I first got introduced to Kencko through a Men's Health website link for healthy food/snacks about 2.5 years ago. As always, I look at the "why" of the brand. I was impressed. This is where nutrition, health, environment, and food waste & sustainability all intersect. And they do this with true transparency. Even their packing is compostable. In the true Japanese concept, they have achieved 'Ikigai.' The food - their most popular are their smoothies. My favorite! You can truly eat or drink the rainbow! Each smoothie is labeled a color...while it may always look it with the dry powder, when added to water or non-dairy milk alternative, they do show their true colors! They are all whole-food ingredients and a sent with a leaflet that breaks down their nutrition label. I have tried to them all and do have my favorites, and recommend that you experiment with their smoothies to determine your favorites. They all taste good! The good thing is you can also add it to yogurt or non-dairy yogurt, in oatmeal, cereal, etc. You can also add plant-protein (of your own) or their pea protein to the smoothie to boost the macros for meal replacement. They also have soups/stews and bowls/pasta, none of which I've tried. Their "gum drops" are also whole food ingredients, great snacks for kids. My son loves the apple gum drops. More recently, they have launched into select Walmart stores. Support - Every buyer has access to their dietitians who can help incorporate their item into recipes. They also have virtual educational seminars Company: B-Corp, enough said! I don't recommend their plastic bottle because they're not as easily to clean and leave a lot of residue clinging to the sides. I recommend drinking in glass anyways. Recently, they went to crowdfunding campaign on Republic/WeFunder platform. Since I liked their products and mission so much, and was already using their product for nearly two years, I decided to invest.

The ease to get fresh smoothies and their flavors

I was so excited about kencko because of the ingredients however it did not meet expectations. It clumps up. I ve done everything possible, use a blender, shake it up, etc and it still manages to clump up. Taste is good but the overall clumping of the powder makes it unappealing.

These are great! Opening the box is lovely as they are all laid in a rainbow. The packaging is simple and I tear the top of the box off and put the whole thing in my cupboard. I love that the individual packets are also compostable! I don’t love all the flavors but there are enough options that I feel like i can get a nice array of flavors. You do want to follow the directions or you may end up with clumps and some flavors are more clumpy than others! Ultimately more of a thick juice like Bolthouse or Naked juices. I pre-make mine in the morning and drink it later in the day so all the fruits and veg can rehydrate and then I shake again before I drink. I haven’t tried their custom bottle yet but saw it had a strainer type thing that I imagine will help it mix so I have ordered two. I saw there’s some purchase options where they are complimentary but I didn’t get that option-don’t know why. Maybe look around for that before you buy. I tried the gummies. Not impressed. They are a tiny bag for the price and taste like gummy vitamins. But that’s ok! I’m here for the smoothies and I love them. My family members who are plantbased/whole food diet are enjoying also!

This was my first time purchasing anything from Kencko and I loved the mixed berry flavor. It’s a bit on the pricier side of “smoothies” considering it’s only a powder but overall I wasn’t pleased with the product.

Fun product. The smoothies were yummy. Only complaint is that it is relatively expensive compared to making a smoothie from ingredients at home. Much more convenient though!

We tried purples and reds, the flavor was good. I would have hoped that they would have sifted out the big seeds, but it was still seedy. I didn’t particularly like it mixed with water, so I’ll reserve it for when I’m going to dust a dessert or add flavor to a cookie dough or something. (After sifting out the seeds)

I really enjoy this brands instant oatmeal packs. I have prepared overnight oats with the chocolate banana flavor and it was really tasty. I enjoyed the strong flavor and the texture and liked that there were chocolate piece mix ins the packet

The kencko mixes were pretty good with good flavor especially on hot and humid days! I’m not a fan of the packaging since it’s easy to spill out the powder when opening the pack. It would of been better if the bottle went with the mix packs.

The smoothie packs come in individual serving units, which are convenient for quick use daily and easy to carry on the go. So far I have tried the green and blue flavor packs, and both are flavorful with good nutritional profile. My only pet peeve is the mixing part - the powders were already clumping when I tried to squeeze out of the plastic wrap, and remained in clumps while blending with plant-based milk. It took a lot of effort to blend by hand, so this might not be a good option unless one used an electric mixer.

I bought this because I like smoothies but rarely have them because of the hassle of cleaning our blender. I like that this powder mixes into milk or water and makes an instant smoothie because it's extremely convenient with less to clean. The flavor is decent although not as good as making a smoothie with fresh fruit, of course. It's just a little bit naturally sweet which I like, it doesn't have any overwhelming sweetness. The texture is a little bit strange, like a bit lumpy, some of the powder seems to clump up and not mix in perfectly. Maybe I didn't shake it enough (I am using their branded cup), or maybe it's just supposed to have little pieces in it? Overall I'm pleased with the quality of the smoothie despite its small flaws given that it's made from a powder, and I think it makes a good convenient snack. I liked this flavor when I mixed it with oat milk.⁩ Less

I was hesitant to try these Kencko Instant Smoothie Mixes mainly because I didn’t want to spend the time trying to figure out how they would work and if they would blend up easily into the smooth consistency I like when drinking a smoothie. And honestly I also had my doubts as to how good the quality and taste of this smoothie would be. But, I was quite happy with the results!! The process was so easy using my traditional blender cup. All I had to do was add water or Mille along with the mix, give it a few shakes and wowlaa. The whole thing was done in about a minute and the end was result was a rich, creamy smoothie that tasted wonderful. I had the REDS flavor with strawberry, raspberry and banana and it was to die for! I will definitely be making more trips to my local Target to get more of these treats as the price is great for what you get and the warm temperatures are calling for more smoothies in my future!!

Delicious instant smoothie and the flavor I tried was a combination of strawberry, raspberry and banana. It is vegan, gluten free, non-gmo and no artificial additives.

I liked this new brand! The packaging was eye-catching and the ingredients weren’t overloading. I liked the flavor and will continue to purchase!

Easy tasty recommend

Great way to incorporate more healthy foods into your routine. It’s saves you a lot of effort in sourcing ingredients, chopping, and cleaning blenders and it’s easy to carry around. Not all flavors taste good, but they have a good variety to choose from and to diversify from time to time.

Tried it over a year ago. It works okay, but nothing to really love. Didn't repurchase.
