Ithaca Hummus Reviews

4.5

Ithaca Hummus earns enthusiastic reviews for vibrant, fresh flavors and a smooth, thick texture that elevates staples like Lemon Dill, Lemon Garlic, Everything Bagel, French Onion, and Black Bean, signaling the brand is very good. Reviewers praise the clean, preservative‑free ingredients and creative collaborations, but note drawbacks including a higher price, occasional overly lemony or strong seasoning, inconsistent texture (too thick, grainy, or thin for some), and small container sizes.

  • I just found a new (to me) version of Ithaca Hummus at Publix. Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Sea Salt is perfect for my bagel and I also dunk vegetables in it for extra protein. I personally would like them to use just a little less lemon juice, but it’s not overpowering.

  • I know everyone loves a super smooth and silky hummus. I prefer one that still has a little texture. Ithaca hummus is very smooth and this has great flavor. It’s definitely spicy. I think I prefer homemade though. I put a lot of lemon and use a high quality olive oil. I like this one too. Good as a sandwich topping.

  • This hummus has such a good flavor! The hummus has a smooth creamy texture that’s a great consistency. Its unique taste is something we started craving in my household. Fortunately we were able to find it at Costco so it was easy to stock up. It's great for snacking with pita. The package is nice to eat out of and easy to store.

  • The hummus is fresh and tasty with a thick texture. A little expensive but I was able to find some at costco for a great deal. Overall, I'm not buying this exclusively but definitely enjoy it when I have it!

In their own words

It’s simple. We don’t compromise on fresh ingredients. When we say lemons, we mean real lemons. When we say fresh, we mean no preservatives. We even created a special cold process to maintain the true flavors of our real food ingredients. Trust us, it’s worth it. You can taste the difference. Since we debuted our original lemon garlic hummus at the Ithaca Farmers Market back in 2013, our mission has been to introduce America to its new favorite brand of hummus. Nice to finally meet you.
