot imagine my life (and extra long hair) without it. It keeps my hair moisturized and is a great safety barrier before heat treatments. I also use their shampoo and conditioner (I always get the 1L bottles - much better value for money).
