Heyday Canning Company earns largely positive reviews for turning canned beans and soups into fast, flavorful meal-makers, with standouts like Coconut Curry Chickpeas, Harissa Lemon Chickpeas, Kimchi Sesame Navy Beans, Enchilada Black Beans, and Tomato Alla Vodka Cannellini. Reviews also flag weaknesses: occasional blandness or excessive sweetness, mushy or overcooked beans, bitter or oily notes, very high sodium, and some flavors missing depth—making quality uneven across SKUs.

  • Great easy side to use when cooking other parts of a meal. I used the enchilada beans in a few recipes that turned out wonderfully. What a convenience to have the beans all flavored and ready to go.

  • I love the seasoned beans. It’s a bit pricy for the size but it’s full of flavor. I picked the coconut curry chickpea and had it in my Thai styled chicken curry and yummm.

  • Obsessed with these! So flavorful and filling! I like to do a full can over some rice for a complete meal

  • I tried the coconut curry chickpeas– at first, the flavor felt a bit off, but as I continued eating them I liked them more and more. Would try some of their other flavors!

  • These beans are now going to be a staple in my pantry. The packaging is so fun and makes it looks so appetizing. There are several different flavors - I tried the enchilada beans and loved the flavor. Added to Turkey chili and enjoy the taste. A bit on the thicker side with the sauce but overall tastes great!

  • Love this idea! These make for a great quick meal with bread, rice or crackers when you're in a pinch. A little pricey IMO but can grab at Whole Foods on sale from time to time.

  • Tried both the coconut curry and the harissa lemon flavors. Easy way to have delicious meals that take little to no preparation. Great flavoring but like to add other things to it.

  • The beans were good, but the sauce was almost too creamy? I am not a person who generally has a hard time finishing a meal but it was so rich I couldn't make it all the way through. It might just been my expectations, and I definitely want to try their other flavors, but I didn't feel like it was something I'd go out of my way to try again.

  • Found it at Whole Foods and bought it as a quick, healthy emergency food alternative. They are onto something. Made a batch of quinoa and tossed the can in - tasty and hearty in 10 minutes. I wasn't totally sold on the idea, but after the first can I'll go back to buy the kimchi sesame and keep a few in the pantry. I love how new companies are re-inventing these old sustainable food practices, but with a focus on flavor and health. Heyday earned a spot on my dry goods shelf.

Was a little surprised to see the coconut current sauce was brown (Indian curry vs. Thai curry) based on the packaging. Coconut and lemongrass signals Thai to me. But the flavors were good, so I just went with it.

  • I loves the sweet potato chili!! Great flavor and there’s enough for two servings. I had it for two lunches. I love that it had so much protein and was so healthy!

  • Super tasty soups! My one thing is that it's lacking salt which is totally fine since I would rather have it undersalted and adjust myself.

  • I have only tried one of the soups, but all of the beans. As someone who is plant based, I find the flavored beans have become a staple in my panty as they are so easy to add too different meals and taste great. I was a bit disappointed in the soup I tried - but am open minded and will try the other ones as I love the beans so much!

  • Love the convenience of the product. But moreover it is great in taste. Also love the fact that it has good nutritional value.

  • Love the different unique flavors. I tried the coconut curry chickpeas and it tasted great. Thought I was eating actual curry and not soup. Love that it’s made of the best ingredients and is healthy/good for me.

  • So far I have only eaten the enchilada black beans… they are delicious! I used them as the base for an enchilada bowl, cooked some rice and threw in a bunch of random veggies that needed to be used up. It was a perfect quick and easy meal. I can’t wait to try some of the other varieties.

  • The harissa chickpeas are delicious, not too spicy, and perfect to add to a marinara for a protein-rich pasta dish. The baked beans are our family's favorite and so flavorful. We're hooked!

  • Wow, I can’t even begin to explain how much flavor was in this can of beans! They were so moist and delicious, and the sauce is full of great spices. I purchased the harissa lemon chickpeas from Heyday and boy were they delicious. I tossed them on a salad and it didn’t even need any additional dressing. The flavor was so good.. I can see using these for multiple purposes.

  • The Kimchi Sesame Navy Beans were excellent. I made the lettuce wrap "recipe" from their website,, and it tasted delicious. I honestly never think to cook with beans, but this can has inspired me to incorporate them more. I would definitely buy again IF I had a coupon. The price of $5.50 for 15oz of beans is very pricey! Twenty-eight ounces of Bush's Original Baked Beans only costs $3.39. I hope they can scale their production in a way that brings down the cost per can since I don't think I see these beans becoming a household staple at these prices.
